There is no denying that bitcoin is used by anyone including for criminal transactions such as drugs, illegal weapons, money laundering and so on, this is because in just 10 minutes people can make wallets and can be used for bitcoin transactions.

Yes, it is the mode of payment on dark web, since it is decentralize and untraceable. It is the negative side of bitcoin because the identity of transactors are anonymous.
I think Bitcoin will be used less for this in the future, as Artificial intelligence might find ways to find correlating addresses with people. I think Monero and other anon crypto's might take over that job, leaving bitcoin with a cleaner name. it's true that crime is everywhere and even before bitcoin, now they have just a way to pass through and launder money more easily but for that reason criminals will begin to turn to private crypto
Criminality happens anywhere and anytime. It does not require any currency just to happen. So linking bitcoin with criminality that is happening around us is beyond. Yes, bitcoin maybe used for payment in their activities but not necessarily bitcoin is the root of the increase of criminality. Before bitcoin, there were already criminality that is happening in the world, it just upgraded for some uses bitcoin for their transactions. And social media got so much attention on it.

bitcoin are anonymous thats why criminal take the advantage of it for them to be more anonymous, also many people dont want to involve in bitcoin because they think that bitcoin is just for illegal purpose. Well knowledge criminals and Millennial criminal are using bitcoin as payment for every transaction as it is not detected by government and banks. but still there are more criminals that go to old school as it is cover instant/quick and really money. Small time and Big time criminals are expanding their knowledge so they cope up with the new trend.

Like any other technology, Bitcoin has its advantages and disadvantages depends on how it is being utilized by the public. There are a lot of things that can contribute to the rise of criminality nowadays, like internet, dark net among others. But to tag criminality to Bitcoin because of this disadvantage is just too much. Criminality and illegal activities have been around long before Bitcoin so don't use it as a black propaganda against Bitcoin.

Yes you sir is correct, crimes have been long happening before bitcoin existed. Yes we know that bitcoin has been used for crime before and still being used right now but that doesn't mean it is bitcoins fault. How come you say that because of bitcoin the crime rate is increasing? even though bitcoin transaction is anonymous but still the online site needs KYC for security purpose, and you know that all things about money is hot even the real currency so we should not be particular on pointing bitcoin as the one escalating the crime rate. Maybe thats true that some countries believe on that reason. Because thats how the world is balance sometimes can do a good to those people who are jobless and not to do bad things or criminality but some times it can also be reason for them to continue their bad habbit. Because i think they are some people who used to be a Bitcoiner and they are not using their earnings on Good instead they using it on bad things like drugs or Buy anything like Guns that can pushes their limit to do more crimes and that is the reason why because Bitcoin having a bad reputation in every part of this world. Bitcoin haters are claming that bitcoin is linked to criminality but this is not true for me. Criminality is linked with everything. Not only bitcoin, let's say.
I think everybody knows already that Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency which means that there is no government involve in it. In addition of being decentralized, transactions made in the blockchain are also completely anonymous since you only have these cryptographic addresses in the whole process. So bitcoin is indeed a perfect tool for criminals to commit crimes because they can easily hide from authorities since their identities are concealed and the transactions are completely anonymous.
