I've not had any trouble with the tp-link plug, I had it running some different miners for a few months with no issues. It's handy to be able to keep track of the power.

I can't seem to connect via ssh, I just get

connect to host 192.168.1.118 port 22: Connection refused

any advise? Can you set these back to default settings? All the firmware links seem to only be applicable to writing USB pens, and not to a micro sd card.

Unfortunately Z1 Pro firmware doesn't support SSH at all.

Anybody know of a smart plug that can be used with this asic for 240v?  This way it can be turned on and off remotely.
I use Broadlink SP3S with powermeter. Very usefull smart plug - https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/32826371447.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.18d92b14R0YCod&algo_pvid=e676708f-6ab5-4bad-82c2-de54d680f97a&algo_expid=e676708f-6ab5-4bad-82c2-de54d680f97a-9&btsid=9fb768a3-acc4-484c-a289-7467e4b58234&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_7,searchweb201603_52 . Monitoring current power usage and can calculate every day-week-month-year with 2 time zone. I use night and day zones for my local electricity costs calculation.

Hello All i have same problem with 0 RPM but i have ZIG Z1 PRO is possible made firmware with chance to disable fan check Huh
Thank you
I can advise you use NE555 schematic for cheating the Z1 Pro firmware. I use it and use big and quiet canal fan for cooling. Schematic very simple like this - https://forum.bits.media/index.php?/topic/86018-antminer-z9-mini/&do=findComment&comment=1603612 and canal fan Binetti FDS-150 - https://bt.rozetka.com.ua/benetti_fds_150/p32889159/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInMamm4r35QIViOAYCh2tBgJeEAQYASABEgKhU_D_BwE . Also i use another one little schematic to control FDS-150 speed like this - https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/4000141348880.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.695a2d24nTBdO9&algo_pvid=b93d3086-5645-469d-9f26-d632b7219b18&algo_expid=b93d3086-5645-469d-9f26-d632b7219b18-54&btsid=979f8bbd-1b54-4b3c-9d14-b19c1125fe74&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_7,searchweb201603_52 and already ordered Wi-Fi dimmer for that fan. When i get it i will control fan speed remotely - https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/4000060437817.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5afb33ed6unt1Q . As for me i use speed lower then a half.

Anybody know of a smart plug that can be used with this asic for 240v?  This way it can be turned on and off remotely.

I'm using

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/smart-plug/hs110/

Is that European?  I am in the US.  I have the plug with two horizontal prongs

i thought on that plug too, but i retracted because of some reviews in amazon.
is not recommended to use it as it is not for industrial application, could cause fire in time.

my ASIC is with 220v and melt 1 of my common adapter, then i changed the AC cable and all good to go. so imagine what could happen with that plug, let us know if something happens.

Does anyone know how to control the fan speed as they're always running at max.

I can see in Auto Stop Miner there are 3 settings which I assume are fan speed related, but I can't work out what they do, or what to set them as.
Lower Fanspeed(in):
Lower Fanspeed(out):
Higher Core Temperature:

Hello Smiley .I want to ask something .I found a strange problem with time on Z1 and Z1 pro but maybe affects all Z1 machines.I mean at last days i have stale shares so i investigated the problem and i found something strange.
So first lets take a look on my logs. This is log from XVG mining:
[2019-11-08 10:34:32] New block: c0c21ffd92f66bda8bb09c1fed0b24e14e00a682d89f336237a61135fb817379... diff 106K
[2019-11-08 10:34:32] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
[2019-11-08 10:34:32] Send work to asic
[2019-11-08 10:34:34] Accepted 2a4f6ace Diff 6/1000 lyra2rev2 0 pool 0
.......
[2019-11-08 10:35:11] Network diff set to 99.1K
[2019-11-08 10:35:11] New block: dcb87fbf5b8aa22c42219bd673a6c8debdba97fddc46373f893e81865fd46f61... diff 99.1K
---------------
But as we can see on block explorer https://prohashing.com/explorer/Verge/ this block dcb87fbf5b8aa22c42219bd673a6c8debdba97fddc46373f893e81865fd46f61 is not generated at [2019-11-08 10:35:11] but much earlier .So i received (as new job) with huge delay.
But i will be more specific. As you can see , the correct time of dcb87fbf5b8aa22c42219bd673a6c8debdba97fddc46373f893e81865fd46f61 which appear also on explorer, is the same time of previous block c0c21ffd92f66bda8bb09c1fed0b24e14e00a682d89f336237a61135fb817379 [2019-11-08 10:34:32]  ! But i received it around 40 seconds later according the logs.So many times i see stale shares on my logs.
Please can you check your log of your machine and compare it with result of explorer which showing the real time of generated blocks?Let me know here your results.
If you also have this huge delay, then for sure you have stale shares and lower profit .And i dont know why this strange problem is happening.Thanks.

