For what it's worth, I don't think dank borrowed funds intending not to repay them.  I just think he made the mistake which many teenagers (including my own) have made of assuming that financial independence is easy (it isn't, even when you have a stable source of income, let alone when you don't) and basing his budget on unrealistic "best-case" scenarios.

Yeah it reminds me of the same thing a lot of kids do with their first credit card.

A hundred dollar visa gift card and a hundred dollar lowes gift card will buy me lots of bitcoins.

(re: me calling him out on his bullshit about not covering his current 52+BTC defaulted loan)

The fact that he was first relying on a friend selling their car/Rolex in order to pay his rent and is now relying on selling Christmas/birthday presents to pay squall suggests that dank's parents aren't aware their precious snowflake has dug himself into a financial hole (otherwise, why didn't he ask for money instead of gift cards for presents or ask them to pay what he owed instead of giving him gifts for Christmas/his birthday).  God knows what other real world debts he's managed to run up during his experiment with "independence".

And how does he figure that $200 worth of giftcards is going to buy him "lot" of Bitcoins?  Even if he can get face value for the cards (which he hasn't advertised for sale in Marketplace), it's still only going to buy him less than a third of the BTC he still owes squall (who's honestly one of the kindest, most patient lenders out there when it comes to giving people a break and has already gone above and beyond by ceasing to charge interest on the outstanding balance).

Dank is such a typical sucker, intentionally putting himself in debt to buy dumb shit he doesn't need. Using his christmas gifts to pay off his payday loans, and it's not even enough. I know he'll pop in to say he already has some of it, but we all know he's full of it, because he already made a partial payment which was probably all he had left after blowing it all on weed and funyuns.

At least this is a kinder lesson than a credit card would be. If he learns it. Also just wanted to repost this from a long time ago in the beginning of this thread since it's funny, this thread is boring now, and will probably die soon as Dank is forgotten. Until his birthday when he comes back to pay off the loan with his birthday gifts.

Did I say it did?  It doesn't make me a high risk either.  Trust me when I say I will not default on my investors, or not, but don't make claims that I'm at high risk of defaulting based off nothing.

Dank Bank defaulting would mean one of two things happens; I make the egocentric decision to steal everyone's money, which won't happen because I wouldn't allow (nor want) myself to do that.  Or I default by losing all of my money and everything I have built so far this year, which won't happen because I wouldn't let myself make decisions to put me in that situation.

It's really not that complicated, Dank Bank defaulting is bad business for me, so why would I let that happen?  I'm on track to reach my goals now, I have a plan, it's been working out fine, so why would I change what I have going for me?

Nobody wants to default. Just plugging your ears and saying "It can't happen because I won't let it", is naive and shows you have no idea what you're doing. Good entrepreneurs can identify their strengths and weaknesses and use it to their advantage, not just ignore and plunge ahead taking money from anyone who's dumb to give it to you with promises of totally being a millionaire and a rock star. Showing people you are aware of potential problems and have a backup plan is going to get you much more confidence in your abilities than "Can't happen won't let it".

Your family doesn't understand you and won't loan you money, your friends won't loan you money (how"rich" they are shouldn't matter since your stated minimum deposit is ~100 bucks), and you have very minimal success on an anonymous basis on an internet forum. There's one constant among all these situations, you. Might want to evaluate that while you're still young.
You don't understand that my plan is full of back up plans, which is what makes it so good.  That's why a default will not happen.  You also fail to realize the power of belief.  I believe I will become a globally known musician, so it will happen.

My friends would definitely loan me money, however, they don't have money to loan.  I've completed over two dozen transactions, I wouldn't call that minimum success, Dank Bank is still running strong, is it not?

So is dank going to kill off the character, pinkie pie style?  Or is he just going to just lurk in the darkness untill we all get bored?

Well since he seems to be pussy footing around the forum, and PM'ing me for whatever fucking reason, this:

A hundred dollar visa gift card and a hundred dollar lowes gift card will buy me lots of bitcoins.

You're a bit late I'm afraid - the show's already over.

I think Dank's probably just having a hard time getting online from DankFest.  Apparently it was much more successful that he anticipated and consequently the cellphone coverage he put in place was woefully inadequate.

He seems to have no trouble getting accessing the forums.  He was online 40 minutes ago.

Maybe I should release the phone number he gave me, for what ever fucking reason. Has the loan been paid?

Have you repaid squall yet, dank?

Not fully, 23 paid 52 outstanding, He has not been home for a few days to send.

Dank default.

Dad will bail him out, again. On the one hand I admire squall for offering basically a month's extension at no cost, but on the other I hope this latest repayment delay (without apparent interest) will be noted next time dank asks for cash. This isn't the first time it happens.

So he's not paying interest for any of the loan period despite the original agreement being 2% weekly for 2 months?

He has paid the intrest in full eack week of the deposit agreement, I am just awaiting the deposit return.
