That not just because you are a gambler, you are not responsible for the things that you need to do. Just prioritize what matters most.

And show them that you are good in it especially in money management.

I don't understand why you have to be ashamed. My girlfriend knows that I gamble and even supports me with it. She sometimes advise me to stop in order to not feed my greed and thankfully she does, because it prevented me from losing more from what I lost. It's really sad to see people being ashamed. I guess you feel that because you are addicted to it, and still you shouldn't be ashamed. Instead, ask for help. They can help you.

We are now in the modern age, most gambling games now are modern too, unlike in the stone age where they play even by hitting a stone with another.

What I mean is, gambling now doesn't look like it anymore, though the concept of betting is still there, that is why gamblers of today are not ashamed about it, unlike before that it's too obvious (pertaining to gambling with cards and other stuffs like that and alcoholics which drink it anywhere) and religions are the ones making lots of law to follow.

Nope, I do not feel ashamed at all, I just gamble sometimes but not with high numbers and I think so now and than is not bad to do.

I don't expect gambling is a shameful thing. I feel good when i gamble.
Maybe i gamble because i need money, but sometimes i gamble for fun.
Then, I don't feel shameful for doing that.

you will be ashame of being a gambler if you are using money that didn't come from your pocket, like your parents money given to you for your allowances. if you doing that thing and didn't feel a little bit of shame, i think there is a little bit problem on that person. Being a gambler is actually a bad image because of money involvement but it is just a case to case basis because all people have different point of view in each situation.

They are right, and you know it. Gambling is really bad for you both mentally and financially. Mentally, gambling becomes your habit and you might end up considering gambling as your need. Financially, you're losing money and you'll continue to lose money in the long run. It's not about not thinking about what other people thinks about you but it's about taking care of yourself.

Because as a normal person, it's actually hard not to care about what others say to you. Your behaviour and pretty much everything about you is affected by the environment. You can pretend that you don't care but deep inside, it affects you.

these factors are more in such area where gambling is banned and consider as illegal activity. people in such area do not like to expose themselves that they play gambling because in these area those people who play gambling are not consider as good people.

Why would you care on what others might say to you? Life is short my friend, you should not be living others life. You have the freedom and use it all you can, you are even luckier because you are part of the community, most people here are very positive, so make yourself a positive person too.

You care from the same reason why they care. I am not saying whether it is right or bad, but it is true. People care about other people. People can make other people feel shame even though there is no reason why. And it is up to you how you deal with that then. And that's basically the point of my question.
