Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

In my case I have to admit that I will stop for a while.
When I see some crisis or a decrease of my salary (I have my own business), I immediately cut some stuff and gamble are one of the first I stop, like going out and trips too

So, what's your opinion?

I do stop and I guess the majority of us will stop, especially if the crisis is as proportionate like what we are having right now, we are first going to monitor what's going to happen, what will be our course of action and check if everything is all fine before we decide to come back from gambling, of course, we are going to check from time to time if everything is still ok

Its just really normal for us to do such thing or act accordingly into the situation where we do experience. We do have our own will and knowledge on
how to handle or react into things. Why would proceed if we do see it that it would really be a problem later on? Unless if you are addicted that much
then you wouldnt care on what would happen to your life and just proceed on things on whats up to your mind which shouldnt really be tolerated on.

In this crisis I avoid to go to casino. But I wanna play gamble on online. I think it is safe for me. So, in this case we can build up new casino sites and where we can gambling & I request to add more new features to online casinos that are active.

May I know what kind of crisis you are talking about here?

You want to avoid a casino but you want to play online instead? What's the difference? You are still doing gambling at the end.

And I don't understand what do you want to happen on your last line.
He do particularly talks about physical and online ones.He do avoid on going to crowd but still continue to gambling thru online.
I do see this as a valid point and nothing is understandable on here. For now we dont have any choice but to play online
if we do really push to gamble.

No I don't.

If we're talking about crisis in general it's no because I want to relax and not think about finances for a while. I hamble for the same reason I play computer games or watch movies.

If we're talking about coronavirus I don't care much for it. I'm young and healthy and I plan to stay at home for now so no viruses for me Smiley
There are lots of ways to entertain yourself or in times of being bored. Not only gambling will able to wipe out that boredom yet there are other indoor
activities will make you enjoy without going outside. Panicking wont help thats why we should think up clearly and not on a hurry to make yourself safe
from outside.

-snip- What's the difference? You are still doing gambling at the end.
Yep, it is no different. Both require funds to play. If he realizes in crisis or has limited money, it is better to stop both. Keep money for urgent or more necessary needs.

-snip- And I don't understand what do you want to happen on your last line.
Same here. He looked like writing in a bad way. The point of his statement seems unclear, so it is hard to understand. Let's wait for his response, he may have something as the reason.

In times of crisis no gambler will put into gambling his or her full resources to the gambling because of their responsibilities from families. Personally, during the crisis I won't get close to gambling machine because of my responsibilities towards my family, they definitely need me to use my resources for the progress of the family and not otherwise. During crisis, always stop my gambling because of its effect to harm the family, crisis are times we curb our essences in spending.

Absolutely yes, gambling is like a fun time or a source of income on other people, but the risk of losing is pretty big, For me, it's better to buy food, medicine, and other medical supplies. That is what we need right now, doing gambling stuff in a situation like this will not help unless you are lucky enough.

To my opinion the key is to find the balance. You don't have to stop gambling entirely but be aware when it's the time to quit and how much is reasonable to lose without having consequences on your finance, it's all about control.
I agree because while there is are tough times ahead there needs to be planning done prior to it but that preparation must not include abandoning your day to day hobbies/habits because that happens when you don't manage your finances properly. According to me there must be some reserve for everyone and in absolute crisis they must spend the reserve but in mediocre situations some good planning and little bit more control over your addictions and habits can help.

Personally I have never been in such crisis unless I call renting and housing things a crisis which to me is how life goes, no one ever gets a perfect life and things like these only shape us a better person overall.

Yes I stopped although I only gambling three times a week but i have to check the news every now and then on social media and TV and radio I cannot monitor what is happening around me if I am gambling because when I'm gambling I don't want to divide my attention.

In my case, since me engaging in gambling related activities has less to do with profiting than having fun. I won't stop just because of some crisis like what we're experiencing. In the case of the Corona virus, a solution involving me restricting myself from physical casinos can be deployed to avoid coming in contact with affected persons.

Cryptocurrency, smartphone and the internet has made it so easy that you can gamble without having to leave the comfort of your bed therefore gambling through online casinos can be used to replace physical casinos to avoid coming in contact with the virus.

