I mentioned it at the time months ago, perhaps last year, in another thread with a similar topic, it was a party that intoxicated us with that 69k, it was an emotional blow that made us erase the previous media floor, the 10k... how long were we in that price band before the last ATH, we are in the purge stage in the cryptographic ecosystem, that includes projects, tokens, hodlers, etc. these stages of current bitcoin are wonderful, it is like an organic reminder of its essence, many always mention the price higher than it will come, in my case I like to add the stable price of bitcoin in a range that makes us all happy, but perhaps you have to understand that the logical price of bitcoin is not always found in the next ATH.

Do you get disappointed when you buy an item at 70% discount ? I guess not.
That's what is happening right now because is at 70% off from it's ATH price.
We should be happy because we may NEVER see this prices again.
What if the next bull run crosses $100k and then we never see this price of $19k per BTC again.
So this might be a moment of history that we are witnessing bitcoin at such cheap prices.

Bitcoin has broken the all time high of 2017 and now it is around 19,000$. The worst part is that even on these level, we are not seeing any pumps and look like price may fall all the way to 10,000$ or even lower.
The worse part is that I can't find any strong support for it after it crashed the $20k region. We're likely heading to the $10k region you anticipated. This is a crazy moment for noob Bitcoin hodlers who weren't properly enlightened that it's not a get rich quick scheme. This set would've invested heavily with that mindset of hitting it big in no distant time. How disappointed they will be now.

Once bitcoin was at 69,000$, who would have thought that bitcoin will go so low so fast ?
I anticipated that at a point Bitcoin was going to drop but not this fast. Yes, I never saw it coming this soon.

I think we are already in th bear market since summer of last year and maybe the bottom/ end of bear market is near ?

I don't think the end is near.

Bitcoin is volatile but if we will only see how it moved for years, we will notice that it went from a very low price to thousands of dollars. It will never come to an end that easy because lots of people trust it not just as an investment but as a currency. Honestly, Bitcoin didn't disappoint me but rather surprised me with how it developed and maintain its spot for years. Bitcoin has proven a lot and I don't see any reason not to trust it.

Who would have thought? Well, I certainly did. I know I couldn't be the only one. Remember, 85%-90% pullback from ATHs is completely possible, completely normal, completely expected.

But that's always some massive scare event to result in that.

At 69k, we only needed just above $10k Bitcoin ATL for that to remain true... and the thing I mentioned several times about price never falling past a previous cycle's ATH -- now it's happened, more people will lose faith, so if the 85% pullback becomes organic, we could see even further battering if we get to that 10-11k range AND we get a scare event.

Well on a personal grounds I am not precisely mad at Bitcoin, because this won’t be the first Bear market I would be seeing although I was reading a post claiming that this bear market is different and would be worse, all this are clouth chasing speculation, although I don’t have to funds to spare on getting bitcoin right now but this drop would enable others achieve their dreams of owning a full fleshed bitcoin, and the highest Amount of time that it would take Bitcoin to bounce back would be less than a year.

No not at all, bitcoin will disappoint me if it doesn't goes above 50k for next 5 years, this is just market cycle and market manipulation and nothing else. Did usage of bitcoin got affected by any of this fall in price? No not at all, did anyone who didn't sell is losing his money? No not all. This is all just market manipulations and in the longer term bitcoin will never disappoint you.

Personally I'm not disappointed, having given up 75% of my Bitcoin holdings at a pretty high point. It was kind of luck and I really didn't use any analysis or prediction when it turned out that it was now deep and worrying bear season. But there is one thing where my sister is not in a good condition right now, her mental side might be down due to the sharp decline. He told me to buy $30K. A few days trying to calm him down so he doesn't sink too much into the sadness. At this point, he was good enough and decided to let the bear market go away on its own.

I am disappointed  that it so closely tracked the stock market down. I really wanted something that is independent of them. Without any knowledge I suspect the same people that invest in BTC are also in the markets. So when they pull out it's across the board, I don't know.

Going DCA back in after selling at the high, had to cash out for an unfortunate event and got lucky, not skill. Also in the future going to shave my profits down to my original input and diversify. If it goes below that just hold or DCA back up and wait. I'm guilty of trading on emotions and need to make a personal policy going forward.