Is it normal for this hash to go down to zero and back up again then every so often or should it remain consistent?

it depends in which pool you are mining, also the temperature it has the ASIC

if you mine in nicehash, you will get constant "equal" hash because you are selling it.
if you mine in other pools, then the hash will throttle less or high depending in which pool.
it throttle when it's mining another coin (when changing to another coin) also it depends of the difficulty at the moment.

the ASIC has a temperature protection, so if reach at a certain number, then will reboot.

Hello guys do you have custom firmware for Z1 Pro? I see only Z1 and Z1+ custom are available so does it exist (custom firmware for Z1 Pro) or not? Thanks a lot.

Clueless!
The website:
www.dayunmining.com
is scam
I buy 5 pcs and not send Zig Z1+

what is the legit site?

brad

www.dayunmining.com is fake website .
Maybe u can try www.akminer and we are still selling some Z1 pro and akminer approved by moderator .

well...looks like they are both a scam..nice try though newbie!

The payout makes no sense for any of these units anyway, much like all ASIC's of any flavor at this time. Due to current low BTC/Crypto prices and difficulty

rising fast as hell, and of course the increase (by 1/3 my estimation) in pricing, since June 2019, on all ASIC miners of any flavor. Anyway, none of these Dayun Zig Z1's are available

anyway from what I can tell. Not the above links that are for sure (scammer links)

later Smiley

Tbh it's been pretty hard to get them looked at as the hosting facility is pretty busy at the moment. I've asked for my pool to be switched to MRR so I can test my luck on some other pools when the hash isn't being rented.
...

Let them install our non-SSH hub (check this video) for you so you can manage them by yourself.
Also MRR is supported so you could use both.

...
the only hash rental that i know is nicehash.
...

MRR is Mining Rig Rentals.

yea i saw that before, not really sure how it works. i thought on your software too.

i don't get it.... 5 ASICs are renting the hash or are mining on some specific pool???
if you are using pools to mine, let me know which, so i can help to make those comparison.

the only hash rental that i know is nicehash.

no idea what firmware is that one from cryptominerbros, unfortunately i don't remember from where i got it. my current version is 20190706

I've got 5 hosted. I know 2 of the ASICs have 2 hashboards not functioning, I know one is fine and I'm not sure about the other two.

I'm happy to try a pool comparison when they switch my pool over to MRR.

Is the latest firmware you mention the one I posted a link to?

I have several Zig Z1 pros hosted and they're nothing but a pain, with them randomly stopping and starting, and the hashrate being all over the place but averaging to be much lower than 13GHs.

Has anyone tried the updated firmware here and could let me know if it helps at all
https://www.cryptominerbros.com/solve-problem-zig-z1-pro-fix-dayun-zig-z1-pro-firmware-upgrade-firmware-update/

I'm using nicehash, do people find things to be more stable on other pools.

how many Zig Z1 Pro you have hosted and do you have full control?
mine is updated with the last firmware and runs very stable with nicehash, but will never reach to 13ghs with all boards (11.5ghs is the average)

see my other post, i've been mining in some pools without problems. unstable hash is normal due to the difficulty in that moment of the coin.

if you agree, we can mine at the same moment and make a pool comparison to see which one pays better. i'm looking for candidates to do this and i will not be controlling your ASIC.

Tell me, please, bought Z1 pro, the hashrate jumps from 0-25, the hash board does not work periodically, it turns off

be more specific about your problem.
unstable hash is normal
