Then online gambling is really for you. Here you won't be judged by anyone but yourself. Just don't talk about it outside of the online world. It would be hard though, since everybody you will talk regarding gambling would only be online people. Gambling for fun is nothing to be ashamed off though. Shamefulness to me, is meant for small boys who engage in things that they might be spanked for and then the parents makes them feel the shame in other to stop a particular behavior. For me, what I am not able to do without my sole responsibility, I would rather not start it in the first place with gambling inclusive. So when I gamble, its my sole responsibility and nothing else and I also owe no one any form of explanation whatsoever.

I don't know how you feel, since it was illegal in your country and a against a rule in your religion, and yet it entertained you? If I where you, I won't gamble, I am sure you are not enjoying what you are doing since most of the time you are watching around to see if someone is watching what you are doing, that mentioned, I am sure you can't concentrate well... But to those who can gamble and not violating anything and is not attached to it, why be shy about your gambling habit?

Being ashamed is like we are doing something wrong, and I believe we do gambling because it's fun and we do not see this as a wrong activity in our life. We know the risk but still do it because we believe that we can handle it ourselves, there's nothing to be ashamed even if you are addicted, it's your life, we made mistakes and we have a chance to change for the better.

But it is gonna be a different story if people around you recognize gambling as a bad habit.
You will never feel happy share your gambling experience to someone around you.
All is just full of shame and alienated, i have experienced something like that before.

Actually there is nothing to be shamed of being a gambler, nothing is wrong with that if you can handle your self and you aren't becoming a burden to anyone around you.

What is shameful of being a gambler is when you are already pissing your family because of your habit, you steal money because you need to fund your bankroll, you got a lot of debt because of gambling and worst, when you look like an idiot and a different person from what you are before, we should be ashamed if that's the case.

There's nothing to blame but ourselves, it's our mistake for not treating gambling as entertainment, we just go on with what we feel without re-evaluating our performance in gambling. The outcome is worse because we do not bet what we can afford to lose, it would have been a slight problem even if we lose as long as we can afford it.

I agree they should be shameful because of their lack of self discipline and concern for their family. Being a gambler is something that should not be ashamed of as long as it does not affect one's life negatively. But if you lost grip of yourself then that is something to be ashamed of, not only in gambling but on everything.
