you are taking a big risk fully trusting someone based off ID and social networks.

And with great risk comes great rewards.

You are right of course, but I chose my path. I think you're absolutely right and I appreciate your advice though.

This is actually the final question! (Count them again and see for yourself!)
...

Hey!  I still don't have the answer to my question, #19.  Can quantum mechanics and general relativity be realized as a fully consistent theory?

Answer the question or be forever known as ... as one of those people that knows it all but won't share.

A simple yes or no would suffice.

I do think doing any business with anonymous people is downright ridiculous, at least without escrow of some sort. As for Pirate, I've said this a dozen times at least -- He's not anonymous.

Practically is. Bitcoin seems to have a very diverse community. With that comes people that don't understand ID means nothing mixed in with experienced scammers and criminals. Unless you ran it through NCIC (w/ matching SSN + preferably more info) and the pictures matched ID doesn't mean much. Even if it's valid through NCIC it could just have been copied. I had an old college friend that looked exactly like me, if I had a fake ID made with his DL number and made a facebook account you guys would send me millions?

I have been tempted to show you guys how little this stuff means the hard way, but my morals got the best of me. But really, if you don't know the guy personally. If you haven't met his family and knows where he sleeps. Then confirmed that with pictures from government sites, you are taking a big risk fully trusting someone based off ID and social networks.

#22 (if you feel like answering extra questions) : Based on your past history you seem to lack faith in any anonymous person yet you make a 10 000 btc bet on an anonymous person with (for the most part) anonymous people?

I do think doing any business with anonymous people is downright ridiculous, at least without escrow of some sort. As for Pirate, I've said this a dozen times at least -- He's not anonymous. And the betters? only some of them are. The larger wagers are individuals who are well known.

#23 - I doubt you have 10,000 BTC.  Can you please address sign a balance of at least 10k and post the message here?

I think Matthew will come up with the 10kBTC. It's a bold move he has made.

#20 Why don't you invest your 10.000 BTC in some SC minirigs?
I'd prefer to invest in Ripple.
Who wouldn't want to invest in Ripple?

What is the real risk for you? I guess you would not give any numbers but are 10.000BTC a little, moderate or big part of you overall balance?

As mentioned, I ask that some aspects of my personal privacy be respected. Having said that, yes, it constitutes a larged portion of holdings.

#21 if you are betting with your own funds on your own risk, please comment this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wanted-secured-loan-for-apartment-deposit-69272 thread .

"even if I had the $5,000"

edit: a few words on the real estate market in Korea: freaking crazy, never understood the system even though quite a few Koreans tried to explain it to me.

Still the question remains if you didn't have spare funds in abundance in march, how come now? If there have been circumstances (heritage etc.) which made you wealthy now you shouldn't blow it away so easily. Just my 0.2BTC

#19 How do space and time and energy work at very high energies or short times?  This question is a bit of a troll, I'm looking for a complete and self consistent theory of quantum gravity.

do you think the FED putting pressure on governments to "crack down" on bitcoin is inevitable if the project gains any sort of real traction (like 100$ a coin)?
Can't say. I will say that I believe there are just as many jaded, selifish and controlling agendas in Bitcoin as there are in the FED, because you can't change people so quickly.
