Currently, I personally have doubts about the adequate evaluation of rating sites, because for which project do not look at all the best ratings, I will not be surprised that the rating companies overestimate the evaluation for a fee!
I think it's no secret that many projects are paying for their PR. this is on the 1 hand, the sad story on the other hand gives the project the opportunity to collect the necessary amount.
The ico rating site can be good information, but you also need to conduct a study on the ico you want to buy. Ico is more risky, and you need to be careful in investing.
I'm trying to well analyze information from such sites, since with the experience you understand that if you trust, you must still understand that 100% guarantee will never be.
many ico registered on the ico website doesn't match reality. some ico with high ratings, in the end, they failed to reach softcap. you better see their team and whitepaper. rather than having to see the ico site that sometimes doesn't match reality.
thats because they are paid promotion and not really an ico that's rated high because of the project is good, assure me that most of the ico rating sites right now are just bunch of designated advertising spaceand rarely of them is a real ico rating. you pay them some amount of money then you will have auto 5-star ico rating and that's just ridiculous.
For me, any project need high rating. First, anyone is interested if seeing well rating. The absolute number will make an best impression so several project required bounty participants rate 5 stars in social medias. Similarly, as ICO Rating sites they can be paid to rate, so ICO rating in these sites show they have a lot a money. 
ICO rating can help us in choosing a good project. But it doesn't promise us if the project will succeed in the end. Some ICO rating after being listed in a good rating, does not mean that the ICO is silent and does nothing. I believe that every ICO rating is a good ICO. But look for ICO with the best strategy in promotion and solid teamwork.
Well, looking at what ico , now there are a lot of them , and it is always difficult to choose sometimes a good project with a view to itself turns out to be a Scam
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

I when choosing IO for investment never saw their rating, hahaha .. I always do research and focus on the projects they do. so I never thought of seeing their rank.

I don't trust them. It is better to create your own table and evaluate the projects according to your own opinion. At least this way you can learn to be independent enough to make their own decisions.

Let's put it this way. I am using sites related to the ratings or popularity of cryptocurrencies but I am not relying myself that much into it. It is just a matter of additional information when making decisions articularly on way hard to predict market. Also, things are not always accurate as what you've mentioned so we should not depend that much. With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?
ICO rating is helpful to those people who wants to invest to ICO because big chance to become successful the ICO because they are in the list of one if the best ICO but it doesn't mean it's not danger because all of ICO are possible to become scam and failed and no one knows about that.
The common trend with most ICO rating sites is that so much projects get high ratings which makes me wonder if they even do any research at all before putting upbratings or do they just get paid for those ratings. Anyway I do not totally trust them and always research myself most times.

Each of us has own opinion and stories about ICO ratings. Personally, I consider them very subjective. There are many examples of rating's falsification. I think almost everyone has heard a few stories about ICOBench and others. I understand that this is a business, so be careful.
Not so recently. After all, we can not always see reliable information on the site. But for example, read the ratings on the forum. This is different. Therefore, I advise on forums before investing. It's my opinion.
completely disbelief. because every ico review from a different source results are not the same.

Many have to be considered if you want to invest in ICO, I think rating ICO is not good factor to identify the good one.rating on the Website is only one of them, the most important is the team and WP of the project.It is easy to promote and create a fake one.
I do not really trust any ICO ratings. Before investing your money, you must additionally do your own research of each project.
Ew. You should believe in some info on ICO websites. They are really helpful if you do your research from those website. Of course, you just should trust about 60%
