@tytanick

-also those biostar boards that have that stupid bug where they only power on half way unless a monitor is plugged in, do those work with the resetter or does a monitor need to be plugged in or a dummy plug?
two of those are my problem rigs I was going to hook up with the resetter but i suspect they will do the normal thing as when headless, power on but wont go past the bios or whatever since no monitor is plugged in.
With those rigs when they go down i have to plug in a monitor and then reset , its anoying as fuck.

-20 or 30 min watchdog would be ideal

- and yes i do undervolt as much as i can of course all my cards are undervolted from -70 - -100 on the ones that can take it, core clocks turned down too. I  have 47 rigs now around 5.5 GHZ of eth and anther 40k of dcr so
i need each and every one of those rigs , i cant downsize my boxes.

my main issue with windows and using the watchdog is when updates start installing keep alive would be far longer than the 3-4 mins and of course the box will go into a long loop thus i cant use the watchdog.

OK, first of all, turn off those stupid windows updates Cheesy
They can only cause trouble than fixins something Smiley
So turn them off.
Second, in next Firmware release when SRRv2 and Extension Boards will come, there will be possibility to set longer period of watchdog timeout.
Right now its 255 Seconds and if in that time rigs wont send any keepallive packets then it will be restarted.
But after upgrade it will be 2550 seconds Smiley (x10) and this will be ideal for you, so for example you should set i dont know 10 or 20 minutes and only then watchdog will reboot windows.
Anyway, my SMOS (Simplemining Operating System) isnt ideal but people likes it. There is many more things to be done but it is usable as people are saying Tongue
Also if you didnt, do some undervolting, that way you will be able to plugin more rigs Tongue But you propably know that Smiley

UPDATE:
I have fresh batch odf SSRv1 and i will release then today/tomorrow in shop.
So keep updated Smiley I will also add more informations about SSRv2 and Extension boards to show people differences and to let poeple choose if they should wait for SSRv2 or buy SSRv1 right now.
The changes are cosmetic and its the same hardware. Only slots (connectors) changed and the rest stays the same becasue it it solid nice board Smiley

There is also firware development in progress but i will release it with SSRv2, and ofcourse it will work with SSRv1.

I posted in smOS thread, and doing the same in this SRR thread to thank Tytanick for his smOS and SRR.

Today is a big day for me because, just completed SRR for all my rigs, housekeeping of rom mods for all rigs, standardized all USBs/SSDs, upgraded my old hubs to gigabit switches, cleanup the network cabling, etc.....  for the past week nearly 100% uptime daily and full speed 45K sol/s total hash for ZEC (3.6GH ETH, 115Khs XMR) - thanks to SRR keeping each rig alive.

I can say, my small farm is almost lights out operation now and I remotely manage the farm from home more often now. More time with family, more sleep time and working comfortably from home.

smOS and SRR are really a good combination and have generated me good income - hope we will see the best mining OS becoming even better with useful features to help miners be successful in mining. This is one of my best investment and ROI.

Also, would like to add a word of thanks to Eliovp for his amazing custom roms for my RX480s, R9-Nanos and Pandaminer.

I have 50 rigs all windows right now i would like to get SMOS working but for now i cant imagine the work it would take to rebuild each rig and put on SMOS kudos to you.

my main issue with windows and using the watchdog is when updates start installing keep alive would be far longer than the 3-4 mins and of course the box will go into a long loop thus i cant use the watchdog.

Right now all im using my SRR module for is replace power cables and so i can remotely turn on and off rigs etc.  I really need to figure out an easy way to get an easy image of SMOS to work on my custom rigs if i plan to purchase any more

SRR units.  Btw I really like them nice clean working easy to use pakage, just need to figoure out a good setup for windows 10 and those damable automatic updates you cant turn off

so far the updates are quite fast and I don't see any looping scenario - perhaps maybe I am using Optiminer v1.7 with full on ZEC mining now. Unlike Claymore, if you have set watchdog - I think no issues too because before migrating to smOS, I was on Claymore ETH mining with -wd and a few more tight settings for intensity etc. and when I do use Claymore ZEC with similar wd and intensity settings -- nothing out of the ordinary in smOS even during upgrades.

I would however suggest to use SSD or HDD for smOS. USB stick is OK but I just feel its faster on SSD especially. I recently upgraded my network environment to Gigabit too. I think that helped too because I do have other traffic too on the same network, ie. CCTV, several live nodes, STORJ instance etc.

