Whether you want to be a trader or a bounty hunter, you can do it in your spare time, because the rewards of the current bounty mission are very unstable, and the price changes in the market are also very fast!
Crypto trading might be considered as a good profession or good generating activities for income, because trading is in buy and sell scheme, so the trader should be a skillful in making its decisions so that their could be no lost of capital in your investment ,so trading can be considered as income generated work in the cryptoworld.
Of course trading is a good profession. It allow to earn a lot of money and gives people additional opportunities. But you should be a professional like in any other sphere if you want to be successful.
Trading and Gambling, both profitable and deadly, there is no guarantee that you will get money here.
I won't talk much about gambling base on what OP is asking, he's only interested to it so I'll discuss what I can say to his question if he should start himself as a crypto trader. To OP, you can start it but don't rush about the big profits, take step at a time and learn the basics. Questions like that do exists makes you aren't really good enough for now but only time will tell on how you are when you are ready for it. Experimentation, experience and learning from others will make you a good trader and if you are really decided to this and want to make as a profession, expect downs many times and you have to learn on how to control your emotion.

Money is lost only by those traders who do not know the crypto currency market and how it functions. First, study the market and learn how to analyze it. Watch the news and start trading small amounts in order to learn how to control your emotions.

Crypto trading can be considered a job if you have the skill not to lose your money. Like you said, people make good money but people also lose good money. So it's up to you. My advice , take the time to hone your skills through some dummy trading without actual money and see how well you do. when you feel confident enough, you can kickoff trading for real.
Crypto trading is a very hard jobs to be consider as a good profession. You need to have good knowledge and skills to be a better traders. Furthermore, its not easy to be profited because its risky procedure putting some investments and in trading coins for the better future.

We cannot mark it as a 'good profession' because of it volatility but obviously it is a very good mode to earn some extra. Crypto world is interesting and I hope you'll enjoy being a part of it . I will never suggest you to opt it as your main profession.
basically, before do trading we must really learn it first, so we can do it properly. trading is not an easy thing, we must be able to read the market well and also analyze it. we also cannot rush into making decisions. but if we can do it well, then we will get a big profit from it.
