Low cap projects could have much higher ROI as well as risk of course. During a bull market I bought some kinda shitcoins from time to time not from TOP-100 to have instant 100-500% of profit. But since the bear market has been started I don't see any sense to keep my investments in crypto at all.

No, I do not buy altcoins from the Top 100 to me because I think that this is a very risky undertaking and we will most likely lose all our money.

I just buy cheaper coin and they have many support at their website.iam never look how many rating at cmc or how their community.just buy cheaper coin at exchange and hold it
This is the worst strategy that you can choose for investment. the value of a coin is manifested not in its price at the exchange, but in its capitalization, the trading volume and the idea of the coin and why it is created. never give such advice. use yourself

if I buy coins that get a profit for me, so I don't think the top 100 should depend on the price or development of the coin

The risk is higher but also the return. When one not top 100 makes it to top 100, then you are making tons of money.

NYAN is way down the list, but we are doing big things with new mobile wallet being launched, updating everything, massive ad campaign next week and adoption in Bitcoin ATM's.
Don't ignore us little guys....we won't be little for long.

The risks are comparable to investing in coins from the first hundred Coinmarketcap. Fantom, for example, takes 366 place in the ranking, but the project in my opinion is promising.

If you want to buy an altcoin outside the top 100 on coinmarketcap, you need to understand that this decision contains a lot of risks. You should be pretty careful by selecting such tokens, because there are too much fraud projects at the moment.

Hey guys, do you buy altcoins which are not top 100 of Coinmarketcap? Isn’t it risky to invest in them? Want to hear your opinion!
The situation on the cryptocurrency market is such that there is no desire to invest in top-100 and top-10.  Yes, of course the price is now suitable for purchase, but hold is likely to be very long-term.  BTC strongly influences the price of altcoins, only a small part shows the opposite.  Most likely, it is better to invest in BTC and thereby reduce the risk of losing your funds to a minimum.

Good day. Yes I do buy and trade coins below the top 100 list on coinmarketcap. There's a lot of good coins there too and I know someday they will have more value. Coins don't go to the top list at once. Some would even take years of development before they reach the top list. You just need to monitor the trades and know when to sell.

I don't think so, I just buy in the Binance when I trade, I don't currently check if the coin is on the coin market cap, I just try my best to conduct a technical analysis of the atlcoin that suits my time, then proceed to order process after it. Just that, no marketcap, no standard because at the very first, I already trusted binance.

Very rarely, but such altcoins is sometimes worth buying if you see that the project is very good and is not a fraud. I think that 2019 will bring such projects, such altcoins.

Of course, i bought some of them in the past. And i can’t deny that sometimes i made very good profit from some alts. But recently i think everything is just so risky, i mean, i don’t even buy more bitcoin. I’m  just holding what i already have Cheesy

i guess so, im not really an expert day trader thats why im very much hesitant to buy altcoins that arent in top 100, im keeping my radar only for top 100 because thats what i think is the best options i had. But it doesnt mean theres no good altcoins outside top 100, there is, a lot of it.

Okay but what is your thinking process - best options mean best return from your investment or best options mean safe cryptocurrency with possibly good return from investment?

No, I'm afraid to buy such moments. It seems to me that at the moment the purchase of these coins can lead to losses. I am not ready to risk now.

It is foolish to follow only one list. Their rating is based on their calculations and beliefs. Sometimes you need to expand your boundaries in order to find and analyze other altcoins. Maybe they will become what you need.

I do purchase coins that aren't in the top 100 coins. As long as we could see the market trend, i believe that would be safe even if we purchase coins that aren't listed in the top 100 in marketcap.
Well at the moment I also think that no matter what altcoins you keep in a falling trend , I think if you like the project and you see the potential that can be kept at the next bull market, I think these coins will restore their value
