What coins you have and at what price you bought is important. If you bought @high price try to average at this price and keep long time, surely you will get returns.
If this is a promising coin, then there is a chance that the price for such coins will grow faster than at the BTC.
If you are more of a bitcoin fan than stick with bitcoin there is no wrong to it after all BTC is the best among the crypto. No argues to that. But to me, there are lots of tokens that has potential to be used widely and its just a matter of time that the world will embrace all these apps which will help the rise of blockchain markets.
To sell everything that you have is clearly not the best way to get rich on crypto-currencies, it probably will be the most stupid action about which you will later regret and write on the forum the next thread of messages, you do not need to do this, just tolerate it.
I do not see any reason to sell coins, because this year the price for BTC will not be $ 20,000.
No i don't think so to sell Altcoins because at current time all altcoins are very down. U will hold all altcoins till the rate or if u do not have requirement of fund. So have petitions for sell.
Well, the good news is the btc actually did reach about 20k. The bad news now is the we are in a bear sesaon and most people are not even ready to believe it. My advice is to keep only money you are willing to loose in crypto at this time as the market is very unreliable at this time.
You can make any decision. Only you have the right to dispose of your capital. But it seems to me that you should not sell coins at a loss. Sometimes it's better to just wait.

Before selling your alts you should really consider looking into price history of the alts you are holding to the price history of BTC as you will notice, alts have greater % of price as compared to btc. In my opinion, you need to hold on to your alts, they will be really good assets for you in the coming days.
Its totally up to you. You could sell all alts for BTC or ETH or even go further and put it all in tether. That all relies on you being able to guarantee the market will drop further. Your other option would be to leave it in alts and wait because alts always have bigger swings than BTC and the time to sell your alts was when they were high in price, not now that they are low.

I think it all depends on how comfortable you are holding altcoin rather than turning it into bitcoin. If I personally still like bitcoin, because bitcoin is more popular and more valuable.
Most likely this year, the price of BTC will not be $ 20,000. And so I do not advise selling coins to buy BTC.
Following other people's advise would be the most incorrect decision you will every make. This is your investment/trade so it would be best to always have an exit plan after you enter. 
Not necessarily to sell all your altcoins because you couldn't tell what coin of yours could bring a good profit. Besides all coin of cryptocurrency has a value and prices that posted in the market so instead of selling all your altcoins think about holding your some alts and wait till the market recover and gets high again.

I prefer to hold 50/50 BTC/other altcoins. Now is downtrend on the market and I don't think it is a good idea to sell alts for such cheap prices.
A lot depends on what you have alts, what their capitalization is and whether you believe in them. Statistics for the past year showed a huge increase in many alts, so I would stay in alts
