Almost all new wallets, in the beginning, will only have low users.
But over time, of course, this number will increase with several notes, terms, and condition. That is likely a high level of security, system, effectiveness, features, and also easy access.

However, as many members here have explained, that not all new wallets prepare good planning. So they only create a very standard wallet, not even more interesting and convincing compared to existing wallet types.

At this rate, it is natural that many people lack confidence in new wallets.

Without a good reputation and it's a big risk to use a new wallet. That's why im always prefer using an old wallet with the new version that has already got a lot of improvements from the developer and the developer is a trusted party.
The new wallet can have a backdoor that can be used to steal our information like privatekey.
It's a wise decision never try to use a new wallet that has been made by an unknown party.

Just use the already existed and reviewed wallet. there's definitely no excuse as to why people still using a newly created wallet service while there are already some wallet that have existed for so many years.
playstore as a app market platform by google unfortunately is not that selective when it comes to something sensitive like this and people should give more attention to their security.

A friend of mine lost 1.5 BTC early this year when he downloaded and sent his bitcoin to a fake wallet with fake reviews on PlayStore. Never use new wallets unless you are 100% sure of its legitimacy. No matter how cool the wallet looks like, you never know the intention or purpose for creating the wallet.

Many crypto enthusiasts have lost their coins because of new wallets. Do not send funds to a new wallet unless it's proven to be credible and reliable. Some will do away with your funds and claim they were hacked. Some will even claim to give dividends for holding your crypto in their wallet, an example is plustoken wallet which was an obvious scam. Also, watch out for wallets apps which are fake copycats, especially when there is only a web wallet and the scammers take advantage of the situation to create a fake app wallet.

The reason why i don't like new wallets
1. They always have low users which means they have nothing new to offer, even if new users try them out, once they don't see any thing new they bounce back to their old wallet, repetitive at work

2. Many new wallets on playstore can't be trusted, they have different set of aims, some have access to your private keys but they will fool users thinking you are the only one in control of the private keys and some don't  give out private keys to users, they work as online wallet

This is one reason why newbies have to stick to the basics
There are quality crypto currency wallets in imtoken wallet and trust wallet ; you can also try coinomi too

Stuck to basics; no reason to panic

The truth is, scammers will always look for ways to defraud gullible investors and they don't sleep till they achieve their aim. Another truth is, most wallets on playstore are not to be trusted, even if one needs to download a new wallet, I think it's wise to check the project's website to see if there is any recommended wallet or asking the team of the project in question to see their recommendations. We have to take responsibility of the safety of our funds and the best way to get started is by being wise. Furthermore, am glad trust wallet, engin etc are now supporting many coins, we should always check them to see if our desired coins are supported.

With just using up our own common sense then we would definitely done the same thing.People would surely go back to the older wallets that they have known that being supported and been used by many with just having that basic thinking you would definitely do the same.We arent saying that new wallets doesnt something new to offer but majority of them are just tending to copy cat those older ones hoping for some miracle support by the masses and make themselves popular. As a users its just normal for us to look and use for the best ones but there are still people who are dumb enough to believe on these new wallets and later on they do realize that they were wrong but they do already lost up their tokens.

It is ridiculous to treat anything that concerns your funds with levity. Security of funds should be paramount and that is why you shouldn't go about downloading unverified and unrecommended crypto wallets. Please desist from such because you run a high risk of getting scammed if you do so

The only wallets I'd ever trust with holding even a single satoshi or coin of mine are established wallets with history, and even then I always go for cold wallets or airgapped computers first for longer-term storage. I use some Play Store wallets like Coinomi for use as a hot wallet so I can scan QR codes to pay and just pay faster overall, but there's just way too much risk involved with newer wallets.

Open source wallets are the best but i am fine with non open source wallets that are still fine like jaxx or copay, getting your recovery seed or private key should be the first thing to check out on any wallet and it is more safer to go with old wallets that are available for some time now

Why use new wallets at all if there are old ones checked by people and time. People themselves arrange their problems using third-party programs, importing their keys into them and storing money on such dubious software. Such risks are not justified. If you really liked the new application and you are ready to take a chance, at least make sure it is completely safe.

How did you know there are wallets who has the access of their users wallet with private keys?

I have download some of them such as coinomi and some tron wallet. It be best to name all these and provide proof too. Statement like this has to have proof if you really are concern about us.  You just scaring if you don't have any proof.

Presently i think ICO scamming tricks is suffering since no one is buying their scam arts anymore so now they are moving to building or creating app based mobile wallets, tons of these wallets are on playstore for android users who are new to crypto, i hope newbies won't fall for this, its better to keep using popular wallets like trust wallet or myether wallet

Yes, you are right. Many developers are trying to steal people's money by making a crypto wallet. Why we need so much wallet when we have already more than enough! Scammers are trying hard to make people fool again because their ICO strategy is dead now  Grin

We have to admit it that most of the new wallets can't be trusted. The developers of those are into stealing their users funds and yes, they have the guts to create an app and wallet just for stealing.
There are trusted wallets so why use a new one? just to experience and how's the feeling? I don't think that reasoning is enough for using a new ones, try the old ones that has been trusted and there's an active developers who keeps working for that wallet.

This is getting rampant. I have heard a few people complain about getting hacked after trying out some obscure wallets, downloaded and installed from Google playstore. I think newbies and even experienced crypto enthusiasts need to be careful with  how they download new wallet apps. Many of them are just created to steal your details once you enter them
