OP I think your criteria are more "Ideal Gambler" points, as I've yet to see a gambler fit all of these at once. I also tend to look at gambling as somewhat of a vice and definitely not a money making mechanism or even a hobby. Kind of like smoking and drinking. People need to do it responsibly if they do it at all and realize that there is always a risk of creeping into that territory of problem gambling. After that's reached, you can kiss money management and family life goodbye.
Still it's a decent list.
Although maybe no gambler in the world fits the criteria stated in the OP, it is still a decent list, like you said. I take that list, as well as some decent additions in this thread, as something every gambler should strive to follow.
When we gamble, of course sometimes we do chase profit, the question is how often do we act like that? And sometimes we lose control and don't know when to stop, but when while gambling we reminisce the list from the OP, it might be very helpful.
