Simple teleportation would be enough. Saves me time, can travel the world more, start a business with it, can get me out of life threatening situations. Practical and not too much downside.

I would like anything related to mind and mind control, including but not limited to:

mind control(like the demons do with people in exorcism movies, but without destroying the "target")
mind reading
create illusions
see what people are feeling and their weakness and fears
see what people are hiding in their minds
make people fell, think and do wharever I want them to do

then in like one week I would be the emperor or the world

Either that, or dead.  Tongue

I guess you should make sure those are area of effect spells, so you can handle angry mobs coming for you. And be wary of snipers...  Grin

Come on really what if Usama Bin Laden had powers, ya people not thinking realisticly.  Things could get really bad.  Villains, if there is a good there can be a bad and we know in the real world evil wins alot

Well the question is : Do You want superpowers?  not: Do You want everybody to have superpowers?
As for myself I would go with the "seeing future" superpowers.

The Next Generation = Yes
season, episode =

 Season 2, Episode 16

Q throws the Enterprise into uncharted space where it encounters and is engaged by a vessel of a previously unknown species: the Borg. When the vessel instantly and effortlessly overwhelms the Enterprise, Picard realizes that the Federation may not be as ready for the future as he thought.

Here we have the first mention of The Borg, and their introduction is admirably mysterious. At the time I was rather annoyed at the lack of info, but over time I came to appreciate it. Their subsequent presence in the series is strengthened by their first appearing like this."

Ah, I'm sure I saw that episode, some 20 years ago or something like that... but I didn't remember that scene. Thanks for bringing that up.  Grin

Personally, I kind of liked the abrupt introduction, and how "different" the Borg seemed at that time, compared to the other more traditional species. And it also left you wondering why Q had done it in the first place: was it a creative way to get rid of the Federation, or did he have some ulterior motive for doing so?

Next Generation was such a great series.
One of the best things they did was kill off Natasha Yar early in the series:

It's really unusual to kill off a major character in a TV series (at least back then it was), so for the rest of the 7 year series, any time they were in danger the chance of someone actually getting hurt was more realistic.
That's one thing about Star Trek, it needed to be more realistic sometimes.

Tell that to the guys in the movie Jumper (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489099/).  Grin
EDIT: though his idea of starting a business was robbing banks, so there's that...

Starting a business as in deliveries to remote locations, urgent documents, import and exports... That sort of stuff. I know you are thinking of smuggling too, but I am not  Wink

I will use my powers to form a company with same hour shipping! Good bye FedEx, UPS and the post office! Will deliver miners on hand, no pre-orders.

When you click on pay, your miner will be at your doorstep by the time you get there. Forget cloud hashing. Keep the miner.

Back off Q!!

She has amazing powers that are hinted at and never shown or explained.  Smiley

Though why anyone in the Q Continuum would be in any way intimidated by Guinan is never explained. Obviously there's more to her species than we ever learn, but unless she's omnipotent, there's no way Q would act the way he does here. Sure, Q exhibits many petty quirks and inconsistencies, but... come on. ~source

Eh? I think I missed that episode.  Undecided  Is that from The Next Generation, and if so, what season, episode?
