Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable in the future
Though have been in the crypto space for quite some time now, I knew little about crypto. A friend of mine just introduced me to real estate investment.
Which one should I go for with a capital less than $2500?
It all depends on your future goals.  Investing in Real Estate is guaranteed to provide profits, because every year there will definitely be an increase in prices, but it cannot provide profits that can double, the risks are not too big, it only requires maintenance.  However, investing in crypto clearly has huge risks, you can lose in an instant or even make a profit when the market price rises sharply.  I think you can do both if you have enough capital

Know that real estate investment requires a huge amount of capital, so starting with that little amount might not be a wise move. But if you are trying to acquire just a small property, then that’s fine enough. Anyway, its value will also appreciate in time so you’ll definitely reap a decent gain.

However, same thing with bitcoin, its value never settle with a low price but it always ends up an expensive amount, the only difference is that you can acquire bitcoin even with a very small amount and just grow your investment through applying DCA. If you do that consistently, you will have a huge sum of bitcoin that is equivalent to a very large property.

You don’t have to chose actually but investing in both will create a great advantage in the future. Just do it gradually, one step at a time and you will end up having a vast investment in time.

If they are an expert then I think they are also financially capable to invest on something that is expensive like real estate. And why will they try to be an expert on a certain thing, if in the end they still can't get a piece of it? That doesn't make any sense.

But, if they don't have a capital, they can still be able to use their knowledge to mentor other people and demand them a payment. That is one of the ways for them to avail the thing that they love. If let say I am only an expert in real estate, why will I invest in crypto? That's risky. But if I want to, I will first study them. That makes me an even better person later on because I now have more knowledge and investment, which can also result for more money.
More specifically maybe we should say if the person has greater wealth then surely real estate will be the biggest reference as the first choice Cheesy
Because in the end we know that real estate is not a business that can be done by just anyone. It's not that crypto isn't for the rich but in the end when talking about the comparison of crypto and real estate it's very visible because crypto can be done by anyone even with an income of $200-$300 even smaller can be there but that can't happen for real estate because the class is different.

Not that in this case I am saying that real estate is better compared to crypto but at the end of the day when talking about class and Investment then indeed not everyone can be in real estate and we are definitely aware of that.

its not easy to rent out a house or room these days though. when the economy is as bad as these days, the real estate business can be a problem. more people with no jobs couldn't afford to pay rent and some of them prefer to just live on the streets with tents.

I guess it all depends on your target market. That's true, if your target market is young families or ordinary people who don't have a place to live. However, if your target market is students or workers, then this business will still be in demand and profitable.

But on my part, the property business is not very interesting. I tend to think more about worthwhile strategies in crypto than in real estate, but both also have potential worth exploiting. This all depends on interests, so of course there will be those who fall in love with one of them or both at once.

buying strategic locations in the city though might be a good idea for the next business. properties today are cheaper than pre-pandemic. still will need a long wait for you when there is crypto bull market coming.

That's a good idea, but imagine how much money we have to prepare to carry out that idea. Someone might make a 2x or 3x profit in 2 years in bitcoin at $42k today, but in real estate it's very difficult.

Real Estate seems like it is something major, it requires a lot more money, plus it depends on what kind of investment you want to make as well. There are people who just buy houses and hold them (rent them) and sell many years later or not even sell them, and there are people who buy terrible condition houses fix them and then sell them later, or there are people who buy lands and build houses there and sell them. Real estate is not just one thing, so we can't really compare. Plus, crypto is not similar neither, I mean investing into bitcoin for long term in a DCA method, and trading margin or leverage for a high income is not the same. So we need more specifics about this case to be able to compare.

I think we've covered something like this in the past, and I think a lot of series are about the same topic too, but maybe looking at new perspectives and other things that can freshen up the point of view.

However, for me, the answer is still the one that can be relied on most in the industry for each person, it depends on the person's ability and understanding. If someone is an expert in one of the fields, of course that field can definitely be relied on to earn more money, especially if they have expertise. in these 3 fields at once, I think I will easily achieve very good wealth in the future.
Expertise plays a factor, but the most important should be the amount of money at the disposal of the investor, as a person that has a small amount of money to invest cannot really afford to invest in real estate, even if they were an expert on the topic as real estate requires a massive amount of capital.

So for the investor that is trying to pick one of those markets to invest, they may not have any other option but to try their luck on this market due to the small size of their capital.

Personally, I find both of these areas trustworthy. The point is that you must clearly understand your type of investment and the time to start is also very important. Crypto is more flexible in terms of investment capital, while real estate is the opposite in terms of large capital resources, even requiring mortgage to borrow from banks. The economy is going into recession in 2023 and may last until 2024, so arranging issues to choose capital sources and types of investment is important. I prefer investing in cryptocurrencies for this reason.
indeed the capital required should be the number one concern with real estate investment, not to mention that the investment time frame would be longer than cryptocurrency by some significant margin. if im being honest, its not suitable for anyone that doesn't want slow profit despite all the risk, its only suited for those with big capital that have no idea what to do with their money and therefore just trying to allocate it into something like real estate where it gonna retain value if not keep on increasing but for majority of us anyway with the miniscule amount of capital that we are having of course real estate is definitely out of option. even worst is that if we are buying the real estate with loan and need to pay mortage, even depending on income from rent is not so dependable if there's hardly anyone that rents since usually the property that get rented a lot also quite expensive in prices.
cryptocurrency is most suitable for most of us because the gain alone is already massive also to mention the fact that the investing time is significantly lower than real estate, basically the reason why cryptocurerncy could become so popular like what it is today.
We do know that real estate business or investment would never come cheap. If you do really want to have that kind of business or investment then you should really be needing to have that capital.

