Hello friends.
I have a problem to share.
My country is average. They are too familiar with outdated and old technologies.
In my country many people still understand Bitcoin as virtual currency. BTC does not bring anything to life. They just think Bitcoin investment is gambling, chance, black red.
Why?
Why do not they look at Bitcoin, ETH or blockchain technology for the present.
Blockchain minimizes transportation costs, intermediates and risks.
Personally, I always try to absorb and learn nonstop.
And you? How is your country?
The people aren't entirely wrong, don't be so quick to count the local people out. You, like most of us here, see Bitcoin as an investment, but less we forget, investment involves taking a chance. So in a way, it's a gamble. Many people are luddites by nature, unaware of the potential of technology, especially modern technology.
Some people will never except the advancement of the new age, but our focus is on those who will. It takes time for people to get used to the idea of new technology. Think about the industrial revolution for a second, the fear of being replaced by an automaton is still in the air. Just give people their space, give them their time. They may come around!

It is good know that you learned non-stop. Bitcoin actually is a kind of currency which we use it as electronic payment transaction as virtual currency. Here in my country Bitcoin was already adapted into our BSP through the exchange we have it in here like Rebit.ph, Abra, Bitbit, and coins.ph

Some countries don't believe in bitcoin like you said and some are seeing it as a scam and a waste of time. Not worth putting their energy to it due to its volatile nature though I won't blame them. Few have seen beyond that and have already embrace the technology. Some don't like trying new technologies unless it's been proven successful and some prefer something they can hold on to not something virtual. Either way let's see how it will all pan out in the future. Keep doing what you are doing.
Some people are still not ready to accept this truth that Bitcoin exist in real due to it's nature. As everyone here is supporting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency but it is the biggest threat to the traditional banking system, where banks have a tight hold on the economy. They don't want the cryptocurrency to move to the front. Therefore, we listen from the government officials about it is that it is meant to facilitate the grey activities.

In most countries bitcoin is neither digital money nor virtual currency! Why? Because money or a currency has to be accepted as a payment method and banks and exchanges are obligated to exchange it and this is in most countries simply not the case. In most countries bitcoin is simply a value storage and transfer system.

Everything regarding the crypto currencies is now mainstream. My grandpa knows about it, its on the news almost everyday. Everyone knows about it but still are afraid of investing online. I don’t think people get the picture with the virtual or even the digital currencies. Even when I started with investing in either one I was sceptical a lot. The people need an education and a better understanding of the blockchain technology.

BTC can be associated with gambling is when you go in blindly and invest money to make more money. Crypto doesn't work that way. You really need to sit down and do research and look at properly before investing. Also many people don't understand the concept of crypto therefore give a negative outlook on it. Before I started I was very sceptical but now I love it

It is difficult to call virtual currency or digital money. It depends on the acceptance of a country. People are there, people ... Smiley
In my opinion, calling either virtual currency or digital currency will hardly change anything and that this won’taffect the reputation of the crypto currencies. name has nothing to do with the nature of the crypto coins and that your focus should be on making of more money and learning the techniques which can then help you out in getting your desired results as this will help you in making more money.

Exactly it is all about the condition of the bitcoin in related country, we should wait for the bitcoin to be legal then we will use  it as money, in my country bitcoin is the digital money because it is very easy to pay for anything with bitcoin and a lot of companies are bitcoin as the legal currency, gradually bitcoin is spreading high, which is making the trust and they believe of people for bitcoin stronger than before so for me it is very good to sue as digital money as also as virtual  currency to save for long time as an investment.

The issue comes with the people, and I think that no matter where you go there will be people who refuse to learn about the newer topics coming out. They feel like since their life is going fine, they don't really need to look into the new. They're content with the old.

You're a curious person out of that audience, and that's what makes you (and most of the people on these forums) unique. We're understanding and building a community of knowledge about these cryptocurrencies here.

I don't think the United States has much time to deal with Bitcoin overall. There are too many internal problems going on here that the government pretty much has to deal with. They're likely to do a sloppy job with how they deal with crypto.
Think of me.
Most of them are happy with the present life, but I think human beings are always learning and cultivating knowledge.
Of course I can not force anyone to do anything, but I still expect them to think positively about Crypto
P / s: Me and my team often meet to chat around this issue.
Thank you for your suggestions I will take over Smiley

Some people, especially the old generation( 40+ years in age ), can't accept the fact that money is digital, and they just can't listen to things like " decentralized payment system" and etc, so they are instantly being rude about it and don't wanna listen to any new ideas.
Anyway, soon enough this old generation will pass away and we need to teach the young generation how decentralized payment system works and why it's really important for our society.

In my opinion, there are big differences in these two currencies. As we all know before payza, webmoney, payoneer ... it is heavily used in payment and is called virtual currency. Bitcoin is really a digital coin. It also offers superior technology, utility and innovation. A revolution to define decentralized supply is the difference.

Big difference exist, its not just your opinion. Bitcoin is crypto coin, digital coin is how would I call fiat in digital form. Technology, blockchain on which bitcoin is made is completely different from traditional system, supply is regulated different. Centralized system can't be compared with decentralized system, and that is maybe the biggest difference between this two systems, and after that almost everything else is different, supply of coins, transactions between users.
You can't compare digital currency, which is traditional currency in digital form with crypto currencies. People should stop doing that, and to learn more about crypto before starting to claim anything. There are many people who doesn't know how traditional system works, they need to learn a lot.

Maximum of the people looks at bitcoin just as an investment, previous year it was just a short term easy money making scheme. Which is completely misleading and false. That's why we see here many post like "bitcoin is ponzi". The blockchain technology is just started to implement in many areas, people will soon recognize its power.

Digital money is referring to those plastic cards that bank control,
this is not safe like cryptocurrency as we find in the news many customers of the banks are being scammed and fraud.
this will not also go without the presence of internet, there are debit and credit.
while virtual is bitcoin and its alternative coins which we control and sometimes hacked. but as long as we are being safe we will not suffer that.
btw i am choosing crypto or virtual money.

I think both digital and virtual currency are not a trustable currencies in now a days anything will happen in now a days so it is our own risks to invest on both these currencies .
