GRMPF! First LTC (elsewhere) now BTC at DeepBit  Undecided

BTW, aren't p2p-pools more resilient?

This DDOS attack is brutal. My Miners are spending about 30% of their time trying to connect.  I can hear the fans speed up then slow down, speed up then slow down again. Been like this all day.

Side Question. if a fan set to 100% speeds up after a miner disconnects is that a sign of a power shortage? Why would a fan already set to 100% speed up in such a way?

COINDER

UPDATE: Work in progress, you may see some SSL Certificate warnings in your browser.

Indeed.  In Firefox 17:

"SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)"

Same DDoS with Btcguild going on... Huh

Hello! I'm back. RIP Hal <3
I got disconnected from pit.deeptbit.net as well, failover didn't kick in. I restarted cgminer and pit.deeptbit.net is now connected and hashing.

Must be a big DOS. I usually never get knocked off pit.deepbit.net and I am on backup pool now.

What was the better host name?
Hm... It's mentioned in all the examples on the site and this topic.

Actually there is only one hostname for mining.
Yes, the default one may be fixed, but it's less optimal.

No problem, maybe make a post here when its back up & ready for connections, so I can go about getting things up again on my side if possible? That'd be great.
Sure.

By the way, backup pool option in some miners is really great for situations like this.
I refuse to mine anywhere other than deepbit, cuz deepbit is my friend  Cheesy

Update: looks like miners just reconnected. Awesome Cheesy

So should the pool be up currently under the normal address and such or what should it resolve to? Flushed my dns, still having issues connecting.
No, it may be unreachable at this moment.
Sorry, but currently nothing can be done to fix the issue. This DDoS is quite severe.

Lost connections to all my miners just a few mins ago as well.
