Poor or rich it doesnt really depend on what kind of situation of financial do you have since gambling is really design for all and designed for entertainment and i dont know why would people would be ashamed of playing it. Theres no point regarding on this question but possible thing that would be shameful if you got broke on playing excessive gambling.

I've never felt proud of gambling. Happy with a win, but definitely never pride. You need to work at something to be proud of it. You can't be proud of a welfare cheque either.

It is not new in gambling, every time you win good amount you can't deny the fact that you want it to broadcast to other people unless you are a quiet gambler.

And I am just proud gambler when I was winning but when I am experiencing lose, that's when I don't want to be called as gambler.

Because here in my place most of the people will just laugh at the misfortune of others.

Gambling is already considered as bad thing and illegal thing for to our leaders and root of our families we are just being greed and desperate with money that's why we are playing gambling. Im proud that im a gambler i will not hide that even my families telling me to stop coz it will wreck my life at the end.

So in your situation every one else thinks that you should feel shame but you are proud instead?

Of course not. Gambling for me is something i do in my past time and if i have a few money to spare. I don' t see anything to be ashamed of with that. Im not hurting anyone or doing wrong to other people. I think he ones who feel ashamed are those people that allow themselves to be fully consumed with gaming addiction that it already affects their relationship with their family and loved ones. As long as you know how to carry yourself and you have the correct outlook towards gambling, then there's nothing to ashamed of

As with everything, gamble with moderation. I don't give a f what culture say about it. If you want to play to entertain yourself, go ahead so long as you don't impoverish yourself in the process.

IMHO gamble for fun but find other ways of earning money. There are professional gamblers out there but they are not using their own money to play so they don't take a hard hit if they lose.

May be in some cultures and countries gambling is considered as bad thing, because gambling addiction can make a person to loss all he have in very short period of time.

I think many gamblers belong to wealthy family rather than poor, casinos are made for rich guys and you even can't enter in few casinos without proper suit.

Many gamblers try to hide their gambling addiction because if they expose themselves none of their friends or relatives gonna trust him with their money if he ask with them in future.

I consider gambling addiction as a bad thing rather than gambling, gambling can be good entertainment.

there is nothing about gambling itself as long as you are not using it in a wrong way such as wasting money or becoming a gambling addict.

And as long as you are not asking for them to le d you money for you to use in your gambling activity you dont need to be ashame and like what you have said just be very careful since gambling is really addicting just control yourself and treat it just a source of fun nothing else.

I understand this. I am not ashamed to be a gambler, but other people who don't understand and against gambling make you feel bad even if you are not ashamed. But if you don't mind criticism then that's fine too. I wouldn't worry about stranger's opinion, but if it's from family and friends that is a problem. They might think you have an addiction even if you only gamble so little and only for fun.

Yeah, you have a point, most of the countries are not allowed gambling, they government has announced that gambling is illegal, but instead of it, a huge number of people are playing it, like me. I am truly speak in my country gambling is consider a bad thing, and also i avoid it to play in casino, but i play it only on online. Because it is easy way to play gambling for me, and also i covered myself to feel shame that i am a gambler.

well i don't think there's anything to be ashamed of when you're a gambler. i mean it's a hobby for most and if you know how to handle yourself and your gambling methods then gambling is pretty harmless and is fun. although i understand how some people may think that it's embarrassing to let others know especially if they are investing a lot of time and money in it but hey, it's the same for me as having other hobbies that would take time and money as well like for example collecting items, or travelling, or going on parties and the likes. it's just important to make sure that you know how to handle yourself when gambling and that your family and personal life doesn't get affected and if you can do that then there's nothing to be ashamed about.

I do not feel ashamed to say I am a gambler! Because I do not lose tons of money in gambling. I just gamble what I can afford to lose. I only gamble for entertainment and usually I just lose around less than 0.01BTC in one sitting. I also rarely do gamble like once or twice a month so I don't lose much. I usually also get back my 0.01BTC or half of it at least.

I am not a shame of my gambling habits because some of my wins i gave it to my family but they don't really know how did i get that much income in the first place they thought that my job is one hell of a rich company because when i win gambling i gave my winnings to my mom only my mom because i trust her with the spending in the house and my but is cheap so i don't really give him big amount but they always tell me that do you play gambling? so i said "NO" because they are not a fan of gambling its just they thought its a sin because your playing money and money is not for playing its for hard work then i really got a shame of my gambling habits so i am shame and not proud of it Sad

but i intend to quit someday if i have a lot of money in my wallet Cheesy
