If anyone has suggestions for a Canadian datacenter I would put a node up there.

I have no issue connecting to eu.mtred.com
Are you using the right port number 8337 ? If not specified the default port of 8332 is used, which would not be able to connect.

Yea, pretty sure.  Went over all the settings.  I'm in Canada, maybe it's my ISP or something.  I'll need to track it a bit further and see.

wow, 3 in 45 minutes.

EDIT:  was unable to switch to the EU server (just stays at "Connecting" forever).  Double checked all the settings, tried name and IP.  No go.

The "Get New Key" button to generate the API code doesn't seem to be working for me.  Also, holy shit does this round ever end?

I need more data to help you, What browser, os, yadda....

And We found 3 blocks in the last few hours  Smiley

Any browser and Windows 7.  Tested IE, chrome, firefox.  Click on the button and  . . . . . nothing happens.

Also, loving the 3 blocks solved overnight.   Grin Grin

Thanks redditorrex for adding the extra features I requested. But since thanks is rarely enough I have also upped my donation a bit as well.

Thanks Bert, (A la Ernie)
I was busy collecting penguins samples for my arctic animals collection, and should have replied sooner.
Thanks to you MtRed is a little more awesome.

Looking at the code snippet for donations under the Settings page, the simple inclusion of abs() makes me smile every time I see it. It shows me that the designer of the site thinks about security, not just as an add on.

so if I remove that code snippet I'll be able to get a negative contribution?  Roll Eyes
obviously it's not for sanity checks, those should be done at the server

What I love about Mt. Red
-------------------------
When I manually click on withdraw it pays every Bitcoin to 8 decimal places. This alone has made it my pool of choice, making me not want to empty out my account and change pools. Other pools that I have tried enforce a 1 to 0.01 BTC minimum limit. In effect if you decide that the pool is not for you, and you wanted to leave, they keep this in addition to any fees. Individually it is not much but if there are 1000 to 10000 accounts it adds up very quickly.

Looking at the code snippet for donations under the Settings page, the simple inclusion of abs() makes me smile every time I see it. It shows me that the designer of the site thinks about security, not just as an add on.

Things I would like to see on Mt. Red
-----------------------------------
Under "My Rewards" or "Found blocks" an extra column showing my contributed shares.

A payout history showing my total number of Bitcoins made at Mt. Red including (including withdrawn). Also the date Bitcoins were sent, the wallet address it was sent to and the amount that was sent.

Yes the code patch proposed by bitcoin.lc hasn't helped. We are still investigating this issue.

Hi,

mining on MT. Red I get a lot invalid/stale shares (> 20%). This does not happen on btcguild, so I think it has nothing to do with my settings but with the pool? I also observed that there are a lot of fresh block request (long polling). Do others have similar problems?
I am using poclbm (-v -f 30 -w 256) with a HD 5830 on windows.

Yes, I patched bitcoind and we are testing the new code.
I am still observing many invalid/stale blocks. Is this new code already online? Anyone else with the same problems? I temporarly have to switch to a different pool since my effective hash rate suffers from it.

I can't seem to get Phoenix.exe to work with MtRed.com

Here is what I'm using:

phoenix.exe -u http://myusername.myworkername:[email protected]:8337/ -k phatk DEVICE=0 Worksize=256 VECTORS BFI_INT AGGRESSION=12 FASTLOOP=true

This works for other pools.  And I can get the guiminer.exe to work with mtred.com with the same credentials...

any help?

It's showing an error of "Failed to connect."

I don't think you need the myusername part.  At least I don't recall putting that into my .bat file for Phoenix.

You were correct.  That fixed it.  Thanks Mousepotato

I dunno how easy these would be to implement, but here's my list of feature requests:

1. On the /blocks.html page, add a column that displays the time to find each block.  I know you can just do the math and figure it out, but it'd be nice to have a column specifically for this.
2. On the /blocks.html page make a link to BlockExplorer for the found block
3. On the /user/profile.html and /worker/manage.html pages, add some text indicating worker status.  Kinda like what Deepbit has on their /account.html page. "Workers not connected" or "Currently Mining" or whatever the status is of your pool of workers.

Keep up the good work guys, this pool pwnz.
