MEW or MyEtherWallet is still one of the safest wallet in the web browser. MEW requires various ways to be accessed before seeing what's inside the wallet. One good way to access it is Metamask that requires personal password. I still use myetherwallet and I don't think no reason to not use thus wallet because for me is safe wallet and from the hacker not easy to open my account there

I want to say if I continue to use this wallet. I am trying to implement all recommendations for security. I find it to be quite reliable and secure. It just does not have enough time to find a replacement for this wallet. MEW is very efficient wallet as it is very simple to log in and transfer of the funds. But, it has few limitations that it doesn't require any 2-factor authentication

Yes, I still use myetherwallet. Although there have been some negative news about it recently, I think it is still the best wallet available. There is no reason to choose another wallet. You also cannot guarantee that other wallets are absolutely safe.
for me MEW is still safe you just need to secure your private key and avoid visiting those suspicious sites that can be prone to phishing and update your antivirus. Bookmark those frequent site that you are visiting.

I still use MEW, but so far, although I'm always cautious, I haven't experienced any form of exception yet, but I also want to know that I can use other hardware purses as open ideas and changes.

The main danger when using MEW is a chance of providing your private key to a malicious site after which you immediately lose all your ETH and tokens. To avoid this situation you should always check whether a connection is secure by looking at the address bar.

Here's an example example of a phishing site were connection is not secure

I have easily found it by googling "mi ether wallet". That's what they do, they exploit your mistakes, so please be very cautious.

Also, apart from looking for a secure connection you have to double check whether the address is looking exactly like this:

https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Btw, I just checked, the phishing site in my example is the top one you see even when googling the write words: "my ether wallet" because that's a paid Ad. Thanks a bunch, Google!

Well said. Though I dont get the ad when I google that, it still goes to show the importance of double checking everything, the link, bookmark, etc. in detail

Those who have higher level of security still prefer mew. Those who have hardware wallets are still safe from phising sites. The mew developers are trying their best to make our altcoins secured and other ethereum wallets are doing the same too. Mew is special because you can store any altcoins that are erc20 and almost altcoins are erc20. Metamask is a good alternative for hardware wallet in terms of safety so try to install it.

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

I'm still using MEW as well, as long as you carefully and bookmark MEW site. I think will be okay. or you can add Metamask so will more safety.

In everything we do that with relation to crypto all are with risk behind our daily activities and maybe our own imagination too. MEW is one of the biggest wallet that used by crypto new members which have none enough idea about the wallet safetiness and security. I use MEW because I do believe that the team of this project are not stealers and scammers. They are trusted and have a good services to clients.

I am still using myetherwallet. I am still confident to it. And I feel secured even I have read that some are hacked.
Maybe because they gave their private key on some web. That will be the reason of hacking and losing of their tokens and valuable.
But if any other security is more secure, why not try it?

Yes i use MEW because the most bounty I joined required MEW to use. But even though they do not required it, I think I will still use MEW but not often.
The wallet I am always loyal is coins.ph because that is the only wallet that can convert bitcoin into Philippine Peso and now I love coins.ph because it we can now convert eth directly to Peso by using it.
