It is still better to gamble indoors until now. There are also other online sports betting sites that have returned to operation.

Some sports in other countries started to resume but I think not most of the games we bet on like NBA or FPL.

Usually we are sticking to esports betting right now since sports are delayed or postponed by the pandemic. These days I've been reading about some NBA players tested positive like Westbrook and Harden though Ihope is just a fake news. Saying that, I doubt they will resume the season means longer times without games and no bettings of course.
I heard NBA is set to start again later this month, is that news correct? Because I even see markets on NBA at bet365.

As a cricket fan it was so heart warming to see the test cricket that unfolded out recently and everyone looked really in good shape apart from some players loosing their form as I could clearly see that James Anderson was not at his peak maybe because lack of training or maybe because of the recent injuries he had to cop with during the South Africa series.

I would like the NBA and MLB to be resumed as well because those were the two single handedly best leagues we can witness and while I see some markets being offered for NBA on 31st July, I am not entirely sure if they are going to happen yet.
Yes, nba is going to return on july 30 after a break time of almost 5 months. Other sports leagues should also resume their activities soon if they aren't already doing this. Of course fans can't reach close to athletes, aglomeration won't be allowed and the athletes will have to follow new rules because coronavirus.
But for gamblers who were worried about their games it's already good news.

With some cities in some countries showing massive or record spikes in COVID-19 cases, it means some sporting events might be pushed back further and might not resume for some more weeks or time.

Maybe depending on the law of a certain country, like in the USA, they still have a big spike of COVID-19 cases but I haven't heard that the NBA will be postponed, it is still scheduled to resume this July 30, 2020.
You are right, policies in each country are different...
I'm sure the sporting events will continue and the whole country in the world will definitely start over again, but what they will not start is accepting the audience, as long as the vaccine has not been found, I am sure the audience will not be allowed to be present at every sporting event.

Where I live now because of my work is a country which everything that happens no ones really care. The Football Federation of Albania allowed for the game Partizani vs Tirana which happens also to be the derby of the capital city here to be played although 5 players from Partizan resulted positive to Covid 19.

Also in other countries games are being played in soccer so I think Covid 19 is not impacting soccer that big anymore.

Well if it would last longer we would see many clubs going bankrupt. Of course with many other business connected directly with sport events. People should be careful, with that part I agree, but to make some crazy restriction would ruin entire sport sector to the point  from where they can't recover!
What happened this year never happened in history, and of course it will have effects on all sports and gambling on those sport games. We already see some of those effects and I think we can expect changes to be made for future, not only this virus now, as we see they announced new viruses to come, more deadly, so we will see what will happen, for now it's crazy to give any prediction because we see official don't know what will happen, just a lot of guessings from all sides.

No matter what kind of game it is, as long as it is played outdoors, it will still be better for everyone to follow the health protocols.
It's compulsory, those who don't follow has to be arrested, there should be a law like that as that would create a big trouble when they get infected or they can infect people.

Still, be strict in enforcing restrictions so that no one is infected with the virus. Please do not allow the virus to spread and increase the number of deaths due to the virus.

It is still better to gamble indoors until now. There are also other online sports betting sites that have returned to operation.

Sports betting operation has never close as there are games that are still played even at this time, and we also have esports who gets more popular during this time, and now that the major sports will resume especially the NBA, I guess we will all enjoy betting and watching them live on TV once again.

Many sport competition stop impact of corona virus, almost countries in the world stop for their sport competition more than three months, although today have several countries start for sport event again, I think asian country still waiting until corona virus could stopped for running with sport event, right now olympic event in Japan have been cancel for next year and waiting will corona virus could stopped.
Now just watching football without have supporter at the stadium and look nothing how player celebrate their goal.
You do not need to worry because sooner or later, we will see supporters at the stadium again. But of course, the sports staff event needs to make sure that the sports event can secure the event and have a good result from the last games. The coronavirus already killed so many people in almost all countries, but now, some countries try to continue the sports event that is canceled a few months ago. The coronavirus impact will not stay with us forever because after the vaccine is found, people will not be afraid of the virus again.

