I don't know if this is reliable, but ICOs may be paying $1 million to $3 million to get listed on an exchange!!

Crypto Exchange Listing Fees

"We’ve done some sleuthing on the crypto rumor mill, from Telegram groups to whispered numbers between entrepreneurs. It sounds like the market price to list a crypto token on an exchange is $1 million for a reasonably regarded token, to $3 million for an opportunity to get quick liquidity. We don’t know these numbers with certainty, but suspect the order of magnitude to be roughly in line with today’s reality."

https://next.autonomous.com/thoughts/crypto-exchange-listing-fees

How does this work against DNotes listing on big exchanges in the near future? I hope we aren't just stuck on Crytopia. I like them but they seem to be having their own issues. With other tokens not being able to transfer in a timely manner and such. Sometimes needing multiple work tickets to fix transfer problems. Hopefully new exchanges are in the works is all I'm saying in order for DNotes to take off. I know we have just got the train rolling so patience is key i'm just mentioning that Cryptopia is good but not great. IMO.

I agree with what you're saying, DNotes has a pressing need to get on some good exchanges. The key is finding the right ones that are guaranteed to be around for many years to come, and have a low likelihood of corruption. I've lost too many DNotes on corrupt exchanges to trust putting anything more than a small amount on any exchange, and until such time as DNotes launches it's own exchange, this habit likely won't change. Any cryptocurrency or token exchange that charges 1-3 million dollars for listing in this stage of the industry's development, might as well be guilty of extortion.

A good project for some DNotes community members to undertake would be researching the various exchanges to find those with reasonable listing fees and a good reputation.

I'm sure after 4 years they have already done that work also. Along with the plan of advertising and which markets they are going to hit. Asking the people to spread the word is like me asking people to pull together some kids to play a pick up basketball game. This has been planned for a long time and when they let the cat out of the bag its going to be HUGE. I was just saying that Cryptopia is not on any one of the big coins top exchanges and they have issue as well. The coins that are in the top 25, Cryptopia is listed as number 30 and below on their market lists. I'm not complaining by any means just having a healthy conversation. Tossing around ideas.

DNotes Global has a solid plan https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/, but this industry is notorious for unforeseen variables arising, so adaptability and awareness are key.

I think that it's important in maintaining the decentralized spirit of the DNotes cryptocurrency, and the ability for our community to participate is vital to that. If someone feels like doing a project that will benefit the currency, and it's a good opportunity for them to develop skills/gain knowledge in the process, why shouldn't they be allowed to help out? Just as they should be able to invest and forget about it, if they want to. But those who got hands on and chipped in will have bragging rights, they'll be able to say, "I was there and I got shit done". It might even be a good launching pad for their own personal ventures.

Cryptopia withdwawal times can be pretty ridiculous during high volume times, which leads me to believe that they wouldn't be able to scale very easily.

I should have started with saying that there are other tokens i am not going to mention that have asked their people to advertise for them and do all the research for exchanges. (it is so tempting to say the name). That is small time, and even if they get the credit they get left behind when it takes off. Yes they learned along the way but no reward for their hard work. Amazon doesn't ask their employees to advertise for them. hahahaha I know I'm reaching on that example. Maybe they did during their early years. I guess if there are people with special skills willing to work for free while the rich get richer then go for it. I'm sure DNotes did the research along the 4 year road is all I'm saying. They also know that Cryptopia is not the way to the top.

By this logic I should shut down https://dnotesedu.com lol.

Ultimately we have to give them no choice but to list DNotes. The ICO market has put a damper on the industry overall, exchanges are more cautious, and lots of money is being thrown around. What our community can do to help is support on social media, support us in the real world, and reach out to the exchanges you would like to see DNotes listed on and request it.

The article only mentions the cost of listing ICO tokens, and I am guessing that isn't happening in the US.

Speaking of exchanges, Bittrex should take a good look at DNotes 2.0 - we appear to be exactly what they are looking for. I'm assuming when they say token they mean cryptocurrencies as well, because this was the only information on getting anything listed. There is a compliance review that DNotes would pass with flying colors, and new characteristics/features they look for before listing - DNotes 2.0.  Regulated exchanges (U.S., Canada,...?) are very limited in what they can list now, and may be looking for some very reputable coins.

To help drive innovation in the blockchain industry, Bittrex is committed to supporting both new and established blockchains.

Bittrex seeks to provide its users with an ever-growing selection of blockchain technologies and digital tokens...

...In addition to the compliance review, Bittrex reviews several items when determining whether to list a token, including but not limited to whether it is an innovative and/or new Blockchain or has an innovative use case or application. As part of its review, Bittrex takes into consideration a number of factors including but not limited to:

- New blockchain features
- Significant improvement over existing blockchain
- Interesting, innovative, or unique application
- Usefulness of use cases
- Technological experience and reputation of token applicant and team
- Market interest

Bittrex does not currently charge a fee for listing a token on our Exchange. We believe in promoting the blockchain industry, and we have spent, and will continue to invest, significant resources to review tokens for listing on our Exchange.

Please do not believe any consultant, advisor, or individual that tells you that they can get your token listed on the Bittrex Exchange for a fee. The decision to list a token is made by a committee of Bittrex employees after a rigorous review.

So I currently have coins on an exchange and no other Dnotes address. My problem being is I need an address outside of the exchange. I'm on a linux laptop, so no wallet support.

How long is the swap going on for? Can I swap my old coins out after the DNotes vault reopens or will it be too late by then?

Welcome to the new face of financial literacy!

Financial Literacy Needs to Include Knowledge on Cryptocurrency

We are rapidly moving toward a digital world, and while it may be some time before artificial intelligence is cleaning your bathroom, digital money is already knocking on the door. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are starting to make the push into the current financial system, and without some basic ‘money education’, a lot of people will fall behind even further – not just financially, but also in terms of opportunity.

April is Financial Literacy Month in the United States, and a good time to bring awareness of the need for accurate, beginner-level educational material on cryptocurrency. The level of misinformation and deceptive, if not fraudulent promotion is more than just a little disturbing. Equally disturbing in the world of cryptocurrency and initial coin offerings (ICO), is the number of people believing everything they hear or read because they lack subject knowledge.
