I compiled dime from source, and no problems. I have not tried with Windows, only Linux, so it could be a Linux thing.
I downloaded the blockchain, which took some time, but I find that after about 800,000 blocks, the wallet becomes unresponsive.
In simple terms, if I delete most of the block data, the wallet opens within 30 seconds (up to about 800,000). If I let the wallet sych again, and close it, the next time I open it, it takes minutes.
With this being Linux, you expect to get the the little menu on the toolbar, not the client, but at full synch, when it takes minutes to stop loading the block index, I have no menu, because I have no toolbar appear.
I have tried it with a daemon, rpc calls are fine up till about 800,000 height, after that if I try a simple call (getinfo), I get a message saying "could not communicate with daemon."
I think there is a fix for this, which involves removing files from "blocks" in the conf file, but not sure which.
BTW, I made a bootstrap of the blocks, and even that is 1.1 GB in a zip file. LOL.
An Electrum wallet would be a good idea.

Another question, before I forget, did anyone fix the issue of sending more than 20 million dime in 1 transaction?

I have recently sent 200 million DIME in a single transaction without any issue.

Me too. I did sent 100 million DIME from cryptopia (they do not have that 20 million limit that novaexchange and other exchanges do have) to my windows wallet and from windows wallet into paper wallet. I will look at the source code at the weekend to make myself familiar if and how a max transaction limit is implemented.

Progress is the realization of UTOPIA's

This coin is dead, Y'all may as well give it up. Its just too many coins out and no one is really buying it.

Well, if you don't this coin then leave it aside. Don't spread FUD. Moreover, you really don't have any proof to support your statement. We all can see the trading volume is way bigger than previous months. Don't be late, we still have room in our boat. Just jump in and have fun....

LOL, coin has went to shits on Yobit and its already a 25 btc sell wall at coinexchange on the first day. I say this coin is DEAD!

The total trading volume today is 17,100$ accroding to coinmarketcap. The last time trading volume surpassed 17000$ was on Jan 29th, 2014 (18000$). So, after 3 and 1/2 years later DIME has REVIVED. Do your research before commenting. Now shut the f*uck up and get in....

very good community . .. going to buy DIME on cryptopia.  Grin

The price is on of the cheapest on the market and it is going strong everyday. The moment BTC scaling issue ressolves, the whole crypto market will get a boost and DIME will not be left behind. Happy buying...

Great, I really like that, beyond what I imagine, keep intact and HODL!

Hi!

This project looks promising. Can somebody explain that community takeover?
Is there now more devs from community to joined the team or is it just that the main devs gone and community started to get things done?

Thanks!

Community started to get things done: website http://www.dimecoin.rocks/ with downloadable windows wallet, paper wallet adopted for DimeCoin, MAC wallet soon, ...
I will fork the original github source into a new github within the next days. Not to change the DimeCoin-Parameters, but to upgrade libraries like ssh and to remove IRC, because of false positives from antivirus software. With the original developers absent since years, I would like to let the DimeCoin community decide about DimeCoin's future and development.
Everyone is most welcome to join the team.

Will add a coin to Poloniex?

We do need much higher trade volume to get listed on poloniex. Give DIME some time.  Smiley Within the next weeks/months we will have a mac wallet, bootstrap installer, new compiled downloadable wallets with upgraded libraries like ssh, ....perhaps an android app soon (depends on coinomi.com decision), ....  Smiley Cool

Trading DIME on cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=DIME_LTC and novaexchange: https://novaexchange.com/market/LTC_DIME/ is working very well.  Smiley I did not test the other exchanges.

@peme, could you guys check wallets at yobit and maybe contact them to fix them? they are saying wallets are in maintainance again.i want to move my coins from that exchange and cant.would apreciate it if you could have a look at that.have 200 milion coins stuck there   Angry

I do not know if or how I can help here. I do have no yobit contact. There is no problem with DimeCoin or wallet itself. Maybe they have to correct/repair some yobit exchange internal issues between cold/hot wallet or whatever. If they do need any help, they can ask here or write me a pm.

they usualy dont do that thats why i came here.they keep users without the ability to withdraw a long time before they do anything so i thought if you guys would contact them through support ticket or anything things would go faster.

I will contact them to ask, how I can help.
