Yes, I agree in giving death penalty but to only those really deserve it like if a person has killed someone then they deserve death penalty but if the murdered person had done something terribly wrong to the anyone then they don't deserve death penalty.

I agree with the death penalty for the purpose of enforcing the death penalty for the deterrent effect of the serious criminals. From the humanitarian aspect, the death penalty is needed to protect the community from the actions of bad people. Although the life and death of humans are destined by god

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
Yes, I do. I think it is the only way to lessen criminality in the world because many criminals now does not have any fear even they will be imprisoned because they know that they will be free after the consequence or some criminals have money to be free again and they will do the same thing again. I am not against the law of GOD but if we are always pursuing the law of GOD many people will suffer.

If a person committed a crime prior to death penalty getting implemented then that person should, by the law, not get the death sentence. But if the government decided and informed the people that committing a specific crime is equivalent to a death penalty, yet the person decided on his own volition to still do the crime and take the risk, that person should be put to death as he still chose to break the law despite of knowing the consequence.

I agree with you. Death penalty is the most hard punishment that the government can give to a person. But I think death penalty should be given only to those people who committed a serious and massive crimes like killings and to terrorist group. Government should be a wisely because in wrong decision , one life can loss and it can't replace by saying sorry.

It's easy for us to talk about the death penalty while sitting at the computer and not having anything to do with the prison system. But we need to remember that we are talking about human life. No matter how bad a person is, he deserves to live and regret what he did.

Honestly, I'm quite torn about this topic. A part of me says that it shouldn't be done as it is morally wrong and that every person's identity is sacred. However, if a person chooses to malign and disregard other people's rights, then I think that it is also like throwing away their own humanity and morality by choosing to commit heinous crimes that hurt others.

death penalty is not good for us. the bible said that we should not kill one person because that is wrong. the only thing that can get our lives is the god above and he can only decide when and where must a people die

I think we should give them a chance if they do not do something too heavy, people can change, killing one's life is too cruel.
If they kill a human, they are worthy of death . That is obvious

Since this is like a debate religion is not quite helping. Personally I agree on the death penalty, because there are some crimes that can not be ever forgiven by man. Instead  of giving a lifetime in prison, why not just give them their own death fast and easy.

I don't want death penalty. Gods gave life to humans. We should appreciate the gift of God. Death penalty is not the solution for us to pay our mistakes. The government should not legalize the death penalty.

If there was a death penalty back when they were sending prisoners to Australia, we might not have had Australia as we know it now lol

There was death penalty back then. The deportation to Australia was an option which was reserved to petty criminals such as thieves and pickpockets. Those who were accused of major crimes such as murder and treason regularly ended up in the gallows. But then, the Brits should have left Australia to the aborigines. Right now the abos are less than 2% of the population.
