Even commercial business is getting into the act. So don't expect it to just die with a wimper in the near future.

I have been looking at Rimbit instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. If it disappears it'll likely just be because of a lot of unlucky events having occurred before it, and so far none of those events have occurred, just a few minor setbacks with some exchanges getting hacked and so. Bitcoin is still alive and well based on what I can see within the market, and it should stay that way for a fairly long time still.

Something in the world it will surely die. But the death of the death of human beings with different men. Human creation will surely experience a death if there is a human creation and is superior to the previous creations, so future bitcoin will be lost and replaced with the latest technology. It's the same as with any other currency in the world.
American dollar will never die, also Japanese or Chinese currency etc
Of course it's always possible that some other virtual currency will replace bitcoin and become more popular but still Bitcoin will not die, always some people will use it, even just for trading purpose.

Not a single bitcoin user would think about bitcoin dying very soon. That's a pretty support answer. As long as bitcoin stays number at one position in both virtual use and in real life too, then we never need to worry about dying very soon. There is a myth like this universe will die due to collapse of Sun. That may be the end point for bitcoin too.
