For the past two years doge has been one of the  familiar altcoin in the market. I think since the beginning of this year this is the first time I started to hear about it again especially on this forum. I am also hope that doge pump Up like it has been since the beginning till when the price now remain stagnant.

If I have like less than a few hundred in BTC on Bittrex, I tend to convert to DOGE as the withdrawal fee is like 10 cents compare to $5 for BTC.

Hence there is a use for it.

Yes.  Most people use it for micropayments, tipping and moving money for very low fees. It has a well-defined niche.

I think doge is dead and you should better invest in some altcoins with more structure and a better team behind it. I dont think that doge will survive if youre going to plan with it in long term. I just traded doge one time and flipped it with a double while a hype. Never touched it again Cheesy

Doge used to be one of my favorite altcoin but it seems that it's not gonna recover to it's former state.
Is their hope for Doge? What can you say about the big drop of Doge?

There's always hope about Doge, every coin has their own future. We all know real market can't predictable and also price action . When a coin has low price or even scam ( trash ), no ones know when and how. Keep going with your strategy and I believe every investor/ trader has stop loss. When reach stop loss just let it go and find another coin. Simple and easy like that. Never lost faith with doge, this coin will survive like xrp, xmr or even eth ( private opinion ). Thank you.

Doge is never going to be a real contender in coins, but will last a long, long time. It's been around too long to where people will always trade it hope for a future. It's got too many drawbacks, mainly of which (imo) is the huge supply that keeps growing pretty quickly.. seriously, 110B growing by 14M per day? Those are tough odds to go against it going to 1 sat eventually.. yes, that may be a long time, but the bottom is the bottom unless you want to keep up with serious inflation)

Not sure I understand the first response comparing to XRP/Ripple. That coin has huge volumes and a diminishing supply as it's consumed/used. Would much rather put money into that, though I don't own any now.

I bought doge coin and decided to sell it after a few weeks. I didn't have all the patience, its value wasn't showing any sign of increasing anytime soon. I ended up thinking that I was going to lose on my investment. Its a good thing I sold it, but I still have the wallet. Probably I might decide to buy it some months later, if it serves me well. Its not a bad coin at all, and it won't die now.  Wink

Doge never dies dear shibe. Doge just move back to 20 sats and get pumped hard over 100 sats.
Doge always have some value and speculators love Doge. Everybody get paid some, better watch out carefully. Buy when the time comes, sell for at least 5x. Smiley

I don't think dogecoin is a good investment. But it is not a dead coin. Dogecoin is always useful as an old and promising coin with low fees.

For investment yeah it's not recommended, I have been watching doge for many years and the price doesn't change too much except the pumps that took the price at 100+ satoshis when comparing with the current exchange rate is 40s. The price doesn't change too often and there is no much room to make money except if we invest in long term which is riskier than any other top coin on the exchanges.

Dogecoin is one of the oldest altcoin as far as I know and I remember when Dogecoin was really "trending" because of their popularity their community which was interesting but I'm disappointed that DOGE couldn't go higher like ethereum which was introduced later and got the popularity which we have seen today. I think doge is not dead, it's in ~Top35 in coinmarketcap.

In my cryptocurrency dictionary, I recognize Doge as major coin. As according to market, all major coins never die. They just fluctuate up and down periodically. All depends upon investors, how they gonna react for particular coin. Now consider Lisk. Coin went to 0.0015 BTC in May from 0.0003 but then suddenly dropped to 0.0006 and was stagnant there for 4 months. But once again suddenly rose to 0.0014.
So all we need is to wait and Doge may strike 150-200 again!!;)

if it's about the price I think it's true the doge is still far away with bitcoin even though there is a possibility the price of doge can go up but not in a fast time, I also do not understand why the doge is said to be dead whether because now altcoin is down.
I think this is a natural thing because every altcoin will definitely experience something like this  Roll Eyes
