Try to find the package you need :
Code:
sudo apt-get install aptitude
aptitude search boost
Then simply install it.

When Crave first came out I 'burned' some Crave to Blur assets.

Can anything be done with these Blur assets yet?

I've found normal builds of the "craved" process will stop running with 512MB after a few days, while 1 GB keeps going stably.

thanks for your help, i better will get one with 1GB.

is vultr.com a good choice for my VPS?

Vultr is fine. 1 masternode uses usually ~315Mb memory so 1Gb is highly recommended. You can use a swap file to increase your VPS performance aswell following this guide.

Thank you for the swap guide ! Really helpful.

thanks for update.

could you explain how a masternode technical works (if i use instruction Method A)?

where are my coins? on my windows computer or on my remote Linux VPS?

what happens if i loose access to my remote Linux VPS?

is it possible to unlock Masternode on my windows computer?

Is Remote Linux VPS Crave using another wallet? or the same?

should i secure it with another passphrase or must i use the same?

yeah, but it should also be updated on coinmarketcap, there is still the old icon.

Coins are stored on your Windows machine wallet, the VPS just runs empty wallets as masternodes. Both use the same wallet but you run multiple instances.
You only need to secure your Windows wallet and you can close it when your MN is active.

I seem to be having trouble with the new release.  I can't get the masternodes to say "masternode started remotely" like they used to before the update.

I've printed the debug log to the console and looked for clues, it says:

CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Checking inbound connection to 'xxx:yyy'
CActiveMasternode::GetMasterNodeVin - Could not locate specified vin from possible list
CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Could not find suitable coins!
CActiveMasternode::Dseep() - Error: masternode is not in a running status
CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Error on Ping: masternode is not in a running status

But I've started the nodes, they are synced, and in the masternode list.. But I think they'll all drop out?

You can try this command in the controller wallet console :
Code:
addnode vps_ip:port onetry
masternode start-alias mn_name your_password
Ports must be open on the vps, else the masternode will get banned.

Thanks, that said "result: 'successful', I can get to the node/port from the outside (with telnet), but the node still said "not capable masternode: Could not find suitable coins!" - I did do a cleanup transaction to move all the non 500 coin amounts to the reward address, could that have unlinked anything?  I'll try a new TX next perhaps.

EDIT:  I tried a new TX with same result.  Then I rebuilt the crave-2.0.4.1 binary, and all is well again, so something has stopped working with the activation process in the latest release. I'm still using the latest .2 wallet but without reward addresses specified on the controller side, and downgraded to .1 for the nodes.

I'd be happy to help debug it further if I can.

In the meantime I'll downgrade the remaining nodes and should be happily craving away..  Cheers Smiley

thanks for information

Da$h MN Setup instruction recommend to setup a firewall (ufw) and open port 9999.

is this also recommended for crave?

sorry for my dumb questions, i am a beginner  Smiley
Yes if you use the 9999 port.
