I really like virtual money. It`s easy to use it. But it will be difficult to use it for example in taxi.

It could be possible in the future, but I highly doubt that it would be soon. The thing is the United States of America will not just let any currency to overcome their own, particularly a currency that can only be accessible online.

I believe that Bitcoin's dominance is indirectly proportinal to the value of fiat currency. The sudden soar in pricing is a clear indication that fiat is really losing its advantage.

It makes no sense to make plans for 15 years, when the situation on both markets - of crypto and fiat money changes every hour. probably it will not replace it.
It is indeed that bitcoin will not replace the dollar because bitcoin is not created to be a primary currency of all the people and it is just created for the people to have an option in using currency. Bitcoin is a good choice to have some investment and also to have a great mode of payment while dollar is a must because it is accepted everywhere.
Agreed, bitcoin is just an ideal investment option, it provides us with a huge source of profits, however, we can not use it as a common currency because the value of bitcoin is unstable and people are still not clear about it, bitcoin is still very vague to many people. Conversely, the dollar is a common currency and can be said to be very popular and accepted anywhere in the world, the value of the dollar relatively stable, and it is supported by a powerful government, a prestigious and influential government in the world. So bitcoin will not replace dollars, it can not afford to comparison with dollars
Bitcoin has power to comparision with anything, it can does that! But remember, Bitcoin has power and the government accept or not are different problems. The American government will never accept a crypto currency can't give them any benefit to replace the strongest currency at current in the world.

from time to time, bitcoin is considered a promising investment tool. well, that's the reality. bitcoin prices to date have risen considerably. and many think that the price will continue to rise. therefore bitcoin is considered an investment tool, and can not replace the dollar.

well for me it will never happen because the bitcoin as we know it is digital currency while the dollar is what we can claim to use our bitcoins if the dollar replace there will be no more good thing that will happen, more people will just rally about it.

For me, bitcoin can’t replace the dollar. Yes, bitcoin is becoming very famous and expensive. But the acceptance of bitcoin is still low. The dollar is the most popular currency in this world, many people are using it in their daily lives, and many people are accepting the dollar. Even the bitcoin is the most popular digital currency he can’t replace the dollar because dollar or real money is one of the primary need of a person. Smiley

I think that within 15 years bitcoin has not been able to replace the dollar, it is still too early and it is not easy because the world is not yet fully acquainted with bitcoin. But nothing does not, something can happen.

Well, the article is very informative. I thinks it just suggested the writters opinion. I like the idea about "bitcoin, anything is possible. But as quoted with this part "The primary problem for bitcoin becoming a global reserve currency, besides its decentralized nature, is price/value volatility." yes, it is somehow true, until bitcoin can be constant the possibilty of considering it as a replacement of dollar. Buy as of now, dollar is still the major currency circulating in world. And it would be Still use worldwide til the time bitcoin will conquer the number one spot. (might as well valued in millions)

I always think of the relationship of bitcoin and dollar like this: I think Bitcoin is created to make a universal currency which is easily accessed by all and can be converted to desired currency anytime and anywhere. It is like having English as a Universal language where people can use it but they can not exterminate a foreign language. Just like bitcoin, it was created to be used by all and not to remove any currency we currently have.

i think it does not have to be replaced, it just has to be made obsolete.

This quote from R. Buckminster Fuller expresses this perfectly:

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete."

Sure not, they wont let it happen, though bitcoin might be easy to use, we still need cash. They wont let cash money vanish just because we acces the easiest way.

No. I don't think it will happen soon. At least for now, when we use dollar to evaluate the price of bitcoin... dollar will rule for next pair of decades

Bitcoin is a digital money and dollar is a fiat currency. They are different and no one replaces the other.

I think the question is when or if Bitcoin will replace the dollar as an official international currency. I think it's possible. However, first must happen the general acceptance of cryptocurrencies as a fully-legit payment instrument. Later it will be easier. I think it can happen in about 10 years.
