We just confirmed USD/DGB trading is coming to Prelude.io by Moolah in the next 24 hours! US deposits coming first, then GBP & EURO deposits. This is huge everyone! This is an enormous step forward for DigiByte!

Allowing for US deposits to trade from USD directly to DigiByte will push us 1 step closer toward main stream adoption of DigiByte by merchants and retailers!

Have we considered swapping algorithms to X11, SHA 3 or Scrypt-N? Not necessarily something we have to do, but being open to it to protect against ASIC miners may be a selling point. Look at Bitcoin Scrypt. They've gone up 800% maybe even more since coming public about having a community that votes on the algorithm when it comes to preventing ASIC miners and staying decentralized mining wise

PS: My research paper on what gives Cryptos value should be done by the beginning of April
This is an idea we are strongly considering. We have been researching other algorithms for awhile. At this point the first generation of Scrypt ASICs will not be giving anywhere near the same boosts we saw with Bitcoin SHA-256 ASICS. At most we are looking at a 2-3 fold increase in efficiency. Not to mention all companies have experienced delays and no one is close to market yet.

The whole idea of "ASIC" proof is a good marketing slogan but since Scrypt ASICs will not provided anywhere near the same net hash increase that Bitcoin ASICs did there are a few arguments that would make it a good thing. The 1st being increased blockchain security with a higher net hash, less power usage which is healthier for the environment and less waste.

We are keeping an eye open on this and if we have to it will be addressed down the road. For the next few months we figure we are good.

They posted a couple of vague tweets and posts in their "support" thread. It seems that they were exploited in some kind of LEAF related way and lost BTC (never disclosed on the amount). Their thread was an interesting mess to watch, I'm glad I had no BTC there, but I would still love to get my DGB back. They did promise SOMETHING happening this  week, but so far they did break all promises and deadlines they gave.

We have posted on their thread as well and we still have not heard a reply. We know others still have some DGB stuck on their site. We will keep after them until we know for sure they have updated and give people a chance to withdraw their coins.

It appears CoinMarket.io is back online: https://www.coinmarket.io/market/DGBBTC

Has anyone been able to withdraw or can you confirm they have updated their DigiByte wallet?

I managed to get a response regarding DGB & old wallet issues a couple days ago, when they were responding in a thread.

We will reset some DGB and KDC balances so people can retry their withdrawal themselves. We will post an update when it happens.
There is also a JSON-RPC specific problem with digibyte - a problem with their code.
It does not allow us to send any RPC calls to the coindaemon (from command line) while the exchange is connected to it. Not a big issue though.

Please stay assured that we will solve most of this mess - we are working hardcore on this.

Most of this mess will be solved by the end of this week, especially regarding altcoins.
Obviously there is some BTC missing due to the hacks, but we are looking for a solution.

Not sure if they updated wallet already or not. It's hard to tell with them being such way... Only hope remains.
We have tried contacting them several times over the past few weeks and they have yet to respond. Yes there is an issue when they havent updated their DigiByte wallet. Have they even checked their email or twitter feed or BTC Talk account in the last four weeks?

Even if they reopen we will not be supporting them given their lack of professionalism and total disregard for communication with their customers. Very unprofessional.

Where can get more info on digishield

I see this question asked a lot. Could the devs make a section explaining digishield on the front page of the thread and/or the homepage. Would probably be beneficial since there seems to be a lot of interest.
We will be getting this added to the front page as well as the wesbite!

create a page for digishield. then post it to other coins ANN.

i still remember the day when this, usde and noble were released, and they gathered a great interest that has remained for a long time, now new shitcoin just die the same day they are released, this place is becoming an altgrave...
This place has been an alt grave for a while, it just had one miraculous day right then.

You know, I remember the day, when on Coinmarket.io DigiByte was 100 satoshi... Now it 50 satoshi.

But! I can only call this is a good run. Only 50% loss in price is not too much, but now it's more stable.

I don't hold DGB. Just looking for what's happening with coin.
You must have been missing the day it was 300 dollarSmiley
It will get back up there, and farther... Just need to have patience, right?
