it doesnt matter if you own 0.1 BTC or 10.000 BTC - make sure you do some research about security. you can use a paper-wallet or a hardware-wallet:

I've managed to make about BTC but its too tempting to not spend any of it once you start having more than one, so I always end up spending everything i make above 1 BTC. I tend to keep that BTC as the limit of expenses so i never go to 0.

I have 1.2 bitcoin.  I am surprised so many of you guys on here don't have at least one.  I would have close to 3 if it wasn't for gambling and one scam.   Cry  I try not to think about it.  The gambling gets to me but the scam doesn't since I was very new and it wasn't but 40 USD.

Yes, i have 1BTC on my paper wallet, into my safe deposit box in the bank, i hope it will raise and my future kids  may have benefits in owning a bitcoin     Grin Grin

Deposit Box in a bank??? Shocked
Not safe bro! Banks could forbid you to open it in the future and they might confiscate all inside of it. Remember greece a few days ago, remember Cyprus 2013!!
Dig a hole in your backyard or laminate your paperwallet and hide it under your pillow.Much more safe! Wink

Or do something like that ---> "DIY Bitcoin vault cube"

Haha, what is the purpose of that thread, maybe Op wants to find out who is big fish in our little fishtank and then hack our precious bitcoin away.
Well, anyway 1 BTC is not that much honestly. And yes, I have more than 1 BTC, I need it for my gambling purposes and to satisfy my online shopping mania.

I am saying that I always have 1 btc.
If I get any btc from signature payments, I throw them away. I send them to a random address.
If I ever get a payment from anything else, I throw it away and send it to a random address.

and are those random addresses owned by you? if it's owned by you then it wouldn't make any sense because you technically still own those BTC.. I just can't imagine why anyone would send their sig earnings to some stranger's address.

No, I don't.
I would have 1BTC, maybe more, if I wouldn't have spent it on a few alts.
I could sell and get the 1BTC, but I prefer to just gather slowly more satoshi until I'll get to 1BTC too.

I think this is a very important Question from an economic and accessibility PoV. A bitcoin is ~ $300 , if more than half of BTC users do not have 1 BTC+ , then it reveals a lot about accessibility of Bitcoins and the general economic stature of it's users. There were some numbers posted about which group holds the most BTC and i think that such information will help us make sense of the many issues BTC faces.

Yes.

To the newb OP, 1) you should have asked one of us to put up a poll for you, 2) there are polls like this that go beyond "yes" or "no" that you could have searched for, and 3) you should have put this in the beginner section (because it's probably a better topic for that group of members).

Can you please provide us a tally of all the votes so we know if more people do or do not have one bitcoin? Thanks. (if you can't do that this thread topic is useless)
