In future, it may be. But not now. The dollar is the world currency. All over the world accept Dollar. But a few country are accepting Bitcoin.
Well the subject as for "soon" means for future. In this sense, there is a chance that it can replace dollar soon as we can see that the demand in bitcoin is increasing which can replace dollar in its place.
Exactly, it is a country's own money and every country has their own while bitocin is universal currency but it's a
unique currency since it cannot have a value with the people spending their fiat to buy bitcoin.

Bitcoin can never replace a dollar, because it exists only on the Internet. If you create real coins or paper bills, you can already think about it.

I don't know if this article is legit or just some destruction in the internet: https://dcebrief.com/new-u-s-law-to-replace-dollar-with-bitcoin/ but in my own opinion, I don;t think bitcoin can replace dollars that easily. Not in 15 years. Too much to do, too much to adjust.

Bitcoin will not really replace dollars or other fiats that easily, not just in 15 years but in 100 years. Bitcoin is a good currency for the people, but with it's current state now, I don't think it will be a primary currency of one country. And if bitcoin will be a primary currency, replacing fiats, do you think all the people can keep up with it? Not all people are that updated especially about technologies.

Absolutely it won't replace dollar in our system of currency because fiat currency is so stable and at this time most of the people and businesses relied with dollar. It's so hard to let digital currency be at the system that exists from many centuries, specially that technologies of bitcoin can be so hard to adopt to people who are not yet open to it, and they are mostly hesitant to know. So  if there's a plan of the Government to implement dollar fiat currency be replaced, well they will finance most of the lower class people; they will be first to be affected with.

Fiat currency is so stable? Look at the currency exchange charts of last 15 years. how can you say that it is stable.
Once 1Euro was about 1 Dollar and another year it is 1,6 Dollars.
Chinese Yuan was week 1 year and we could order many products, another year was very expensive...
Australian Dollar was 50% more valuable and it was very expensive to import from there now it is cheaper..
Gold was 200$/ounce 15 years ago and 1800$/ounce in 2011
People could buy 10 breads with a dollar once and now just 1 bread...
Tell me please how it is stable?

i am selling and repairing cellphones. i know times that everyone was hesitating to buy a smartphone instead of an old nokia phone. But it didn't took 5 years even for 60 - 70 year olds to replace a it with a smartphone. once they didn't know what internet is and they were afraid of to open a browser from phone, now they are installing and using all kinds of application. people change.. faster than we anticipate..

I don’t think it will be happening soon. Maybe in the future it could be, but not other currencies. Right now, it only replaces dollar when it is converted, but Bitcoins is converted to dollars as well so the use of dollar is there.

And i don't think people will be used to amd agree to making transactions with crypto. There will be a lot of people who will oppose even the idea of this. We've been all using the dollar or fiat for suh a long time that having a replacement would most likely cause chaos. Especially if the one to replace it is not fiat. It will take a very long time for people to get used to crypto.

Coming from the coinbase CEO I wouldn't think this news is even NEWSWORTHY in the least, that's like asking the CEO of a gold company if gold is going to be able to help you in an apocalypse / economic meltdown situation. Obviously you know this person is going to stray a certain way in order to scare people or just simply get them to go along with what he wants, it's a pretty simple business tactic that anyone would use.

Plus, Bitcoin isn't going to replace the dollar UNLESS someone in the government wants Bitcoin to replace the dollar, or if the government DESGINATES that they want Bitcoin to replace the dollar. They're not just going to heed control over their economy to a decentralized group of people with a digital currency, that'd just be wildly dumb of them.

I do not agree that bitcoin will replace the fiat. I'd rather see bitcoin as an option for the fiat itself. Although the potential for bitcoin exists to become a global currency. But I prefer bitcoin to be a currency option. Probably for the stability of the world

Bitcoin will be a good alternative for fiat but yes it will not change or replace the current fiat system. But theres a chance if a supreme authority or body of government will implement and endorse bitcoin to the people.
If bitcoin has a unlimited supply then there is no doubt that bitcoin will replace the dollar currency because bitcoin is so advanced on its technology and a lot of people wants change and advancement and they can find it in bitcoin. Bitcoin has security, anonymity and also fast transactions and also affordable fees compare to the traditional remittances that we used.

Bitcoin is not able to replace dollar because of its natüre. You can add new features to bitcoin. That time, maybe it can replace dollar but America does not let this happen.
I don't think it will even happen in the future, dollar is a big currency and we cannot beat it.
The approval of the government is already a big news for bitcoin and makes the price rise, so what will happen if there is a bad
news regarding the actions of the government, it might become worthless.
What i believe is, dollar or any fiat currency will stay as well as bitcoin because they can't eliminate someone because they have their own purpose and we should respect that and as what i said, bitcoin has its own purpose and dollar can't do much about it so they will either work separated or they will work together to improve their selves at the same time.

A few centuries ago nobody knew dollar. British pound was the most used currency.
Nobody believed at that time that pound will be replaced by another currency. But it happened.
Nobody believed that Nokia will be replaced by some other brands 10 years ago. It happened.
There are hundreds of examples... and fiat money will be replaced by cryptocurrencies.
That also doesn't mean that fiat money will never be used. It will survive as long as the
governments collect taxes with fiat money.

I think even 100 years even though it will not make the fiat replaced by bitcoin. I think during the reign is still a role model. Then bitcoin will not be able to replace bitcoin. Because the government will definitely continue to use their own local currency

Yes, and this article is absurd.
How can a reliable and establish currency will be replace of a crpto currency. Can't imagine that even for some many years.
Dollar is a real currency and this is being controlled by the government. And it is use all over the globe. Bitcoin needs more
experience and proves itself to the market just to be equal or surpass dollar. Dollar is a fiat, bitcoin is not.

I really think that  there isn't a necessity to replace the dollar itself. I mean, we can certainly have all the currencies working very well, and if people have the right to choose what currency they want to use? Then no problem. What should be gone are governments forbiding their people to adapt Crypto-Currency. And let's face it, dollar is too strong and it will continue leading the world for quite some time.
Right, the dollar is very likely to get an upgrade and the people that spend Bitcoin will be able to exchange their coins for fiat much easier than they can right now. The dollar is likely to have a payment system developed within the upcoming years and the people that use it will have less physical dollars in their pockets.