That's right, we can still have fun despite of the pandemic that is happening globally, no threat on corona virus when we are just gambling online, and that is the beauty of crypto gambling. Maybe there's a problem with our income as it affects the economy but we have the government to aid us in case of full lock down, so while we are at home, we can eliminate being bored because we have crypto casinos to be busy with playing.
This is exactly my point. We don’t need to stop gambling because of this pandemic rather gamblers can continue enjoying the perks of gambling by using crypto currencies and internet. If you gamble more for fun than money, this indicates you are not in any addiction and are having good control over greed.

It would be better if we stop gambling for temporary because we need to save our lives first, and we need to secure our lives from the crisis. And with the Corona Virus in every country, we need to search how we can prevent the virus, and we need to make sure that we will be okay and not infect with the virus. But we can still play online gambling games if we want because we don't have to go to a physical casino and we can prevent getting infected in the public area.
Yes! Don't be part of the problem and stay away from crowded places and as mush as possible stay at home to prevent getting the virus. If your country don't have any cases then, you are lucky! you can continue your daily routine and you can play at public and physical casinos. But if your country have virus cases then, as mush as possible don't gamble on physical casinos considering that, you might get infected and that can harm your family. Gamble on home! or don't gamble at all if there's a crisis.

Personally, here in Philippines there's a several cases of corona virus, and our main cities get community quarantine to prevent the spreading. I stop on gambling and instead, I stay at home to prevent on getting the virus.

By crisis, you mean financial crisis or any global issue like coronavirus. I think it is natural that if you face any issue in your life, this will divert your attention towards gambling and you may not found gambling or anything interesting, unless that issue in your life is solved. Your life is badly effected by the concerned issue and your life routine may change as well because of it.
That's true you will take care first on what matters most in life until everything is stable, I have this thinking that what we have no wis the new stable and we will have to live with it, the difference of this virus compared to to other virus in the past is the fastest way it contaminate from person to person, and this is what makes it big deal.

I'm not sure until I'm in that situation.

It depends on where am I currently standing.

I don't know the actual feeling of being in a financial crisis at worst so I can't really say about what will I do if ever I experienced that. If I'm under big debt and I really need money decently as much as possible, I might consider taking the risks by doing gambling just to expect for a shortcut to have money since I really want it aggressively.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
If I were to answer this 10 years earlier, I might say I will not. Though, as of today, I can easily say that I will. Given that I'm already a family man Grin, I'll be prioritizing my family over my personal satisfactions. This I think is the smart way to save money, spending money only for the basic necessities.

Gambling industry will always be there, no matter what happen. This crisis could still be an advantage for these Gambling investor/owner, Given that there are still people who can't control there addiction and people that wishing for a Miracle to happen by way of gambling.
As your circumstances change then you need to change the way you manage your money as well, you are doing the right thing by prioritizing your family but there are also other circumstances that can change the way you spend your money and the current crisis is a perfect example of that, we do not know how bad things could get and the panic is slowly taking over the population and you want to have enough cash available in the case things get even worse.

Yeah, nowadays our world is facing so much crisis because of the COVID-19 that spreads throughout the world so that the bitcoin price is rapidly go down. But many gamblers are tend to play gambling because the price is go down. The bitcoin price now is so affordable that's why many gamblers are buying more bitcoin. I believed that as time goes by the crisis that we've face should make the solution to revenge the price of bitcoin again.

In time of crisis, its probably best to stop gambling but it will be with someone's perspective. There could be people who will gamble their last money hoping they will win their bets before finally stopping. The worse of course if he lose it all. The current crisis right now isn't yet turning to its worse so its still fine to play around as long as you are not breaking rules, making your family dysfunctional and most importantly you spend money that you can just afford to lose.
Actually there can be two types of crisis one is just financial crisis and the other is timing crisis because while it sounds simple but timing crisis can be really a big problem. For money crisis usually people go for all in and hope to win back like you mentioned.

But in time crisis when for example you are a student and you have exams next month then suppose will you be able to gamble at all? The answer is NO because you are in such a time crisis that you can't allocate enough time for gambling and there is no way you would be gambling when you have exams on the head.

I personally feel though that time crisis is something that can actually help you quit gambling for good while financial crisis is just a temporary menace which once gone you get back to gambling.

When we face a time of crisis from epidemics like now, gambling will actually allow us to eliminate stress and reduce everyday anxiety but we should not forget that this is a time of crisis and difficulty, money cannot be wasted like that, maybe the government will provide some economic support but can't rely entirely on them, sensitive times can only rely on our own. Stopping gambling is a good thing to do, it's too risky, trying to accumulate food and drinks would be more useful, if we want to make more money, put some in the crypto market is possible
