We have no commence on his capacity, he occasionally plays beyond our thoughts, but at the moment arises on his consistency at this stage. Like Risabh Pant there so many young talent sit on the benches, but as you said we can't miss the taste his superiorities game play on upcoming world cup.
In run chases no one in the world plays better than Dhoni and Kohli at the moment and we saw the evidence in the last match, if not for Dhoni i do not think i will be confident enough to tell that he can bat throughout the innings, he is a young lad and he has time and opportunity, India need a consistent performer like Dhoni in the team to hold one end and i would say that he is the best finisher ever, there is no other player to claim that spot.

Yeah, good old days. Dhoni spot is fixed in World cup squad no matter what his critics say. As a cricketer, he brings lots of things on the table be it wicket keeping or an abundant amount of experience with his calmness especially during the critical moments (Field)

I am in favor of Pant too and would love to see him in world cup 15 men squad at-least but as a batsman. Chances are very thin due to tough competition for number 4 and 6 in between Ambati, Kartik, Kedar Jadhav.

Hey Ms Dhoni is the most experienced cricketer in the Indian team, and it’ll be foolish to leave him out especially in a tournament like the World Cup. I know he’s not in the top form one expects him to be in, but at his age I would choose him for his experience rather than form. They should definitely consider keeping Pant in the team, as he’ll be able to finish close matches but there’s tough competition for his spot.

yes definitely the 2019 World Cup will need MS Dhoni to be a big part to survey the team as his experience made the team more stronger and the next match also he will perform very well like the previous match that we have seen before and his finishing moments will also be a good for the team also.

We all know that he's not younger anymore and can't play like what he used to be, but we shouldn't forget that he's a damn good match winner in our current squad in his day.
Exactly, I still remember the match against Srilanka where Dhoni knocked a brilliant 183. No one thought that India would win the match but Dhoni made it at the end. He was really the best finisher ever. Time flies and he changed. I still think he has the capacity of changing a game. And that's why I still support him for world cup squad despite some people's thinking about Risabh Pant.

Final match will be interesting to watch. Australia has played well although they had lost the 2nd ODI. Definitely credit goes to Kohli and Dhoni, of course, bowlers too. If Australia can perform the same in the last ODI, they will definitely have the great chance of winning.
Dhoni critics hiding their face in this win lol. but for a moment i was scared when Virat kohli got out. luckily Dinesh Kartik played cruical cameo in the end and took pressure away from Dhoni. we have a decider in 3rd match.
Yeah, critics are not seen nowadays, lol. I do not think there was a reason of scared because Dhoni and Kartik was there and there was a little amount of run needed which can be easily taken by them. 3rd one will be interesting since it will decide the series.
You can call me hater hahaha. i am hiding my face too when talking with my friends in college  Grin Dhoni playing too slow these days. he builds the extra pressure on other batsman. i think my reason of fear are justified at least for me lol. Thanks to Kartik and his quick runs otherwise who knows Huh

I like your honesty and you shouldn't hide your face because you are not doing any crime by hating Dhoni. Most of us go with the majority opinion, which is not wrong or even right.  As long as you are cheering for Men in Blue. You can hate anybody in the team.

Nothing would happen if Kartik didn't play good, still Dhoni would made it possible. It's true that Dhoni is playing slow nowadays but you have to consider yhe situation too. India lost 3 wickets within 4 runs, there was no way but to defence and stay in ground. Most of the matches where Dhoni made a slower score/half century was in a match in which Indians batsman was in trouble. Can you remember the match against Pakistan in which India won even with a 163 score only? I was like oh Dhoni, you are the great.
Tactics is required at these times . Karthik did play well and Dhoni too , if Dhoni hadn't scored 50 ( and also built a partnership with Kohli ) then it would have been difficult for them to win . To sum it up , Dhoni knows the game better than us and he is a master so lets just believe in him .

Today lot of users might have lost in today's cricket betting between the teams India and Australia. Taking the previous match into consideration none could have thought such a defeat chasing 298 will happen in the second innings. Most users could have selected the odds for Australia, because from the beginning of the match as well even till the end of the second innings Australia had the lowest odds. One who placed on India were the luckiest of the day.

Awesome comeback game by Indian Team. Well bowled and well batted. Virat Kohli's century and Dhoni's steady runs helped greatly. Dhoni was playing slow and steadily, but at the end, he pulled him up scoring a half-century. The competition went to a nice position for the final ODI on 18th January. Both the teams will be pumped up and we will get to see a good match.

Yes India played much better in this ODI, it was a well rounded team performance with bowling and batting. Australia looked set to reach 320-340 but the Indian bowlers were able to restrict Australia to 298 thanks to Maxwell and Marsh losing their wickets late in the match, if they were still there in the final over then we would of seen Australia make 320+ but credit goes to the Indian bowlers for the way they bowled in the final 5 overs. Kohli bounced back strong after making just 3 runs in the first ODI which also helped India achieve victory, I thought Australia had a chance once they got Kohli out but Dhoni was able to carry India through to victory. The third and final ODI match is set to be another close encounter with both teams in good form.

India will not let go the match and Australia will have to play very well, if they were to win the match and series. Although India lost in the first match, yet they played good cricket in the 2nd ODI.
Hope it would be another classic thriller between the two rivals.

~snip~

No one should be blamed; this result was well-expected. Asian teams face extreme trouble while playing in South Africa due to deadly pitches of South African cricket stadiums. Pakistani team, even with all the legends in the past (Imran Khan, Jawed Miandad, Waseem Akram, etc), never succeeded in defeating South Africa in a Test-match series in their homeground, so I never expected Pakistan to win this one anyways.

What are you talking about? Are you seriously comparing the current Pakistan team with the legends of the past? Seriously?

Previous Pakistan teams were a million times better than the current Pakistan team due to the experienced and talented cricketers like Akram, Imran Khan, Akhtar etc.

They may have not defeated South Africa in their home grounds in the past, but it was a much better contest than what we are witnessing right now.

Re-read my post. I never compared the current Pakistan team with the legends of the past. You basically repeated what I said in the second part of your post. I'll repeat the same words with a little more clarity for you:

"If Pakistan didn't succeed against SA in their homeground with all the legendary crickets in the past, why should we expect the current much weaker Pakistan team to beat that record?"

Improve your knowledge.

LOL? Improve my knowledge? Maybe you should focus on improving your understanding skills, mate.

very well said

Kohli's captain innings helped India to chase the target and towards the end Dhoni and Karthik contribution made sure that India win this match and equal the series by 1-1. So final one will be a decider and would also be a interesting match

Austraila finish with 298 runs on Board. at one time Indian side was looking for a chase around 320 but Bhuvi took care of Marsh and Maxy duo. who were looking very dangerous still Australia manage to get 90+ runs in last 10 overs. Lycon last ball six over midwicket was like a show stopper. bawlers don't expect such kind of shots from tailenders  Grin

Okay condition for a bat on. Hoping for good chase here. would like to see Sikhar and Ambati Raydu put some score in the top and middle order respectively.

Finally 100+ score from any Australian player in this series. A delight to watch him( Shaun Marsh) score big after bad test series.
Kohli did the job what he always does, lol. And Dhoni also played well today. This is great response from Dhoni after the criticism from last match. India really played too good today. Australian bowler can't impact a little over Indian batsman.
