That is huge amount $ 7 millions were stolen from the ICO money through that hacking. Team has secured only $ 6.5 millions. It is big big loss but team's statement on official site is very encouraging as they will keep the project up with remained money in hands. Everyone will get paid this is highest example of professionalism.

NO, because doing this they will damage all!

They should use their 6.5 million to refund the 7 million stolen.

Unfortunately it seems there's no good solution for all here. The people who sent to right address will have to compensate the ones who didn't is basically what the team is saying. Don't know, maybe it's better to just give ETH back, but than there are no tokens for the people who got scam address.  Undecided

No that's not right! The people who sent to the right address should be refunded instantly due to the fact that the team have their ETH available right now! That ETH should be given back to their rightful owners. Those who sent to the fake address will be compensated with CDT tokens.

What an absolute shit show this has become.

Your solution makes no sense.  If CoinDash refunds ETH to the Whitelist, they will have no funds to actually create the product rendering CDT absolutely worthless instead of just largely reduced in value (as it is currently).  Your solution also implies that those who sent to the incorrect address on the OFFICIAL website are at fault and should just be screwed over.  This would make the CoinDash team look even worse by giving their friends and angel investors (whitelist people) full refunds and quitting on the general public who invested.  Not smart.
Project is DOA.  Who the fuck is going to trust these clowns with financial information.

Refund the whitelisted folks so at least some of us make it out of this shitstorm.

Several exchanges have been hacked and have had funds stolen and they are still fully operational, as they made their clients whole.  If CoinDash creates a unique and solid project, and hires some decent security people to fix their issues - why should they be any different?  It is easy in the immediate aftermath to write this entire project off as a complete failure and dead - and many will sell their tokens at a large loss.  But maybe we shouldn't just all sell out immediately.  I judge a team on their performance after true adversity strikes and how they move forward and overcome.  Unfortunately the CoinDash team has a monstrous mountain in front of them now.  How they react from here will reveal their true colors.  They need to be 1) as transparent as possible, 2) show how they were hacked and what they will do to fix the security issues, 3) work twice as hard to overcome the obvious reputation problem they are going to have with half the funds they were hoping for, 4) be as patient as saints with all the venom that is about to come there way.

Oh..you keep getting better.....the sale is not over until all coins are sold or 28 days will pass.

Why don't you contact me in PM and we will settle a bet about which one of the above will come sooner .....

I can't believe they have not offered a refund to people who have sent to the whitelisted address it's ridiculous the eth they raised through that address was under 250 what can they possibly do with that eth that will help the project it is a tiny amount of money in the grand scheme of things but yet they won't refund. I bet Taas fund will get a refund for their 500 eth.

They could easily set up a smart contract where people send back their CDT and get their eth equivalent in return that would be fair.
I doubt they will or can.  They can't make this project happen without the remaining 6.5 mil. The people who got robbed will be left with a project without funds.

Really shitty situation they could have been avoided if....YOU FUCKEN RETARDS JUST LISTENED TO CINTRIX.  Instead the retarded admin flamed him after he pointed out NUMEROUS FUCKEN THINGS WRONG.

I am wondering how their website got hacked? We should ask for a detailed report.

They are supposed to be a secure trading platform. Do they not have multi-factor authentication setup for their servers?

Seems like a basic security flaw to me.

They should refund their legitimate investors; how can a blockchain security company continue after having their ICO hacked?

Today is a bad day for crypto, investors, companies and the community as a whole.

I wonder if this will create support for a Ethereum dispute mechanism, to protect against blatant malice.

Dear CoinDash contributors,

It is unfortunate for us to announce that we have suffered a hacking attack during our Token Sale event. During the attack $7 Million were stolen by a currently unknown perpetrator. The CoinDash Token Sale secured $6.4 Million from our early contributors and whitelist participants and we are grateful for your support and contribution.

CoinDash is responsible to all of its contributors and will send CDTs reflective of each contribution. Contributors that sent ETH to the fraudulent Ethereum address, which was maliciously placed on our website, and sent ETH to the CoinDash.io official address will receive their CDT tokens accordingly. Transactions sent to any fraudulent address after our website was shut down will not be compensated.

This was a damaging event to both our contributors and our company but it is surely not the end of our project. We are looking into the security breach and will update you all as soon as possible about the findings.

The CoinDash vision, product and team will continue to live on. We will be fast to recover and we will create the future of trading.

Reminder: We are still under attack. Please do not send any ETH to any address, as the Token Sale has been terminated.

More information will be published on our social channels and our website.

This sounds weird hackers successfully stolen huge amount even their connection to website is secure. Anyway all people compensated and will get rewarded with coins as based on their contribution amount.

Do you really think that is fair? The tokens will be worth much less (at least 50% less) because of what happened. The fair thing would be to refund with ETH!
Everyone should be aware of the fact that finance is a risky space.

The outcome as it looks now is much better than it could be. They could give nothing.

Well, in my opinion such hack is not possible considering the security protocols and protected servers, even in worst case scenario if we assume that a hack occured, it could only be done by the owner or any team member who knows the protected data, so catch the culprit if you are true and sincere with the investors as he is around you, but i do not think it is going to happen,
Secondly, i think this project should be closed as no one will trust you second time and put their money up for trading in your already scam platform..

If this is a scam, it's quite smart.
1) Set up a website with a capped ico (not uncapped so it doesn't look too scammy)
2) change addr in the middle of the ICO
3) pretend to be hacked
4) promise to give the scammed people tokens as a "solution"
5) actually you offload the loss to the people who invested to the right address, by making them pay an "invisible tax" to refund the scammed ones
6) go back to normal, you now have $7 million in your pocket and less angry people because they were "refunded" with tokens
I am not saying it's a scam... but if it is, it's a pretty good one . Wink

Because its not his first million dollar scam.. They know what they must do Wink

Have you all seen how arrogant dev was just before ico start, few pages back? Karma bitch.

And finally, only whitelisted chaps and domek others will get their tokens.

Well, good luck with that.

What are you talking about?
The "devs" didn't lose anything, they earned $6 million
It's people who invested that lost their money and will get worthless tokens in return.

They lost a lot. Trust of investors.

They don't need trust, they already have $6million (or maybe $12 million). :^)
