First took a risk with the timezone working out where you were from. And thanks for the apologies, not necessary but appreciated.

I've been through a lot of Asic companies as well mate, I held off on Cointerra, Hashfast and Blackarrow and went with Knc at the time, didn't regret it, was lucky I guess, managed to get a refund on the Neptune I ordered as well, again luck maybe, I don't think so but some may.

One thing I have to say about Spondoolies, is that they are the first company I have had the experience of OTT customer care and support, if something goes wrong with one of their devices or hosted devices they overcompensate in spades. Thats my experience with them so far, and thats why I think they will be fair with the compo package on the SP30, which is why I'm sticking with them. Not exclusively, you'd be an idiot to stick with one supplier exclusively, but they are where most of my investment is at the moment.

Also I have emailed Spondoolies for estimated shipping dates twice... no responses... I'm asking people here because they have ignored me.

Ok so if the GB is not part of batch one it must still be before batch two as I am positive that they did not start advertising batch two until the GB had ended.

So that means the GB must come after batch one but before batch two. I still don't see how they can be shipping your GB unit on the 30th and then still have time to ship batch two?

I know this account is new but I have been at this for quite some time and have dealt with multiple ASIC manufacturers and you know what when something goes wrong it's always the customer that get's shafted.

This whole fiasco with the sp30 reminds me a lot of what happened with cointerra. They failed to deliver on their specs by a similar margin, they however did the right thing and offered refunds... unfortunately for them ALOT of people refunded and they ran out of money and it pretty much destroyed their reputation when they couldn't pay all the refunds, some had to wait many many months. But it was the right thing to do to offer a refund.

Spondoolies isn't offering a refund but rather a vague promise of a partial refund some time in October...

I'm just sick of these ASIC companies and their bullshit, if they wanted to fix their reputation they would at least be transparent about the shipping.

How many units do they ship a day?
How many units until your order number?
Equals many days until your order ships.

To work out an approximate date is not fucking rocket science Its just adding! Not replying to emails or telling you sometime between 15th-30th is unacceptable. I mean that's half the fucking month, we already know it has to be some time in august, they may as well have just told you nothing!

IF we ever get a partial refund then they might be able to say they have screwed their customers slightly less than cointerra did... Until then they are shipping greatly underspecced units with no refund and no compensation that's the reality. Nobody should be 'pleased' with this situation. 

Even if we ever get the comp spondoolies have said its based on the $/Gh but what about the W/Gh? Its gone from 0.46W(still in the title of this thread) to 0.67W, ~50% increase! This greatly effects the profitable lifetime of the device because power is NOT free. I saw lots of people raise this point on the main spondoolies thread but they were all ignored.

Of course this wouldn't be a problem if they just did the right thing and offered refunds but they won't do that because they know they will have too many refunds and it will destroy their company just like cointerra.

So even though Cointerra fucked over their customers at least they did the moral thing they risked their business to offer refunds when they failed. Spondoolies won't even take this risk, it's shameful really.

To anyone who thinks the compensation will make up for the under delivered specs. YOU ARE DREAMING! If Sponds had the money to make us all whole then they would just offer refunds plain and simple. What we MIGHT get is PARTIAL compensation but we will NOT be made WHOLE.

Seriously though, you could at least wait till the 15th, which is when they have been telling most people who care to ask them, when the GB will ship. Its also middle of the month, which really was a day away. I only posted the email to hint that you could have just asked them yourself

Although I can see why you might be upset if you thought that the group buy was in the first batch.

My understanding all along has been that the Roadstress GB was not in the first August batch, so depending on your order number you will be sometime between the 15th and the 30th, as will I.

And no I'm not an American or even in America, you post was at 11:40PM on August 13 in my time zone, which is only 2 hours ahead of Israel time zone. Just bear that in mind on August 15th that your about 8 hours ahead when you throw your toys out of your pram once more you bogan

Thanks for sharing your email. However it's not particularly useful as it is already the 15th and if they were to ship after the 30th it would no longer be in August... I had kind of already assumed this...