EDIT: I hope the market cap increases significantly spread around the globe so the American markets/politics have less of an effect.

I think this happen is natural in crypto industry . If you see the history of btc you can't be disappointed. So this point  of view I didn't disappointed on btc. Let's see this post:
Someone will keep telling you that Bitcoin has collapsed… if you don't zoom out, you won't see the truth.
  • January 2015 - Bitcoin plummets to $225
  • July 2017 - Bitcoin plummets to $2500
  • June 2022 - Bitcoin plummets to $20K

Someone will still tell you later, bitcoin crashed to $200K… run before it's too late.

Bitcoin has been around for 13 years and for the last 13 years the negatives about bitcoin have always been there and you know bitcoin hasn't stopped yet.

I would say it really disappoints me in the past years when I just rejected not to sell them during the ATH but for now, I understand how. We don't need to be disappointed nor to hate the market but have to adapt to the changes as this will somehow come unpredictably. We have to always be prepared and not to be surprised when the bear season comes, perhaps, this is not new, it is indeed existing since from the very beginning.

As we are here in crypto, making some investments, we are encouraged to accept and adapt to the nature of the market. Otherwise, we make ourselves uncomfortable.
it is a past experience that will give you the knowledge of how important it is to take advantage when you are already on top.
Bitcoin market changes are not unexpected, we can still predict market prices with technical and fundamental knowledge, that way we will be ready and know what to do. Bearish and bullish markets will always occur, and we are required to continue to follow them.
There is nothing disappointing when we can predict the market price early.

The cryptocurrency market took a major hit after the United States reported inflation figures. Investors are wondering if there could be any negative news from the US Federal Reserve. I think this is the only reason for selling pressure.

Those who are long term in the crypto market may have seen such a situation before. I want to say simply that is, if the market is in a good position, then after a while there will be negative news to dump it. On the other hand, if the market condition is bad, similarly positive news will come. This is natural, so I am not disappointed in any way.

Nope, bitcoin gave me an opportunity to accumulate because I missed accumulating a decent amount during the last bear market. Now, that the bear market has already started, and it could go worse because people are now panicking, this only gives us more opportunity to buy.

All I can say especially to the newbies, study to understand the current market situation, so you will be happy instead of thinking to sell out of FEAR.

FOMO is over, time for the FUD to play.

Who would have thought that the Bitcoins price will come from $0.09 in 2010 to as high as $69k+ in a space of about 11 years? which other investment around would have given you that much profit over the same period of time? No wonder Bitcoin has so many funerals because fewer people Believe that Bitcoin can come back even after all these years of proving them wrong.
Even if the bottom is reached or near, don't believe that we are just going to be on a V-shape recovery, it might take some more months/years of the accumulation stage

It's a natural occurrence from those who bought at very higher price expected to be $100k will feel so sad or disappointed. Whoever that has been following up bitcoin for the past few years maybe 4 to 6 years now will understand it clearly.

From the title I will say No because I m actively following up the bitcoin news and analysis in the market and many more so I won't say it was or is a disappointment to me. I sold at the expected time and I will also buy at the right time or those who haste and jump into the market when it was very higher that would feel disappointing.

Ask yourself this: what has changed about bitcoin apart its price?
The answer is nothing so the answer to your question is also no. Those people who thought they could become rich overnight by buying a small amount of bitcoin are disappointed these days. The rest of us are actually happy because we are getting a huge discount and that means we can buy more bitcoin or receive more bitcoin as payment.

For example when I started I sold something for about $200 and received almost a whole bitcoin! That was in a dip very similar to this one. I'm trying to sell some stuff for bitcoin again or for fiat and then buy bitcoin with it because I want to take maximum advantage of this discount.

At the end of the day bitcoin is still the same  censorship resistant decentralized currency that is working on a global scale. The fact that some newbies are panic selling because US+EU economy is falling apart is not a concern of mine.

No, it is not disappointing, Actually, it is giving opportunites to us once again to buy at a lower price.
when the p[rice went to 60K I regrated why I didn't buy BTC before when the price was below 10K
Now I think Bitcoin will give me chance again to buy some bitcoins for long-term holding.
