The smart money is buying DGB right now while everyone else cashes out to btc so they can cash out to fiat, they want short term profits. BTC will correct, it always does, even in a bubble if that is what we are in and alts, especially DGB, will sling shot into orbit along side btc and be in strong hands that know how to hold. Those people that are selling are going to be sitting in fiat so they can buy btc back when it falls back. That's great but this is likely when alts will fire up and those people will be on the sidelines learning a valuable lesson. If you weren't around for the last bubble get ready and simply HOLD. Things can get crazy fast. Actual bubble may be a ways away still but big movement is coming.

As I am sitting here watching the price fall into my buys on POLO a thought has popped into my head.

Why cant I buy a Digibyte from the digibyte.com website?   or even buy a bitcoin from bitcoin.com website?

Both sites list various Exchanges where I can exchange my USD/GBP to DGB/BTC, why cant I just get a money voucher and make a quick transaction, there are plenty of options from CashU, WebMoney, PerfectMoney and Plenty more....

Personally I find it a struggle to buy crypto, firstly I go to bittylicious.com and make a bank transfer to a person (bittylicious sellers are just people, they are not directly employed by bittylicious) to get BTC then pop into POLONIEX to exchange the BTC to DGB, what a kerfuffle, imagine how a non techie is supposed to do this.

Rant over :-)    Thanks for reading

that's fast. great work! i had thought it would take a few more days. Anyway, people who are concerned about the price, don't forget that DigiByte hasn't touch the Chinese market yet. Soooo...we all know why Bitcoin's price has been rising a lot lately. Imagine that happening to DigiByte. 2016!!!

This is my theory behind all the constant dumps within DGB

If there is 6,209,280 DGB being mined every day that gives you 43,464,960 per week no wonder its being dumped to hell miners are just going to take the profits with BTC so high...DGB aint going nowhere anytime soon...such a shame TBH sometimes its best to not try & fix something thats not broken...digispeed was a big mistake

That's around 100 USD daily at current prices, about 1/2 of your average operating costs - if I'm not mistaken, meaning these miners (excepting those robbing their electricity) are PAYING an aggregate 100 USD to mine and dump. It sure must be a lot of fun because we haven't even mentioned the cost of their mining equipment yet.

And for all of that, still only a miniscule drop in the bucket.

there are many miners purely in it for dumps (perhaps with a bit of short term market manipulation as well).
as price rises obviously the amount of short term miners will increase
obviously as price declines dumping will decrease too.

As price moves up, and the number of miners grow, so will the difficulty to mine, and that in turn means that profitibility breakeven levels will also move higher.

I highly recommend that everyone revisit the basics because what I've been seeing again and again on this board is a lot of nonsense boarding on stupidity and all for lack of understanding about what a cryptocurrency really is and how it really works.

. . . of course, with people who blame others for their uninformed trading mistakes, what else should we expect?

But I do suspect the rest of us are able to keep from falling into that seeming cosy trap of ignorant bliss, so let's bring the level up a bit.

Before posting, we should ask ourselves if we at least have a basic understanding of what we're talking about and how things work.

Google is a great starting point by the way.  Wink

Unfortunately, there's nothing there on how to stop being a day trading loser. Cheesy

Hi, I need your help with the wallet.

Two days ago I have sent some coins and closed the wallet while transaction was unconfirmed, which I usually don't do. Now, digi is crashing every time it reaches wallet.dat.
When wallet was removed new one was created and it synced till the end. Restoring previous wallet afterwards didn't work.
I was able to sync on Sunday and receive coins, didn't use wallet after that.

Any suggestions?

Restart the wallet wit the -rescan or -reindex command.

Thank you, reindex worked, your address for donation please?

Hi Lakici.  I'm happy to hear it worked for you.  Genuinely happy that your issue was resolved.  You don't have to tip us for support.  We're happy to provide support to our community.  Instead, send what you would have tipped us to a friend that you think might be interested in DGB.

Read back over all of that ... it's not surprising at all that the DGB market cap has increased 559% during the same time.  DigiByte has significantly increased the underlying value of the services and network over the past 12 months.

I would challenge anyone to give me an example of a digital currency that has accomplished the same amount in the past 12 months.

I would say Gulden has accomplished a lot in 12 months in development and especially in the last 8 months. It might be the best investment of all coins at the moment.
Digibyte has had a incredible and well deserved run and it's back to consolidation for a bit but it has settled at a new higher low and I see digibyte taking Dogecoins place in marketcap in the future.

I noticed the iOS app is no longer in the store and only android available for users, is there plans to have a iOS wallet again?

NLG is a very good investment indeed and has a very deserving spot on my Top 10 list (and will likely move up on the year end report). DGB is still the undeniable #1 though.

I think a lot of price speculation concerning DigiByte is purely a psychological thing.
