I agree that if you are tp visit a country or a place where gambling is considered illegal, you will be look down upon by the citizen in there once they new that you are a gambler. But being embarassed is relative. As long as you do not do anything nor practice your being a gambler in that place, you don't have to feel any shame because you are not breaking the law while in that place.

I see the shame being the gambling and loss of values being the shamefull thing rather than the money specifically.
Also agree that opening up is an antidote to everything that's bad about gambling-ego.

What could be something that we can hide in gambling? I think if you are matured enough to gamble you already understand what is gambling for and will never be ashamed because you are at the right age to do it. You can only be ashamed if because of gambling you have made things that are illegal and you started to let your life controlled by your gambling addiction.

That's a total shame for him, why? Because since he said that he isn't a proud gambler look at what his doing. He is just always referring to the giveaways that the casino's are giving just like those free ticket and free spins. He is just telling that what kind of person he is haha. The shamefull gambler only when I borrow someone's money and I can't return it for him anymore !

It's true, if I'm playing with my money, the money I earned and I want to use to have fun, there isn't shame on it. I would feel shameful if I would be using the money of another one to gamble without pay him back in case I lost the money. Some people try to criminalize gambling, but no reason to do it. Gambling can help economy a lot, if the country is honest, this money can revert good improvements for the country.

I want to tell you my story, I was a good student in college and had much more potential than what I always did in my life then I was introduced to gambling by a friend of mine and my life has become a disaster mate.

I am very shameful and rather regretful for my gambling habit cause it made a bright student into a average earner and a poor guy in the society.

Because in gambling no one questions where the money comes from. So people who get money from illegal methods just deposits the dirty money into gambling sites then they just withdraw it form the site and declare it as winnings. Hence laundering the dirty money. These are the people who should be ashamed to be gambling. Because they are not really gambling but laundering money.

No i will not be ashamed of doing gambling because the money i use when i gamble is coming from my hardwork which is my stable job and doesn't came from stealing or illegal money. Even if i gamble online, addiction to it doesn't affect me because i know how to manage well on my investments and i use bitcoin digital currency so that i can bet with small amounts and have fun. If you have done illegal money making thats the time you will be ashamed of and not the money that came from good source.

Yes it is your choice and no one is going to say that it is embarrassing to be a gambler. The only thing that a gambler be shameful is when he don't know how to settle things first before he gamble. Well yeah right and i think it is human nature but for me i just gamble without hearing from other people maybe here in forum if there is soem tips or any comment that can help to improve in gambling or to prevent losing sometimes i just follow it.. not hearing the judgement by people.