My first week with smOS, I kept all my Windows SSDs labeled them for which rig blah blah blah...... 3 months with smOS - I basically zapped all the SSDs with smOS without hesitation and forgotten WIN10 and Win7 (well except for a small dev rig). I have only 33 rigs so I feel the big difference especially with central-management and stability. Also I get to run Linux specific miners like sgminer-gm and Optiminer.

I'm tapped out on power at my house so no more rigs for me , maybe if a rig dies or a PSU and i can afford to bring one rig down i can grab a fresh ssd and try that OS, i'm dumb , i never though of using a brand new fresh ssd and keeping the orginal SSD in case the install goes bad
maybe this weekend I might try it on a test rig.  Thanks

Extension Board has rj45 socket.
So you use ethernet cable, but at the SRR end you will just need to cat rj45 connector off and use privided connector which is easy to make. Everything will be provided and in instruction.
Meaby even i will make some adapter to make this even easier.
Yeah that would be best idea.
On SRRvq there are two GREEN connectors which are just for Extension Boards.
You can plug two EB to those two connetrors.
The each EB also have slot for next EB and so on...
I will make this as easy as possible to clients that bought SRRv1 dont worry .

Quick update (Prototype) Smiley
May i present you our new products that will be available in April Smiley
SimpleRigResetter version 2 (SRRv2) and Extension Board
The only change in SRRv2 is that there will be telephonic sockets for RJ9 cables.
So you will have ability to make specific lenght on your own. To each new resetter there will be added adapter which will give you possibility to connect RJ9 to Motherboard pins Smiley
Last image shows the difference between SSRv1, SSRv2 and Extension Board which can be connected as module to both versions of SRR.

Will you be selling adaptors for the SRRv1 board to work with the extension board?

Hey Tytanick, any idea when the extender boards will be available to ship?

Also, anyone considering this product, just buy it.  It is great and works exactly as it should.  It takes just a few minutes to setup.  I haven't yet messed with the auto reboot part, but the remote reboot works perfectly.  All you do is plug it into your motherboard, setup TeamViewer/VNC/whatever, fire up the Windows app and you can now control your rig from anywhere in the world.  Super easy and works great.
I have little delay, still dont kow exact dates but it would be 1-3 week of April 2017

I have tried all the combinations for the W and Y, still the same = working but LED dont change status.

I will try to do a few more test, including changing SRR units just in case - will revert later.

Ok let me know. Try changing
- motherboard
- cable
- SRR
And you will tell me which one will if failing

It appears to be working (ie. manual power off, reset etc) but the colors don't change and stay in GREEN (ie. it should change from GREEN to RED during reset or power off). However, I can confirm that manual reset/power off/on does work, because the miner seen at the dashboard does reset and reboot.
Then try connecting those LED cabled differently, it must work becasue it is a ISO standard of all motherboards Smiley
White and Yellow cables are for LTD status, try connecting them in other configurations near this position. Those leds only READ voltage from pins so you wont damage anything.

Hi, I am interested in purchasing a SimpleRigResetter, I see on the site shop there are optional power supplies for EU.. I am in US so what do I need?

Also I see there are optional rig cables.. what are these for? Do I need one for each rig? (I'll have 5 rigs for now but may get more in the future)

Will appreciate help, thanks
Here is all described (go little lower on this page)
https://shop.simplemining.net/simplerigresetter.html?___SID=U
You need 8 cables to One SRR. Those cables you will connect to each rig, you can choose lenght.
You will be connecting them to Power LED and Power Button of the rig motherboard.
If you have 5 rigs and in future more, buy 8 cables, its not big expense and you will have for future.
If you will even more rigs there will be Extension Board which can be connected to SRR.
The Extension Board will give you even +24 Rigs but it will be more expensive than Base SRR.

Power Supply, you can select EU power supply + USA Adapter - its no 2 on list.
Also you can not buy this powersupply and instead you can go to your local store and buy there becasue its easy to find.
Specifications of this Power Supply you have also on this site.

The rig is up and connected to SRR (status is green circle).

So I left it alone - since it green and online, and already assigned slot # and rig number at smOS SRR menu.

It should be sending I am alive pings so green circle prooves that.

Citronick so is everythin all right and working with This other motherboard ?
Can you make manual reset from SRR Tool and circle turns red and then green and it accually reboots ?
If yes, please confirm it once again and also can you make photo how you connected it to see what was wrong ?

It appears to be working (ie. manual power off, reset etc) but the colors don't change and stay in GREEN (ie. it should change from GREEN to RED during reset or power off).