This is why people would really be that going for alternatives or something cheaper and this is why they would really be going for crypto investment on which it could bring out profits
in short time if you have done the right thing and a little bit mix of luck on choosing those projects. Outcome would really be neither be positive or negative on which the risks is way more higher comparing
into real estate business on which it would really be that understandable. There are really just those people who are really that rushing up on making money and this is why they
are really that prone when it comes to decisions.

They would really be making themselves desperate and this is why they cant think up well into the things on which supposed to be done carefully.
It is really just that there are those people who are really that wise when it comes to investment decisions.

When we talk of investment, there'll be risk. With cryptocurrency we can't be precise of the time period to book our profit whereas with real estate the market used to be on an average level based on the property. This makes real estate better than cryptocurrency for people who had used to it. For people who had well used the cryptocurrencies create the mentality to hold a enjoy profit. Maybe it takes time, but the profit used to be much higher than that of the real estate.
For many of us who came from a generation of people who owned lands and were into real estate before crypto currency emerged, real estate is still a preferred choice of investment as compared to BTC or cryptocurrency.

Still I would prefer a more dependable asset that has the potential of tripling in value in a decade or less, and Real estate measures up to the standard before I even begin to consider crypto currency mostly BTC.

Anyone who is making huge investment in BTC right now understands the market more and have an already mapped out plan on the best possible way to make profit from such investment. It could be trade, that is simple buying or selling or simply DCA or a clear diversification of portfolio.

A friend of yours just introduced you to real estate investment? Have you been blind to the world around you for your whole life up until this point, as you've been either living in a rental property or somebody has been paying a mortgage to keep a roof over your head. You need to describe where in the world you are, because $2,500 will barely buy you a cardboard box to setup on a sidewalk in San Francisco, but could potentially give you a plot of land and a hut in somewhere like Kenya. You're not realistically going to get very far with $2.5k in most developed countries, it wouldn't even cover the lawyer fees and paperwork required at the mortgage stage. Your best bet would be to look into REIT stocks if you went that route, or buy bank shares that give out a lot of mortgages.

In studying both, you must be able to master the characteristics of each investment, whether crypto or real estate. because in both cases there are quite a few who fail to carry it out. I will give an example for real estate, people buy housing to rent out, but instead they lose because it turns out the house is damaged and the repairs exceed what they get, the same is true for cryptocurrency, where many fail because of greed or panic about the market.
You are right, everyone must have the knowledge to know the characteristics of investment in crypto and real estate before they invest in two investments that have different management, because without knowledge they will experience losses that they are not aware of because they cannot manage crypto and real estate investments.

I like what you've said and classified both for their own weakness and strength. While crypto is for everyone that doesn't have much capital, you can always invest on this market 24/7.

And for the real estate, it's going to require you lots of money and even not might be enough to acquire the property you're going to buy and will need to get into mortgaging.

That's fine, as both of these are depending to the investor. When you make profit from cryptocurrencies, most investors are going to diversify that money to real estate.

Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable in the future
Though have been in the crypto space for quite some time now, I knew little about crypto. A friend of mine just introduced me to real estate investment.
Which one should I go for with a capital less than $2500?

The quick answer in my opinion is real estate investment, for sure we are all a fan of cryptocurrency that is why we are all in this forum, It is really a great investment and a great technology for sure but when it comes to being dependable in my opinion the end game was always real estates. I mean I'm investing in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin as well like a lot, it wasn't for sure recommended to invest that kind amount of money on it but I want to invest in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, but in the end, I'm just doing it to earn a profit with the end game of buying a real estate or a property where I could probably earn a passive income or maybe a property that I can buy as my own.

The quick answer is real estate is surely gonna give you a great passive income guarantee unless some problem that we dont know happened, where Bitcoin is like an investment that is great but as well as we dont know it is it surely gonna gives us profit in the end like at any moment the market could easily drop with just a short time because of its volatile market price with just one bad news. Also, we dont know if it's even going to exist after a few years, unlike real estate where we have something fungible asset.

I think you should invest in Bitcoin or buy Gold or silver with the amount of money you have.
In some countries where $2500 is a huge sum of money in their local currency, I think you could go for a real estate investment if you are a citizen.
In my place that amount of money can be used for anything, but if the owner really wants to invest that amount of money it can also be done in two different parts as you suggest. Namely buying Gold and Bitcoin at a rate set by the owner of the money himself, because that amount is quite large in my area so it is very possible to do both at the same time.

Quote
Both investment carries risks as well as benefits. In crypto investment risk is higher, and so does the profit/ ROI. In real estate, the risk is comparatively lower, but the ROI is not the same compared to crypto. You should have a mix of both in your portfolio, along with some gold and silver.
My advice is to choose both if the person or OP really understands crypto and real estate, because in crypto there is Bitcoin which can be relied on and in real estate there is also gold and silver which can be relied on by everyone for long-term investment purposes. So these two things are very good choices without having to be afraid of the risks because the returns are also quite appropriate for the time we use to invest in these two parts using the stated capital.

Real estate can generate a consistent flow of revenue if you have enough money for investment and hire a professional in this field who will advise you about your investment. The capital you are talking about won't be sufficient enough to sustain a good revenue from real estate. In terms of dependency real estate should be the first choice but it depends on your investment funds actually. If you don't have enough then invest in crypto so that you might make a fortune in here.

Please note that cryptocurrency investment is very risky and you could lose your money but If I had for instance $2500 as a spare cash, I'd use all of it to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin is currently at $45k, with the FOMO about spot bitcoin ETF listing and Bitcoin having that happening very soon, the market will soon go bullish. I'd sell if it gets to my target price of $120k - $130k, this would give me more that twice of my investment. I'd invest half of the money in real estate and still have another half to buy Bitcoin during the bear season.
