And there is a side bet of $500,000 that Ryan will not make the weight according to the Haney's.

So let's see tomorrow in the weigh-in and then in the actual fight.
If Ryan cannot make the weigh-in it just proves that he is not all that serious about his training and discipline and it validates our concern that he is not ready for that top-level fight with a guy with top-level skill

That's crazy, who would be throwing $500k for a no chance bet. Haney is just wasting money on that bet if that is true, but I highly doubt it is.

Anyway, time flies, this will be the next 2 days and I still think that Ryan is gonna give a good fight with Haney, we will see the unusual like Haney is dictating the fight. Ryan had the seize and length to match Haney, so this should not be a wall in the park for Haney.

I agree, I don't think it make sense for this kind of bet, but who knows, this could be real or another way to promote the fight and see if Ryan can make the actual weight. Not sure what Ryan has that weight vest on him even yesterday. And it probably triggers Devin Haney to speculate that Ryan is still very much off the contractual weight of 140 lbs as there are rumor that he is walking about 147-150 lbs.

So we will see tomorrow, It could be game 7 for this two, but I don't think that the amateur fights can be counted. But good to mention by Oscar, again, Oscar knows who to promote and sell his fights and so he is trying to picture that this fight will decide who will be the face of boxing.

Do not be tricked by this boycott. This is only part of another marketing roadmap that they use to make more people more curious for this fight hehehe. I reckon that after King Ry's loss against Tank Davis, he needed to create a new personality for himself to make the fans react and talk about Ryan. This boycott implies that it is working! I very much wish Ryan will reach the decision and make the fight a split decision. This will certainly make fans question the capability of Devin Haney.

nice catch @bbc.reporter ... that's just certainly a marketing strategy.. why would someone wants it boycotted when it's not even selling well? They just want that fight to gain more attention so the tickets will be sold. This will be happening few days from now, so that could be a desperate marketing strat from their promoters. Anyway, we don't need to wait longer, the outcome of this fight will dictate the future of Ryan, because if he loss, he'll go back again and will try to create another hype until his strategy will not work.

And so with the tickets not selling, Ryan has to go troll Haney again with this kind of words, Lol,

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1780276293021372912

Ryan though, you really don't know what's inside of that mind. There were moments he look serious and everything he says is good. Then majority are like this one, most likely he just want to be controversial and to create more hype because if the news is true that they are not selling tickets, then he has to do something to carry the load and bring it to the masses or at least put some noises again.

Just when you think Ryan Garcia can’t get anymore cringeworthy, he comes out with a dumb statement like this. These guys are only turning fans away from boxing with these antics. The way they are promoting this fight has been disastrous. It is no wonder there are still so many tickets available. Ryan needs to be psychiatrically evaluated before he is allowed to fight for a world championship.
I agree, the more he promoted this fight with his absurd actions, the more fans might not want to see. I even saw those fans online saying that they are going to boycott the fight? Like this,

Although that fan is a troll as well for all I know, it could be true that there could be fans not wanting to buy tickets because of Ryan Garcia's antics. I think they will be evaluated physically and mentally, it's just the question whether he could pass the test or not.

Here is the final press conference of the fight,

Good to see that it is finally going to happen, Oscar says that the tickets is selling so be it. So this is game 7, 3-3 on amateur so obviously, this is going to settle everything and the winner going to be the face of boxing.

The amateur fights have no bearing here, Haney improved a lot on his craft, while I couldn't say the same with Ryan, not the face of boxing but a step to being one, he needs to beat Tank first because Tank has a claim to be the face of boxing.

Ryan's mental health has already gotten worse since the time he tried exposing Hollywood stuff. Although there may be celebrities and fans supporting him. He just looks more derailed. But why boycott?

Now that there are death threats, I actually think the fight will be more brutal, and I would hope there is no early KO because it will just be disappointing.

After all the controversy he exposed, he was just facing a decline dramatically that's because the fans didn't want to support him on whatever he said during his life, I don't know why but he just said some good things right there and he just wants to raise awareness though. I think he wanted to become Muhammad Ali and he is not only a champion but someone that has charisma that people want to listen to as well. After all, he is a boxer, and whatever he wants to be, he needs to establish virtues and merits in boxing first so that he will gain more popularity despite all the hate he gets right now.

He already had the charisma, the looks, like Oscar. But what he lacks in the full commitment in the sports that he excel. Sure as a amateur him and Haney has fight and the score is 3-3. But in the pro it was all different, as Haney work his ass off to become a champion, although there could be critics on his style, but we should give the man the props.

