i believe altcoins will have a better future soon, they are being dominated by bitcoin price for many years, but they are rising with higher speed than bitcoin, so i think in few years from now bitcoin pprice will surely drop and more people will have to use altcoins for instead.

I think altcoin currently has the same opportunity with its predecessors to grow in the future. With the advancing technology and growing community combined with the features it offers, altcoin may be ahead of its predecessors, fee issues, technological issues, communities, altcoin usability interactions with current needs will bring altcoin into a bright future for cryptocurrency. Can the altcoin community survive and compete with bitcoin?
We must also consider another important issue that is the government's decision. Government regulation issues on cryptocurrency. We have to wait for their decision whether they want altcoin to be cryptocurrency or not. Will you support it or not? Perhaps it could also bring survival to the altcoin itself, putting aside the technological problems that its development might offer.

If bitcoin holds, and gets world accepted , altcoins will be the future.. Like POWR , ETH , all those other altcoins based on the blockchain technology will develop into something beautiful.. A future that no one really imagined, a future where no banks will control your land or freedom.

Based on what I have experience about a lot of altcoins, I really think that a lot of them a potentially useless in the end. Most of them only give beautiful promises about their projects but eventually their coins just got dumped and their prices drops like rain. Its really very hard to predict which altcoins have a future because so far, only a bit have made it.

A bunch of them have been around for years and been in the top100 for years, so I guess that's not entirely true.

I think that some altcoins have a really shiny future forward of them like ethereum ,ethereum classic, monero and litecoin. All these altcoins are extremely intensifying and you can anticipate great development from them.

Good altcoins have a very good future.  There is no doubt about it.  I think you should select top 10 coins from Poloniex and invest in them for a long term without any fear of losing. If you are going for other exchanges be careful not to invest in pump & dump coins.

for me also i see some interested altcoin checking it for the best top 10 altcoi this is where i based if this was just be more interesting for and that i know i can get some profit of it.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

I don't sure about the litecoin, but I think ethereum has a really good potential for the future. Altcoins have really fluctuate price curves, and in my opinion, any coin can make big surprises and reach really high prices in the future.

But also it is interesting to mention new DAG coins. In fact they are partially centralized but they offer quick transactions with very small price. Also no need to keep all the blockchain. Seems like interesting decision.

I also agree with you;

Ethereum - Smart contract platform with good community support and demand.
ETC - Active development ongoing and still cheaper compared to ETH with same feature.
Monero - Everybody loves anonymity
Litecoin - old and accepted by many merchants, stable mining and constant support from large group of devs + community.

Yes some will be. There may be up and down of value but some will last as long as there are traders who uses them.

Some may be left behind. But if the government bans the implementation of ICO, then many projects will die. We remember what happened in the summer, when the Chinese government banned ICO. Many coins died

Apart from China, there are many European countries with a good reputation, no need to rely on China as a panacea.

Altcoins have a future when they are backed with a powerful project that will have practical implementation and not exaggerated concepts on paper. Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero etc have been proving their potential since a long time and that's the reason their usability is soivh in today's Crypto world. Many Altcoins are just there in the market for the sake of simply existing without any project/product backing the coin..

It seems to me that in a few years only 30-50 coins will remain. All other small projects will simply die. Now there are a lot of coins on the market that do not have a future
