Yes you are right and the result is very beyond expectations with Brazil failure to win, on the other hand Argentina also experienced the same thing with 2 - 1 defeat from Paraguay which made many people feel disappointed with all these results.
Seeing the Brazil squad filled with fairly perfect line-up of players but they lack confidence to be able to play optimally, managed to dominate the game but failed to get goal advantage with the various opportunities they got, I pessimistic whether Brazil will be able to qualify easily later.

In my opinion, Brazilian players have always been arrogant, some think they are superior and this compromises teamwork. A classic example of this that I can remember is when Neymar scored his last goal for the national team. There were 5 minutes left in the game and all they had to do was hold on, but Fred went up. This caused some players to attack, compromising the defense.

I want to believe that you actually do not have good knowledge of the Uruguay team for you to make such statement because the Uruguay I know is very capable of beating any team in the world on their day even without some of their best players. Brazil is on improvement mode but still needs to be more aggressive in coming games while now their spot is already fixed for the World Cup 2026 but if they want to have better results they needed their attack is having more firepower with their defense is also needed to be more effective currently in top 6 teams they have the weakest defense which conceded 10 goals.

I find it very strange to see Chile at the bottom of the standings, it is not that I don't watch football anymore, of course I watch more European football but I remember Chile to be a great team not many years ago and I don't understand why they are so down. The other teams must have improved a lot so that I see Chile standing in the bottom of the standings, their local league I watch sometime Colo Colo vs Universidad de Chile and they show a great game that gives me emotions so this is very strange for me to see them so far down the bottom. I agree, the coach needs to be changed, or at least the team's tactics. They haven't won anything for a while and they need to show that they are at least interested in winning. If they go to the World Cup with this game, they won't even make it to the second round.

sometimes I wonder why it's sometimes deficult for some players that are doing well at club side to replicate same kind of attitude when it comes to playing for there national team. For some continent that have a different kind of football from what's obtainable at the club side, it's understandable that some of them might not be used to that kind of games but when you're looking at Brazil squad that are almost playing at same leagues, it's strange to see that they don't tent to perform to expectations. Vini jnr is going to struggle in winning the balon d'or untill he's able to show that he's a able to replicate the kind of performance he's playing at his club in the Brazil national team.

He's a fighter and regardless of losing the penalty, he still tried and made some evident impact in the game. It's a work in progress and I believe with time he's going to start putting up an impressive performance for his national team.

It is truly a disgrace for Argentina to lose to a team like Paraguay, the World Cup winners. Argentina's players performed very well in the beginning of the match and Argentina took the lead with a goal in the 11th minute, but Paraguay responded to Argentina's goal in the 19th minute. Overall, Argentina's attack and possession of the ball were the most, while Paraguay's possession was very low and their attack was not that much. However, after half-time, Paraguay scored another goal and later, although the Argentine team attacked enough, they could not succeed. Basically, I think Argentina was not destined to win this match, which is why they lost this match against Paraguay, of course, Argentina will have to dominate more in the next matches.
