Do not pay attention to what they think. It is their problem. In my country, there are such people, but most  consider the cryptocurrency just as an investment opportunity.

If fiat currencies change into something like cryptocurrency, then probably crypto will lose its novelty and people will prefer to still use the fiat which has been digitized. Since the fiat will be supported by the country that created it unlike crypto which has always been frowned upon by the governments.

I think there is a positive effect on this.  Remember money being recorded on blockchain?  Corruption will then be decresed since all the government expeditures and incomes are open to the public.  These money will then be used to where it should be and not put on the pocket of this corrupt officials.  This is the reason why cryto is being frowned upon by the government officials.  Due to its transparency.

Bitcoin really is a virtual currency but the difference is that you can liquidate it to your fiat and make use of it for your personal necessities. In my country bitcoin has also many misconception they think it's a scam, ponzi scheme, illegal cause it can be used to buy drugs, weapons. Clearly we need to educate the people with this misinformations so potential investors could join and stop being afraid of it.

But I have little question for me to continue this topic. I find it a healthy topic.
In Asian countries, particularly in Southeast Asia, most of them have many poor or developing countries.
Blockchain 4.0 technology has not reached many people. Governments in Southeast Asian countries are too timid, they have not promoted, propaganda to help people understand and recognize Blockchain.
This is my small opinion, if any offense remind me. I will learn from experience.
Thank you so much!
It's the first time i've heard about blockchain 4.0 after reading an article about it sounds like another alt will be taking over. Governments from SEA countries aren't timid about bitcoin its just that every government at the moment have bigger problems (poverty, environment, population, etc) they don't have time about bitcoin/crypto and all those stuff. Here in my country they recognize bitcoin but doesn't support it because of the risks involve and local banks here doesn't want to be involve with bitcoin transaction if they found out they could close your account.
Thank you for comment. I will try to learn from you. Smiley

Hello friends.
I have a problem to share.
My country is average. They are too familiar with outdated and old technologies.
In my country many people still understand Bitcoin as virtual currency. BTC does not bring anything to life. They just think Bitcoin investment is gambling, chance, black red.
Why?
Why do not they look at Bitcoin, ETH or blockchain technology for the present.
Blockchain minimizes transportation costs, intermediates and risks.
Personally, I always try to absorb and learn nonstop.
And you? How is your country?

That's a good question. I guess most remain unaware of the opportunities and potential for profit in crypto currencies. The other less tangible benefits to society and civilization at large presented by decentralization, algorithmically regulated supply, trust-less systems, deregulation and other principles upon which some crypto currencies are built or experiment with all have the potential to reshape and revolutionize the way we think about and use money. There are a lot of amazing aspects of crypto but I guess most of it does not connect with popular culture in a way which captures peoples imaginations. Maybe its the media spamming negative sentiment which is the prime force influencing people into having negative views.

I'm glad someone tries to absorb and learn nonstop. That's what I should be doing but somehow end up doing other things. Hopefully i can be more focused and do better in the future.
Thank you.

When everyone in the world, countries accept Crypto or Blockchain technology.
Imagine the future.
I can give a little example:
I do not have a lot of money but I want to spend a little to raise $ 10 to $ 100 to support the poor or heavily affected countries. I did not know how to help them without the appearance of Blockchain. Everything is resolved. Smiley Everything is public, there is no fraud. Smiley

Isnt surprising since every countries do have their own perspective when it comes to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Some might consider some might stop and just purely treating it as a fixed thing.
You cant blame them on what they do believe but we do know that it would be their own loss if they wont believe on this such potential tech. They would only accept it when bitcoins price is already at the top.

Thank you for comment.
I do not blame anyone.
The issue here is how people in my country think of Crypto.
My country is located in Southeast Asia, is a progressive country.
I believe in the near future people will understand what Technology 4.0 gives people, the country Smiley

Gambling and Investment are two different things and both have their own kind of risk level.

In gambling, when you get losses then there is no way to recover - you are just fucked up. So it's a high-risk thing.

In crypto investment, you are buying an asset with your money and you are hodling that - no matter if the price falls later for some time, but still have a chance that the price will rise again.
So it's a low-risk thing if compare with gambling.

I will take the risk to invest all my money in crypto but I will not risk 1% of the money in gambling. I believe gambling has high risk than crypto investment.

If your country peoples don't have much knowledge about crypto or they are not getting much info about crypto then take the responsibility to make them understand the beauty of crypto.
It will not cost you any money, just start with your friends and family. One day your msg will spread out all over the country.

Thank you for your opinion.
But I think it has its own risk.
When you make a decision to invest or speculate in any one area, you should learn and accumulate experience in that field.
Gambling has a lot of gambling, and when you do not control your reason and patience, you get caught up in it. It is no different than satisfying your addiction.
Like trading: one day you can eat 5%, 10%, 20% profit ... but you can not win forever. Just a too greedy command you can swing. Smiley
Everything has its price. Here I just want to say that everyone doing anything should have knowledge. Thank you for your comments, very happy to discuss. Smiley

The issue comes with the people, and I think that no matter where you go there will be people who refuse to learn about the newer topics coming out. They feel like since their life is going fine, they don't really need to look into the new. They're content with the old.

You're a curious person out of that audience, and that's what makes you (and most of the people on these forums) unique. We're understanding and building a community of knowledge about these cryptocurrencies here.

I don't think the United States has much time to deal with Bitcoin overall. There are too many internal problems going on here that the government pretty much has to deal with. They're likely to do a sloppy job with how they deal with crypto.
Think of me.
Most of them are happy with the present life, but I think human beings are always learning and cultivating knowledge.
Of course I can not force anyone to do anything, but I still expect them to think positively about Crypto
P / s: Me and my team often meet to chat around this issue.
Thank you for your suggestions I will take over Smiley

the powers that be are maybe not moving in to protect blockchain but instead trying to bring it under control to protect their worthless fiat money. Very interesting read over here:

https://medium.com/@super.crypto1/4th-dimension-bitcoin-manipulation-cartel-can-it-be-burnt-no-way-c53de65c166a

well they are scaring more private investors out as we speak and then pick up for cheap. It is about controlling the blockchain space as long as possible.

The problem is that some countries are still involved in strictly traditional financial system. I do not acquiesce that it is continent based or peculiar to third world countries alone, as we know that some countries in the "first world countries" are still traditional.

Having knowledge of gambling is also an investment.
Hmm.... Gambling you conceive as an investment? Well, maybe to the way you feel it and profiting from it.

There are plenty of thread which discuss about the bitcoin usages on various countries and how they take it. Still third world countries does not aware of cryptocurrency. If the complete world get into the market you, me everyone will find the huge price bump in the crypto currency market.
