You must do your own research at first before you trust any online wallet because you're right, its too risky if you put money on that. I still suggest to have your own hard wallet for your future holdings and if you want a more secure wallet go for the top exchange which can give you good security. New wallets can be a burden to you in the long run, so hear the reviews and try on your own if you really want.

this is my reason why I don't like new wallets.
1. most new wallets are still under development, more BUGs and nothing is truly perfect or safe. unless they already have an official certificate for the project.

2. the majority of apps on PlayStore are very vulnerable to your data attacks, and some silly reviews like (I like a good wallet, this wallet is safe, and etc ...) that's just nonsense, they are one of them. be aware of that.

New wallet are need to test some few months if it's legit because we know some of them are possible fake and possible to know your priavte keys or can open your account without your permission and your coins will be lost for sure. Many people are really want trusted wallet and operated more than few years because for now It's hard to trust new wallet because we are scared to lost what we have.

Why do we have to consider "New Wallets" where in fact there is an "Old Wallet" that can be trusted and well established? We shouldn't take a risk choosing a new wallet with our funds, the significant role of having a crypto wallet is to secure our funds. If that offered by some new wallets the security, safety and trusted we are looking for, then we can still try to use it with small funds and give chance to prove them that they are worth to download and they can compete with the old ones.

When it comes to wallet I never trust wallets that are on play store I prefer my wallet on a desktop version for safety, I don't know if what you are saying is true, but I do have a lot of friends using android version wallet, but everyone should first diligently look for a good review of a new wallet before using.

Of course because that is a stupid decision honestly. In fact there's a lot of trustworthy wallet since crypto market become popular . So why you need to use another wallet which is new? .well only crazy ppl will sacrifice a money on that sh*t. An even we say its secured we still cannot ensure that is realy safe because mostly nowadays are lies and fake wherein just to convince users. .

That is why I only use trusted online wallets and wallet exchanges. I use the wallet app on my mobile only as a rule to join certain bounties which makes it the rule. Remember, be wise to install and download anything related to your funds, use trusted applications and extensions.

Maybe phone only for chatting or contact my friends. About wallet, i only use which already have reputation. Like Blockchain for BTC and another coins, and Myetherwallet for Ethereum tokens, or maybe waveswallet for waves tokens.

That's right, I also don't want to use a wallet on a smartphone in my opinion, it's not good but they think it's good because they use it often, which I believe is myetherwallet is very safe as long as the PK is stored properly.

I never installed new wallets from Playstore or downloading from the website because I don't see they have a reputation in the beginning, so I think it's better to install the recommended wallet that we know. But it is better if you can buy a hardware wallet which has a good reputation like Ledger Nano or Trezor, so you don't have to afraid of the thief. You don't have to move your balance in the new wallet, and better you don't installed the wallet if you don't trust the wallet company.

i'm not agree with point number 1, well many new wallet start from low number of user. it will gain when they can prove their work , trust , and solid developer. it just a times when they can prove that good work, the number of user will start to gain.

Unless they are run by trusted developers and have a lot of good reviews I will not be going to use a new wallet, it's a wallet and it's where you are going to store your funds so it's very important that it has a very high rating.

Yes you are right mate , many new cryptocurrency wallets have appeared in playstore and i do not think it safe to use them since they are new and not totally popular. As i learned about cryptocurrencies i always use only one wallet that is trusted and secured that until now i never change it. Myetherwallet is one of the secured cryptowallet that i know and i used.

You should always trust official wallets from the coin itself and never use 3rd parties wallet and you never know that you own your private keys for good. Better use exchanges beside those wallets , but those are never safe too but this is crypto and you should adapt so even ledger could have problems in the future.

In the first place, why we look for another/new one in which we already have the (most) reputable one. It is our self to blame when we suffer from losing our private keys and not by using those new wallets. If we are doubt of its credibility, it is better not to try them, in fact, there is no one forcing us to try those. I am using Electrum wallet for my BTC and I'll be using this until there is no change in its security. This is all we need "security assurance".