As compare to Ryan who has been carefully hype by Oscar, no belts on his waist, just pure hype in every fight because he knows how to promote and sell and bring fans to watch him. But he become so silly in promoting this fight that the history of his mental capacity is being question again. So it's not good for him, the potential is there, but if doesn't want to go the hard work like any other great boxers, all the hype will be gone.

Evrything is not going Ryan's way leading to the fight he is acting very desperate trying to show to people that he can beat Haney easily just check this article its a compilation of the experts' prediction of the match between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney and based on these predictions Haney overwhelmingly won

Quote
Final Tally: Haney 18-1-1

FIGHT PICKS: DEVIN HANEY VS. RYAN GARCIA

I agree with these predictions based on their style past performance and records, Haney is hands down the winner of this fight, but of course we'll still have to see this happen and its only two days to go.

I think it's not his style of promoting that has been a problem as it he never change, on his fight with Tank Davis, he was already trash talking, so it's not new to him. This is not about the promotion it's about how fans sees this fight will go, because fans believe that Haney would be dictating and will just beat Ryan, there's no interest anymore  as it will just turn out to be a boring one no matter how they hype this fight.

If the odds are 50/50, I might say the tickets will be sold out, but it's not.

^^ Tit-for-tat. Ryan never even reacted to it and seems enjoying every moment of it. So another promotion, and yes to hype as it seems that Ryan has achieved it. Looking at social medias and boxing forum alike, it has been the talk of the town.

Nevertheless, will it translate to the actual fight? That it could either motivate Haney and Garcia to really hate each other and look for a knockout and give the fans a good fight? And there are videos of Haney saying that he is willing to go to war and the older Haney issuing "death threats" to Ryan, LOL. So that's how crazy both of them are promoting this fight and to captivate the boxing audience.

That's the question, will it really translate to the fight? Because Ryan seems like he's giving all the best he can to make a stunt in the social media and try to get the hype keep coming, especially with that deal they made that Ryan will retire if he get knocked down in the first round. Well, that's sounds really interesting to anyone who's a boxing fan and looking to have like an action packed kind of match from round 1 until the 12th, since this might ignite a fire on Haney's end to really knock Ryan down in the first round. However, clearly, Ryan was just making a really really loud noise to redeem himself back after being defeated by Davis and clearly he won't let himself knocked down in the first round. So, I don't expect him to retaliate against Haney who is known to be a defensive fighter and a bit picky with his shots.

And Haney got his revenge,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HzBqdKmXuY

Before it was Ryan Garcia who smuck Haney in their first encounter, and now that the fight is official, they have this face off at Empire State and then this happens. You can see the face of Oscar though, concerned about what happened but Garcia just shrug it off and just love the animosity between them.

The winner of this encounter is the person who did not make the first push. It was was certainly Ryan Garcia because he did not get angry and he manipulated to make Haney angry. However, we can also be quite certain that it will be different in the boxing ring hehehe. I wish Derrick James trained King Ry to have a chance. I do not want a fight that is something similar to the scam Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia.

Officials should see to it that no untoward incident happens, heading to the date of the match, there's a possibility of a brawl because both fighters hate each other, the worst that could happen is one gets hurt and the match canceled and rescheduled, nobody wants this to happen we have been excited in discussing this match for months and we don't want to end in cancellation, this match is four years in the making.
This is where it all started

Ryan Garcia & Devin Haney Face-Off, Exchange Words Ahead of Potential Fight

I don't even think they both hate each other.  I think Devin Haney is disappointed that the promotion leading up to his fight is basically just Ryan Garcia displaying mental illness on social media for clicks.  I'm sure this isn't what Devin was expecting when he agreed to this fight and was hoping for some more typical promotion.  Meanwhile it seems like Ryan Garcia realizes that his career has taken a nose dive and if he doesn't do something spectacular for attention, he'd just drift away and he doesn't want that.  I expect more crazy tweets and more public stunts leading up to this fight, but in the end when Ryan loses it will be clear that people have had enough of him.

Probably but Haney should have known that Ryan Garcia has history of mental illness already. And it was reported that he agreed on a 55-45 split, Garcia getting the lion share of the pay cut. And so it make sense the Ryan will do everything to promote the fight itself with his insane tweets and publicity stunts leading up to the fight.

Ryan knows how to bring fans to this fight, but if the reports are true that tickets are not sold out? We still have a couple of days and most likely it will be just a couple of hundreds of tickets and it could still be a block buster fight and another great PPV numbers so let's see.
