Anyone interested in the ongoing U-19 world cup? We had an upset in the very first match. Afghanistan thrashed South Africa by 7 wickets, with 25 overs to spare. Afghan spinner Shafiqullah Ghafari destroyed the South Africa, by taking 6 wickets for 15 runs. I have a feeling that this is the way things will be in the future. South Africa is a declining team, and Afghanistan is one of the sides that are rapidly improving. The manner in which they annihilated South Africa means that in the future they will be one of the top cricketing sides.
That's a threat for South Africa cricket. Their current team isn't doing good. If the future one also same, I see some bad years for them in cricket.
Today, Bangladesh will play against Zimbabwe. In warm up Bangladesh had good performance against Australi but had a worst against NZ. I think they will win today.

These are the matches we have for today:

Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe
Japan vs New Zealand
Canada vs UAE
Australia vs West Indies

Apart from the 4th match (AUS vs WI), I expect all of them to be one-sided. Japan will be playing their first match ever in U19 World Cup. They are up against one of the strongest teams.

There is a small error in your post.

It is Australia VS India and not West indies. Amazingly everyone is also replying to this incorrect post. Today is the final ODI between these two team both are level at 1-1. It will be intresting to watch this match.

West Indies had a thrilling win over Australia, they won the match by 1 run. West Indies scored 180 batting first and Australia lost all of their wickets within 35 overs but they were able to score 179. I think AUS players were too much naive that they can't play a longer innings.

Both teams have won a match each and the final match will be the decider of the series. At this point we cannot declare who will be the clearer winner, unless the match is played. Australia need to restrict India under 300 as anything above 300 will impossible to chase batting 2nd. Batting first team will need to make run as close to 300. The match will be an interesting one and gambling on this match will be even more fun.
I am not too confident on which team to wage a bet as both the matches were completely different, one match Australia dominated and the second one India dominated and the final one is interesting because of that, i would rather watch the match than wagging a bet. Grin The toss will be crucial and i am not sure about the health situation of Rohit Sharma where he injured his shoulder while fielding in the last match and if he is not fit to play then it will be major blow for India.

I am expecting India to win the series, India lost a lopsided match in the first match but came back and won the second and it shows the competitive spirit and the entire team revolves around how the top order will perform and if they fires then India will score well above 300 and the toss is an important factor as the team chasing does have a clear advantage when you have pitches that favors the batsman.

Today they are both playing the second ODI, like last match today also Australia has won the toss and is bowling first. Rohit Sharma is out. What do you think will happens today. Will Australia win again ?

Cant deny the chances of Aussies winning another match after the performance of them in the previous match. Indian batsmen playing carefully in this match and hopefully they will make a more than 300 in this match.

I saw a glimpse of that match and Afghans literally destroyed South Africa. It looks like Afghanistan has been preparing all these years for the future. I am looking forward to India's match as they are the favorite ones to win. Its also a good thing for teams like Japan, Canada and Zimbabwe as these cricketers will get good experience.

This would have to be one of the best performances by an Australian team I have seen playing in India. That was a dominate win on Indian soil and to win by 10 wickets is amazing as not many teams will be able to achieve this playing in India. Like I have said many times before this Australian team is now well balanced and can take on any team and beat them where ever they play. Its starting to look like this team can be the team like the Australian team in the 90's early 2000's.

They went through a lot of turmoil during the period when David Warner and Steve Smith were suspended. It was during this period that they lost the home series to India. But their fortunes immediately changed once Smith and Warner came back to the side. The Ashes series win in 2019 was a major morale booster for the Australian side. Right now all of their batsmen are in top form (Steve Smith, David Warner, Aaron Finch, Marnus Labuschange.etc) and the same can be said about their bowlers as well (Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc.etc).

Yeah that was a good comeback by the Australian team. I felt that the Indian team were over confidant after winning few matches beginning of the year, they underestimated team Australia resulting in a defeat.

Today they are both playing the second ODI, like last match today also Australia has won the toss and is bowling first. Rohit Sharma is out. What do you think will happens today. Will Australia win again ?
Once after the toss it was predicted to be the match of Australia, because same as the previous match everything have taken place. Australia was strong taking early wicket, but then onwards when Indian players started to score the winning percentage of India started to increase slowly.

Finally the score 340 runs gave the winning for India. In between Australia played well and so partnership break between Labuschagne and Smith turned the match go out of their hands.

Australia got a great chance to defeat India at this moment. I know that the bowling line of India is strong but the Aussies batting is nothing less. I think this would be a great match to watch for cricket lovers. My bet is on India still as I believe wind and pitch is supporting the bowlers.

Won by 10 wickets with more than 12 overs to spare!!!

The Australian team landed in India just a couple of days back. They had hardly anytime to get themselves acclimatized. Even after all this, they managed to defeat the no.2 side (as per the ICC ODI rankings) by such a big margin. You can love them, or hate them. But you need to admit that the Australians are the most professional of all the cricketing sides.

Agreed, the team looks strong and in balance. If you look upon each players contribution there'll be something from their part. Indian players too have the same, but at instance every player can't be believed to contribute according to the match situation. The performance against Australia is very bad, with more than 250 runs unable to take a single wicket is a.shame to the Indian Cricket team. Somehow this series is already reserved for Australia.

Australia was expected to win this series because Warner and Smith were playing for them, and honestly I didn’t expect Finch would join in the party and hammer Indian bowlers. @vella85 most of these Australian players play regularly in IPL and they know exactly what conditions in India are like, hence I was not surprised they played so well and comfortably won the game.

Sports channels in India are no longer cheap. If you want to subscribe to the entire Star Sports bouquet, then it can cost you somewhere around $24 per year. Add in Sony/ESPN and that becomes $36 per year. If 100 million households in India are subscribed to these two packages, then it means $3.6 billion in revenues per year, just from the Indian market.
It is true that the high bidding broadcasting rights will end up in the head of the consumers, they will be making the amount of money from the users and then the billions they will be earning during the matches with advertisement revenue and since it is a huge consumer market all the corporate giants and using the cricket matches to advertise their products and that is how they are getting their benefits and everything is on the end consumer and there was a time when i used to watch as the broadcasters used to cut for advertisement just as the last ball is delivered in an over without giving you the opportunity to watch the entire sequence which was really irritating.

They are charging a lot for subscription to these channels and then earning even more by showing advertisements. The government tried to limit their greed by fixing a maximum limit on the subscription fee per channel. But then these guys increased the number of channels and spread out the matches in all the channels. Star Sports is having close to two dozen channels in India and ESPN/Sony is not far behind. If you subscribe to all these channels, then the monthly fee would be greater than the subscription cost for your broadband service.
