In my opinion, a no, because if Cash will be extinct because of the wide use of cryptocurrency might have a bad effect in both the people and the economy. Maybe because most of us, the consumers, rely on cash in our daily transactions. I think some think that Cash might be extinct because who wants to have a currency that have a big chance of losing it because we keep it manually, rather than this cryptocurrency which are stored safely which remove the possibility of getting lost.

Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

Yes, sooner or later cash will be gone.

If you look at the Netherlands for example, they barely use any cash anymore. Everything is paid via the wireless card everywhere.

Only on rare occasions do you need cash.

i don't think that CASH will be extinct there are still plenty of people who would love to used CASH rather than CASHLESS and still there were people who don't know how to used crypto money and don't have any idea about it. for sure there were people will not allow this to be happen just like the poor countries and also for me this will be a long process if this will be implemented.

It is not that easy as we think. Cryptocurrencies will undergo so much ups and down. Because they are still in the first stage of development with lots of improvement to do. But getting in a cashless society will surely happen.

The sweden model is a freedom nightmare, as it means absolute control by central authority.
It means that terrocrats will know all of your expensens and - in every moment - you can lose the possibility to use your money.

I think cast will not be extinct or removed , yes it is good to become a cashless society bit it have a disadvantage on many people who don't know to use a crypto money .And also not all translation is recommended to pay a electronic money . Also poor people are the most affected if cash will be extinct in the market .

I don't think so, bits of decentralized characteristics decided the COINS will not affected by government intervention, the implication is that if there is no cash, so many countries of the central bank cannot control the country's economy, so I think, there will not be without cash, this is my personal point of view!
Even if cash is going to be extinct, I don’t think Bitcoin will be the replacement for it. And cryptocurrencies doesn’t seem to be something that’s meant to last, from the way I’m seeing it, they’re just investment that will last for sometime, and not forever. But I’m not trying to say that Cash will go extinct.

Well I don't really think so that cash will gonna be extinct in the near future because there are many places in the world that still don't have any internet connection so that crypto currencies may be able to exist and evolve to their society to become as their currency and not to mention that there are also some countries as of now who banned the used of crypto currency maybe to prevent it from being used in money laundering or to anything which is against the law.

Cash extinction? This is likely to be achieved. The precondition of the extinction of cash is the rapid progress of science and technology. Only when technology can fully meet all the requirements of electronic payment. Cash can be eliminated. This reform may soon come. The digital currency we have joined will also grow stronger with the times. Look at the digital money, join in!

No it can't be. How about poor countries do you think they will agree with it. Maybe in some places only, that is so progressive.

Moreover it could be only possible if a country adopt it. If they agree. But how about people don't have internet, how could they their bills, buy food and buy their wants. Maybe could only reduce cash but to extinct it, impossible.

I think it's possible but this will not happen in our generation, probably when humans are already technologically advance and daily life is inconvenient without it.

Despite electronic payment’s gains, it would be a big mistake to count cash out of the economy. Some people simply prefer cash or rely on it for budgeting purposes or to control overspending. Moreover, cash still tends to be the most efficient payment instrument for low-value transactions.

I'm not so sure, but cashless society with electronic money controlled by governments seems to me a dictatorial nightmare.
I think that in this case lot of people will go back to barter, just to escape to fiscal control.

No. Cash will continue to be used, maybe only the user who slightly decreased. We still need cash for some cases or transactions.

It is very difficult to replace the function of cash. Many small traders use cash, it takes a long time for all merchants to understand the digital money system so that digital currency can replace the function of cash.

It is about time, I told you guys! Digital currencies are about to take over the universe because the paper money is just outclassed. Governments around the world were always talking about the cashless economy they don't really have the working system of cashless economy until now when Cryptocurrency emerges.

depending on each country whether the country wants to destroy paper money or not and use bitcoin into its currency, if in case of wanting to destroy this paper money could have an impact for the country's economy, because paper money is the hallmark of money in every country and paper money is also a more efficient form of transactions than electronic payments.

It's quite hard to get rid of cash since it's been around for a very long time. That type
of change would be troublesome to society and the economy as well. I believe cash will
never be extinct, Cyrptocurrency is very appealing but it's also a representation of actual
money. We all still depend on tangible currency. It's optional to say the least but inevitably
cash is still permanent.

No cash cannot become extinct at any cost. The cash is being used by the whole of the world. All the transactions are done by cash only and is accepted internationally. It is stable and under the control of the central bank.So the central bank takes all the possible measures to maintain its integrity and power over the cryptocurrencies.Cryptocurrencies are very risky we do not have any account of them while storing them or having a transaction.

It is not really good to get rid of fiat cash and have only crypto-currencies as a payment options, it is always better to invent more innovative and alternative payment solutions in the long term as this would always benefits everyone in the long run, having more choices is better than limited choices whenever it comes to payment solutions.
