Thanks, Ken. Hope you feel better soon. I was also inspired by Tim's reading of the DNotes Story. Tim is now working on doing the whole book and make it widely accessible for a small amount of DNotes using DNotes Pay. I trust that many will find the audio book helpful and inspiring. That will be another tool to help DNotes gain mass acceptance as an inclusive trusted digital currency.

Haven't been feeling the best of late, so I haven't had the energy to comment in the last couple of days. My apologies to all. However, I did get a chance to listen to Tim's excellent reading of the DNotes Story, and was as inspired as I was when I first read it. It is indeed an excellent account of how we got to where we are, and the vision and mission that drives DNotes forward. As we look about the digital currency landscape, there can be little doubt that DNotes continues to be second-to-none in its commitment to achieving mass adoption and providing tangible benefits and opportunity for people everywhere.

DNotes Pay Expanded View

DNotes Pay can be used by anyone anywhere in the world to accept DNotes in exchange for products and services. However, the reason it is still a Proof of Concept right now is because there are still challenges and we need to think through and figure out the best way to tackle these challenges.

We are building and growing a solution from the ground up and looking at how it will progress, intermediate solutions, and the ideal solution. DNotes Pay is now more decentralized and requires some level of knowledge and experience with DNotes to use.

Among the highest of those challenges is to start to familiarize people with DNotes Pay.
How do we make sure they know this payment button requires DNotes?
If it's their first interaction with DNotes Pay, how do we get them the critical information such as this is a digital currency and you need that digital currency to purchase using this method?
If they don't already have DNotes, how can we get them intrigued in obtaining some DNotes?
How do we make it easy for them to obtain DNotes and use the DNotes?

Here are some of our ideas to solving those problems and answering those questions:

DNotes Pay buttons are clearly branded, before they click on it.

When they get to a payment page it explains to them what DNotes is as briefly as possible with an additional link for more information. How would we briefly introduce them?

Incentivize them for getting some DNotes. When we have the capacity and funding to be able to legitimately verify individual users at say the DNotesVault, we would offer them some free DNotes, or partially pay for some of their order in DNotes for getting started.

So with all of that said, I am reaching out to the community to get your suggestions on DNotes Pay and how to tackle these problems.

It may be a tad more complicated than it may appear. The exchanges typically use the following commands to communicate with the daemon in sending a transaction:

createrawtransaction [{"txid":txid,"vout":n},...] {address:amount,...}
signrawtransaction [{"txid":txid,"vout":n,"scriptPubKey":hex,"redeemScript":hex},...] [,...] [sighashtype="ALL"]
sendrawtransaction

Each of those commands require calls to the daemon to get additional information, like the output of the previous transaction that they want to use to spend. Of course once you have a system setup to do this for one cryptocurrency, it's much easier to setup your next one. But if I were to go through the whole process manually for one transaction (or more specifically one specific type of transaction), and verify my results at each step of the way, that would take me a day (a long day) just to get through, and there are many failure points and variables within transactions to verify.

While I would have liked to see it get fixed more quickly, I can also understand if it takes a while among other priorities. Hopefully we are good now though.