I guess this because it is generally those from the most self obsessed nation on the planet that fail to realise that it is a different date and time at different places on the planet "Gasp!".

I'm sure that this will come as a surprise to you but I posted that at about 10AM of the 14th in my time zone. I know I was a whole 14hrs before it was halfway through the month (according to you). Seriously who fucking cares it's basically halfway through... why must you be such a fucking pedantic arsehole?

I mean do you really think people will read your post a think 'wow that guy he's seriously smart pointing out its not precisely halfway through the month, how clever!'.

The point remains it's approximately halfway through the month and they haven't stated when they will start shipping. Since there are two batches in August and this GB was in the first batch I think they should announce that by now... Also if they do wait until the 30th (as they say they might in your email) to start shipping this GB then it would mean the august batch 2 will not be on time or it got shipped out ahead of these GB orders. Neither of those things are good...

Keep checking... this week or next I would think given the original plan and numbers for production indicated back in the thread.

I suspect my unit will be shipping after the 20th... sometime and I ordered a bit later than many of the other 250 units for this GB.

I asked RoadStress and SPTech to give a timeline nothing yet and I asked in thread and via email as well.

Have to agree they should have a target date on the orders but they were clear that mid August was the earliest we would get this GB units if I am not mistaken.

Altcoins if you choose wisely will probably give you the best returns. BTC is going to require that you are building PH/s solutions if you can get a number of people together. Small mining at home is dead at this point even with a bump in BTC price the bigger players are swallowing up the field now.

I think its established that the next diff is 20% but the kicker is the one after that should be lower so i think we will still see the projected 10% per month diff increases.

Me i'm geting out of GPU mining an altcoins too many damn scams, I think there is still money to be made mining pure bitcoins and other SHA coins.  As diff goes up I am sure price will go up back to the 700s and 800s of last year around jan and feb.

My order was transferred and I'm done with all crypto mining.
Enjoy the next 20% or 25% crippling blow to the mining difficulty increase that
is coming up next.
I have a feeling when the group buy miners start shipping and are received
that an SP30 will earn less than .1BTC per day.
If Id have just held the 20+ BTC I spent on mining gear a few months back
Id have made around 3K USD instead of JUST BARELY breaking even with
SP10s and SP30s even at a reasonable discount.
Mining for people like us with 5 or 10K to spend is just dead.  
It is to the point now where buying mining gear is just burning your money.

This mining game for people like us trying to earn a little bit of profit is to
the point where buying anything at more than 20C per GH/s and using VERY
little power and maybe 100 TH/s of hashing power, there is just NO MONEY left in it.
The people selling the picks and shovels are the only ones that can ensure
they make a profit anymore.


SP-Tech staff is very helpful with the transfer and they helped me out
with the buyer to put the order into his name.

NOW, if you are going to sell your order, you honestly have NO
protection as a seller with escrow unless you very very specifically
detail the terms with the person holding funds for escrow.
I was at the mercy of the buyer 100% of the time with escrow and until
they were happy, the escrow would not release the funds.  Not exactly
how I thought escrow works but that is neither here nor there.  Just BE
VERY CAREFUL and ensure that you have solid terms that will protect you
when you get an email from the SPTech sales that can prove the buyer is
the new owner of the order and miner when it ships.

Per Gadi, once the order is given to them to transfer to the new buyer, they
will NOT transfer it back to your name if you are not paid.

I would suggest if the buyer insists on escrow, inform them and the
person holding escrow that once you produce an email from the sales
staff saying that the order is transferred, that meets the sellers portion
of the transaction and that funds be released.  Once they do the transfer
the seller CAN NOT ask for the order back.

You can trust Gadi and Katya that if they say the order is transferred to
your name, IT WILL be in your name.

The SPTech sales system was not set up for order transfers so until
they can fix that, the order WILL NOT show up in their SPTech account.
It will still show up in yours with their name and shipping details but
THEY will own the device and order. They are trying to work out with
the Point Of Sale system to be able to transfer the order to new SPTech account
to keep the same order number and queue position after the transfer to the
new SPTech account.
