I don't believe in God not only because there is no evidence of its existence, but also because a lot of wars started for religious reasons and one is not punished is no God.
Belief in God is not a belief in a being, but a feeling that keeps a person within the human framework.

Some people understand that God exists, just like the person on the other side of the table exists.

Belief in God has more to do with accepting what He tells us as truth.

Where are the marching orders for God, that He has to punish anyone? However, haven't you noticed that people die? Especially soldiers in war? But their bosses in Congress die as well... sooner or later. So, God punishes.

The proof for the existence of God lies in these links:

The explanation isn't always the best... it will take some reading and thinking to understand that God exists... but if you are serious about the question, you will find Him.

Yes i do believe in God, Yet there are too many unexplainable things in or creations in this world...and i believe that the world we all know is not yet even half of the real world that God made.not all the things can be explained scientifically..For a modern world maybe its cliche to believe it but some people still believe in superstitious beliefs without scientific basis.. Grin Grin Grin Grin
Me too. I believe in 1 God. There are a lot of unexplainable things happened to me even his miracles. I believe we were created by him and every time I seek help from him, he always answer my prayer. There are a lot of evidences based on other peoples lives that God exists. God keeps me safe, he keeps me alive and that is a sign that he is with me and I don't question it. I always thank him for all the blessings I receive. God is everywhere, he is the only one who can judge us.

Why are not believing in 4999+ other Gods?

Atheists, like you, don't believe in 4999.  We go one step further and don't believe in the very last one on your list.

We believe in the rest of the gods. We believe them to be what they are... idols, false gods. There is only one real God.

Cool

And your proof of this is where?
When we try to impose on someone your opinion or religion, there are always arguments and quarrels leading up to wars. It is not right. Why can not we live peacefully and let everyone not believe or believe in what he wants. But no, you need to impose and otherwise you can not. Why do people do this?

Stockholm Syndrome.

Obviously, if you are not in a life threatening situation, you are going to believe whatever you want to believe.

When you ARE in a life threatening situation, you find that you believe all kinds of things that you thought you had talked yourself out of.

Stockholm Syndrome affects people so powerfully that they literally drop their beliefs, and believe whatever their captors tell them, just so that they can live.

Other than taking someone captive, there is no way to do much of anything to affect his beliefs. The thing that you are really asking, is to admit to your beliefs, rather than prove the facts.

What causes the 'cause and effect' to stop working in case of God?

Tracking any particular electron, to determine the causes that act on it so that it's motion is the effect, is difficult. There really isn't any way to determine all the causes.

What about all the rest of the electrons, and the protons, and the neutrons, and the electromagnetic waves in the universe?

Thank you for showing your silliness with regard to God. It helps to understand how ignorant you want to remain.

Cool

And your proof of this is where?

Put simply, cause and effect doesn't work on imaginary friends.

Now you are REALLY going off the deep end. Imaginary friends have imaginary causes and effects working on them.

But to have imaginary friends in the first place, one needs to have real cause and effect work on his brain's bio-electronics, thereby causing him to have imaginary friends. The same bio-electronics that caused him to have imaginary friends, is the bio-electronics that gives him imaginary cause and effect that works on his imaginary friends to animate them in his imagination.

You really need to keep this in mind while you're heading back to kindergarten to have another look at your imaginary friends.

Cool

I don't attend a kindergarten, nor pray to an invisible being, nor believe in afterlife.

Those who do, need psychiatric help.

I get my help from God. You won't even go to kindergarten for a little psychiatric help.    Cool

Talking to an imaginary friend about the one and same imaginary friend..... hmmmm???

Why are you calling yourself an imaginary friend? I in friendship am trying to get you to understand God so you can be saved. Now you call yourself imaginary.

Consider. A hydrogen atom is made up of a single proton in the nucleus, and a single electron in "orbit" around the proton. If you could enlarge a hydrogen atom so that it would be a tiny, visible, point in your hand, the electron would be whirling around the proton as much as 100 feet away. Empty space is in between.

The point? We all are essentially imaginary. Why? Because all the atoms exist like this. Most of everything that makes us up is empty space.

Only the spirit of God has solidity. Because we are the nothingness that we are, we understand solidity as the nothingness. This makes us to be denser than we really have to be, if you know what I mean.

Cool

Sorry, I am not calling myself imaginary. You are now making up more crap.

Sorry BADecker but your analogy is just utter crap. A better analogy would be: If your Aunt had a dick she would be your Uncle. But she has no imaginary dick, so she remains your Aunt. The rest is just nonsense.

If you have no proof of the existence of God then why don't you think that life on earth originated from space debris. Or the aliens came after the destruction of their planet. It makes more sense than the belief in the existence of God.

Ofcourse i believe in God.
God is the reason why im still here creating a posts here everyday.
To see is to believe that is the common answer when i interviewed  a non believers.
But when i said " did you see your breath, your mind or your feelings? ". They were stunned.
You are all mixed up. Religion says that everything on earth was created by God. So God being tangible. Where have you seen that man's feelings for example built a house? If you say that a person believes in a sense I would support you, and there is no God.
