When losing a good gambler won't blame the surrounding, cursing or accusing the casino as fraud places, losing is the half part of gambling, if you can't accept lost then dont start to gamble

We must encourage people to become a good gambler, so people won't always have a bad judgement about gambler

this is the hardest part for gamblers, I also feel it. from other criteria, it may be that some of the gamblers may learn it, but for this one point it is very difficult.

this is a must to learn from gambling, I think this is the basis on which we can become a pro player in gambling, because all knowledge about gambling will always we learn as long as we still do gambling. hopefully we all fall into the category of pro gamblers

All you need is to be regardless of any strategy and should apply your knowledge to the game which is known to you and you are the expert of game then you should play that game.

On the other hand if you are not an expert player then you should not bet on it and should enrich your knowledge with the chosen game, after getting knowledge you should start with low bets and then after gaining momentum you may start with normal or even high bets.

I think a person should gamble if he is having extra money than his needs because in gambling we are not sure that either we will win or not but there are greater chances of loss of money in gambling. A good gambler must know that when to gamble and when to not (keeping his/her current condition in his/her mind). If someone loses money then I think he should take a break and should quit gambling for sometime rather than investing more and more money in it.

In my opinion the best gambler is one who leaves gambling when he wins a bet because if he continues he will lose his winning again. This is the criteria of a bad gambler. When you back to home with extra money you will be mentally relaxed and happy. If you lose money you will be upset till the next gambling. A good gambler never loses all his money at one time.

Quitting gambling couldn’t become criteria of a good gambler because when he will discontinue gambling, he would no longer remain a gambler and when he would not remain a gambler, than there will be no criteria for him which is for good gamblers which we are talking here. I think the gambler becomes a good gambler when he knows when to stop.

Agree, good gamblers are those who are able to keep from falling into things that can interfere with his life. Those who use little of their money to gamble and no intention to use the money that should be used for other purposes, are those that I think a good gambler.

Yeah, the impression that someone can be good at gambling at any aspect of it is actually a wrong mindset to have. The only way to be good at gambling is to know that you can never be good at it as there is nothing to be good at. But practically no gamblers get chances to know those things.

It is not a skill that one gets good at, it is a game of luck and the more most of the gamblers who are just stuck with the mentality of winning started getting this, the better for them to either stay away from gambling or gamble with an extreme caution of not losing their minds.

It is like thinking of a group of murderers and then assessing which one of them is efficient of them and which one has good skills and which one is better among others. Dude, listen, and grow up. You all must know that when the base is made up of evil, how you can expect of building of virtue over that base. When gambling is harmful for everyone then it is all in vain to check for criteria of good gambler.

These factors that you have mentioned here can play the role in making the criteria of a good gambler but for me the criteria of good gambler means that he should know when he has to stop or leave gambling for good. When he would come to know this thing, I bet he can easily become a good gambler because in that way he has to face no big losses like other people in gambling.

It doesn't depends on which game you are playing,it just depends on how he is playing like control manner and limits while betting .Yes you are little bit right most of the players will lose money in the long term but it doesn't mean everyone if you got enough lucky then you will probably will as much as bets but it is highly impossible that will happen.
But gambling doesn't for money making which was created for the fun if you missing it then you are nit a good gambler too.

I feel sometimes luck is over rated which is why some people think they can even have the positive mindset and channel luck towards them. It may work for some, but in the long term and when it comes to gambling, I have never seen someone who really did not get hit at some point.

Such mindset allow people to get the wrong picture and behave in a manner that totally screw them up entirely until they realize how hard it is getting out from the addiction they have placed themselves in.

Maybe in the games of poker where you may be a bit good at with some little bit of luck but the pure game of luck, like dice, plinko and some even other worst ones, you are not even supposed to be winning anything as the house edge will always take all the profit eventually and all those gullible and irresponsible gamblers who think gambling is the way for them to end up prosperous in life will only end up giving the owners more while they end up screwing up their own life.

Treatment is difficult at later stages but it is not impossible. I know a lot of people who were addicted to gambling badly but they recovered and are leading a very good life now. As per my personal experience, the only way to avoid that stage is to keep yourself busy in other activities that are more important for your survival.

Gambling is a very bad addiction and that the ones who are used to it invest all their money even if they make that investment in installments. They cannot stop themselves from gambling until and unless all their money is wasted in gambling as they are very much fond of doing so and that they keep on going for the ways using which they can get more money so that they can gamble even if this results in loss.

Gambling actually becomes an addiction for those who allow it to become an addiction for them. Although maybe no gambler in the world fits the criteria stated in the OP, it is still a decent list, like you said. I take that list, as well as some decent additions in this thread, as something every gambler should strive to follow.

When we gamble, of course sometimes we do chase profit, the question is how often do we act like that? And sometimes we lose control and don't know when to stop, but when while gambling we reminisce the list from the OP, it might be very helpful.
