Those who are buying, as well as those who are holding what they already have, will be handsomely rewarded, and, since they have the ability to discern between the losers and winners, they are confident in that eventuality.

I agree. And that's why i hold my actual amount of DGB ;-)

For everybody else, it will take the actual disappearance of the vast majority of Altcoins before they realize which ones are going to be the winners, but by then it will be way too late since DGB will already be trading at 50¢.

I wish you have right HR... but for sure this is not impossible. 50¢ will be a probable trading price in few years (not months), but it depends on too many factors in which we (investors/miners/followers) have no controls (government adoption of BTC/Altcoins, probable markets stealings which can loose faith in this kind of market in general (remember the past^^)...).

But yes, if some coin will wins this "Altcoins battle", DGB will be one of them for sure. Jared and co. are spending too much time on their "baby" and it's impossible they will not be rewarded from this work (expect the risk of the several factors in which we have no control I was speaking above), as well as people who have bought/mined/hold their coin.

DGB is for me as a collector's item : I keep them preciously in my wallet knowing that in a few years they will have a high value. It's as simple as this... and even if i wished a faster rise of its price, it's not worth it to stress for its actual price (not good for health, not good for the community to say things like "Game over, insert a coin to continue" like I have red few days ago).

In short, I want to say : "Walk or die!"... keep faith in DGB or leave it. But please, go away if you wanna troll with your fear.

Regards.

HR, . . . I want to clarify the quoted point : you have to understand that people who are loosing faith in the Altcoin market in general (and in Digibyte then because it's an Altcoin) . . .

. . . for approximately 9 months from now, the Altcoin market is in crisis... and DGB has suffered from it . . .

I agree 100% with what you say Moxymore, 100%. No doubt about it, the baby is being thrown out with the bath water, and this fact brings us back to, and reinforces, my main point: the incredible difference it makes to be able to distinguish between a winner and a loser at a very early stage.

Since the vast majority of Altcoins are eventual long term losers, they're all being treated as something to be dumped as fast as they can be mined for whatever one can get out of them. That's unfortunate short term for the still unrecognized long term winner since it keeps price artificially depressed, and more unfortunate still for those who don't have the ability to take advantage by buying on the cheap, but, as I said before, the people who are buying are doing so with very big smiles on their faces.

Those who are buying, as well as those who are holding what they already have, will be handsomely rewarded, and, since they have the ability to discern between the losers and winners, they are confident in that eventuality.

For everybody else, it will take the actual disappearance of the vast majority of Altcoins before they realize which ones are going to be the winners, but by then it will be way too late since DGB will already be trading at 50¢.

Cryptsy: Dumping 40 million coins (2 days mining) will drop us to 2 satoshis Sad

What has happened to the buy support??

Anyone got any stats for the other exchanges, hopefully they are looking better! Smiley

Answer: No one wants to support 20 million coins a day mined even @ ATL prices..what does that mean? Price will go down.

Does anyone know a good starting open source codebase to do this for a Windows Wallet?

With the announcement Windows is open-sourcing most of .Net this could lead to more mobile phone development in the future.

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/somasegar/archive/2014/11/12/opening-up-visual-studio-and-net-to-every-developer-any-application-net-server-core-open-source-and-cross-platform-visual-studio-community-2013-and-preview-of-visual-studio-2015-and-net-2015.aspx

Hi again,

I have found this link : https://github.com/y2bd/openwp

=> And the first open-source listed is... TADAM... the DOGE wallet for Windows Phone 8.1 ;-) I hope this is what you want.

[EDIT] You can maybe take a look here too, some contents seems interesting in this article (even if it's not directly related to the creation of a mobile wallet) : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dn520253.aspx or http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/dogemuch/81e2503a-567b-4a27-9c18-f6ba614096b7

[EDIT 2] I found this Windows Phone App too, Bitcoin Can (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/bitcoin-can/57fcf4d6-497a-4663-8da3-93cb26c83b11). The app is free, but not sure it's opensource. Maybe you can try to contact them here :
- [email protected]
- or here : https://www.facebook.com/bitcoincan
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!

You are welcome! Maybe the greatest way is to contact DOGE devs directly, because you worked together few months ago when you "traded" Digishield vs DGB implementation on Cryptsy. Contacts are done, and they will probably be glad to give you the source code imo.

And if it's possible, the only last feature to add in this wallet will be a QR scanner (which lacks in DOGE wallet), in order for the user to have a ALL-IN-ONE app. Have a nice day.

Help us test on the DigiByte Android Wallet!

We have tested several transactions to different wallets & we could use help testing a bit more before we release the wallet to the Play store. Download the APK here:

http://www.digibyte.co/sites/digibyte.co/files/dgb-multialgo-test-signed_0.apk

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42300902/DigiByte_Wallets_Current/dgb-multialgo-test-signed.apk

Remember to always back up your private keys before upgrading.

Testing right now.

Do you need some dutch translations for the app?

Sure, we would love one!

And what about a Windows Phone wallet? I know there are a bit less usual than android... but this will be a bit innovative Wink

I think it maybe a case of microsoft denying applications for bitcoin related wallets on their store. Remember reading something about this a while back.
