Meh, we'll just have to wait a couple of more weeks to see it stabilize over 500 usd again.

No. The exchange rate hit $164 for a few seconds in BTC-E, a few weeks ago, after a massive dump (of around 10K coins). Those who had placed their buy orders for $180 and $200 were seen praising their luck. After that incident, I also placed at least 10 different buy orders in the range of $150 to $250. Didn't had any luck yet.
Why would someone dump that many bitcoin at the same time in just one exchange?
Trying to recover a bit after going down ~50$ in last 12hours..! can't say but i think we might see 500$ again by then end of the month or it might go down to 400$

I wonder how their code handle this fluctuation and still find optimal match. Do they try matching in LIFO mode ?