Many sports are returning but are being played behind closed doors keeping spectators away and that seems like a well thought out manner in which to ease things back to normal.

I read an article stating the French Open would be played in late August and early September with up to 60% of audiences sitting in some of the stands and that just makes me surprised as to why they would want to take such a big risk rather than hold the tournament behind closed doors.

Apparently they want to make money not only from selling the rights to TV broadcasts of the tournament. The organizers also want to earn money from ticket sales. One good thing is that the games are held outdoors, which reduces the chance of getting infected with the virus.

This new normal will not last forever, at some point either the vaccine gets discovered, produced and administered to enough people to stop the spread of the virus or the virus infects people to the point there is no else to infect, and at that point we could go back to our previous lives, the only problem is that this is not going to happen anytime soon, it will take at least until the end of 2021 so for the time being it is important to take all the precautions we can and avoid physical casinos if possible.

That's my timeline too, end of 2021. All activities will go back again in their usual.

It's not really mandatory to avoid physical casinos. People can still go there as long as they will follow the strict protocol. Businesses should go back slowly.

As for sports events that already resumed, I do hope that the management will strictly impose their protocol. Players will surely be confident in the long-run and they might ignored those protocols since they will think it's safe now.
It is not a must to avoid casinos, however I say this because while I know that many people in the forum are taking the right precautions to protect themselves and their families at the same time there are many people that are acting as if nothing is happening and if you are unlucky enough to cross your path with one of those people when you are at the casino the chances you get sick go up exponentially, at least to me this is the time to be very cautious and if that means giving up visiting physical casinos for some time then so be it.

I'd like to believe in it. For example, the SARS vaccine was invented, but how useful is it? People continue to get this disease despite the vaccine. I believe that some kind of super vaccine will be needed against the very appearance of all coronoviruses, including mutating ones. Perhaps a vaccine based on the antibodies of convalescent people may be created in the future. In any case, humanity must somehow cope with this problem.

This is all like fairy tales.
In China, there is an outbreak of bubonic plague, and you are talking about a super medicine that will cure us of all diseases.

Need to think in real terms. Currently, medicine is struggling with new types of viruses that mutate faster and faster.
The human body copes with viruses much better than the remedies offered by medicine, but even so, people died in the thousands and millions every century.

The gambling industry would be greatly affected because they are losing all the possible opportunities to gamble.

I think you are talking about the gamblers losing the chance to gamble offline.

But still, if we will be talking about that it would be great since instead of these gamblers gambling, they are saving the money that they can use for them to take care of themselves during the pandemic. They can do some online bets but they are limited to esports and other live casinos but not all of them are in favor of doing that.

60% is a very large number. Given that there is a big risk that people will violate safety rules. It is enough to see how many violations were in countries where quarantine was introduced.
According to the latest data, even ordinary rag masks do not save the virus, and in this kind of congestion there will be enough just a couple of carriers of the virus that can feel fine and not suspect anything.
assymptomatic of course there are many of this since the virus is not that really fatal but it could make other sickness to complicate like high blood and diabetes. This virus also dangerous to those individuals with low immune system. The older individuals are considered high risk because of their loe immune system.

However, corona virus made an impact to esports like mobile legend. More and more users playing this game and it is widely known globally I guess.

I like that idea, we can always expect that the unusual would happen, they are playing in a different atmosphere and venue, so probably there's a big changes, plus they might gain weight due to long break, so that could affect the offense, under as well for TOTALS bet.
LOL, well others sports like NBA had made already some trial and error strategy to continue the event. I have seen in a news putting the players at risk with these players around during the practice to where objective is how to isolate players and from.the crowd and to continue the basket wirhout comprimising the players health. But if anything could go wrong then organizers will definitely will going to face the consequences on this matter.
