Trump announced in this speech that he will fire uncle Gary if he is elected president. It was cheered very loudly. However, do the people who listened to the speech not know that the SEC chairman cannot be fired by the president? This is headshaking. Trump also declared that the bitcoin community is full of high IQ people hehehehehe. More vigorous headshaking hehehehe.

Of course he can't do it alone. Only Congress can fire Uncle Gary. If Republicans manage to get ahold of both chambers of Congress, firing the SEC chairman would be a piece of cake. The many promises Trump has made to the crypto community, tells us he's desperate to win.

It will certainly not be a piece of cake. This is very headshaking how you say it will be easy hehe. There should be a good cause to file an impeachment against uncle Gary. Did uncle Gary commit high crimes and misdemeanors? Did he accept bribes and did he commit treason? How can you impeach him? I am quite very much 100% certain Trump cannot fire uncle Gary. Also, Trump is not desperate because he's the leader in the polls and the surveys.

Between Harris and Trump, I think Trump is the best choice for the crypto industry to thrive in America (regardless if he is making false promises or not).
After four years of failure from the Democrats party and Biden President, it's time for change.

Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden.

The "change" your are talking about is Bitcoin dropping in price by 95% because Trump wrecks the US economy with his radical policies and makes Bitcoin unsafe to invest because he lets all of the crypto criminals loose when they donate to his campaign.

Vote for Trump if you want abortion to be illegal in the USA, and want to watch the US create the largest new police state since the 1920s in order to enforce that. But voting for Trump because you think he's going to raise the price of Bitcoin is... a false premise.

I believe many US people already saw that is time for change, after the failed assasina* on Trump and how media, Google are manipulated news, search result on Trump, to support Kamala Harris illegally. I said, illegally because these companies did not mind to explain it is because of bug or anything. They continue to distort search results in an unbelievable way.

We all know how the current Biden administration has been against crypto since day one. Tightening regulations forced some companies to move away from the US. Bitrrex, and Binance are one of them. With a crypto-friendly administration, the US will be able to position itself as the leader of Blockchain tech worldwide. Perhaps the best is yet to come?
Friendly or unfriendly for blockchain and cryptocurrency, with big economy, the USA. will continue to have big impacts on this industry and market. As a Bitcoin investor, I want to see change, and more friendly administration on blockchain and cryptocurrency in the USA next four years.

We cannot be certain if this is only a rumor or the rumor has a real source of truth, however, Jamie Dimon as the secretary of treasury will certainly show that Trump will break his promise on bitcoin. If Trump will choose the new mayor of bitcoin Larry Fink, I reckon that this would certainly pump the whole cryptospace.

In any case, we will only know this after the election if Trump will win on November. I wish it will be Larry Fink hehehehehe.

Trump Denies Considering JPMorgan & BlackRock CEOs For Treasury Secretary

In a recent post to his Truth Social platform, Donald Trump has denied considering JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon or BlackRock’s Larry Fink for US Treasury Secretary amid his bid for reelection. Trump had been linked to both men during his campaign, but he set the record straight on the rumors Tuesday.

The contrarian in me is thinking that this might be a sell the news occurrence on the day when Trump speaks in the bitcoin conference in Nashville. I am not quite certain of this, however, this is my speculation. If everyone begins to accept that a storyline is real, this begins the weakening of the storyline. There might be a Trump dump on July 27. But there will also be a recovery after this.

Donald Trump's impending appearance at the Nashville Bitcoin conference has traders preparing for fat-tails – extreme or unusual price movements in the leading cryptocurrency.

Activity in the options market listed on Deribit and tracked by Amberdata shows a noticeable increase in the "butterfly index," which measures the volatility of the out-of-the-money (OTM) 25-delta (∆25) call and put options listed at a distance from the going market price of bitcoin {{BTC}] relative to at-the-money (ATM) options closer the spot price. The spike in the index indicates expectations for more extreme market movements.

"This week we’re going to hear Trump speak at the Nashville Bitcoin conference. As long as Trump remains a front-runner, this is a potential catalyst for 'something to happen' this week. The derivative markets seem to agree, and we’re seeing pricing support the 'something is about to happen' narrative." Greg Magadini, director of derivatives at Amberdata, said in an email.

Hehehehehehee I am very much aware that Sam Bankman Fraud, who was one of the biggest Democrat supporter was imprisoned.

Yep, under Biden, SBF was put in prison. That's because Democrats believe in the rule of law. It didn't matter than SBF was a Democratic donor.

Trump, meanwhile, pardoned many criminals in his presidency that were Trump donors.

There's no "both sides" to this.

However, there are very much many crooks who are also behind Biden hhehehe. One of them is a small crook called the Sam Bankman Fraud who was one of the biggest donator to the Democratic party hehehe.

SBF was put in prison under Biden.

Democrats are for law and order, even if it means their own donors.

Meanwhile, Trump pardoned anybody who would donate money to him, including Bannon, who was convicted of ripping off.... Trump supporters.

Democrats are for law and order, and Republicans favor corruption.

It was also speculated that the billions that were sent to Ukraine were laundered in FTX and this was sent back to America. But if the argument is it has not been sent back to America, we can be quite certain that there is a chance that the Ukrainian politicians have gotten some of this.

Gee, if you listen to the Kremlin I'm betting you'll hear all sorts of things about Ukraine...

Quote

I am not arguing that there should be no support for Ukraine. I am arguing that the crooks are everywhere and we cannot accuse that only one side is dirty because Biden might also be supported by the biggest crooks.

There is no evidence that Biden is "supported by crooks".

Trump has been found guilty of criminal behavior in a court of law by a jury of his peers.

Hehehehehehee I am very much aware that Sam Bankman Fraud, who was one of the biggest Democrat supporter was imprisoned. However, he was still one of the biggest donors of the Democrats and if he was not exposed from his scam, this would certainly would have continued and his donations would also very much certainly continued heheheheheheehhehh from a crook.

In any case, this is a useless argument because Trump and Biden are crooks who are supported by crooks. I only want the pump on my cryptocoins. If this is the Biden pump or the Trump pump, I do not care. Presently it is the Trump pump hehehehehehhe. It has begun.

He will be as close to a dictator as the US has ever seen.

Maybe the US needs to see it.  Fucking idiots have forgotten what Fascism looks like and why people have fought against it.  Maybe they deserve to experience it firsthand for a while.  Learn the hard way.

The rest of the world is going to grab their popcorn and watch America burn.

Yeah, except that the USA is not some minor country that you can just ignore. We have more nuclear weapons than any other country and the most powerful military in the world by far. And the world economy still hinges largely on the USA. If the USA stops protecting Taiwan, then Taiwan falls to China. If the USA stops protecting Europe, then Europe falls to Russia and its 3000 nuclear warheads.

When Germany and Italy experimented with fascism in the 1930s, they failed because of... the USA. The reason why all of Europe wasn't "eastern Europe" e.g. "behind the iron curtain" was because of... the USA.

Unlike almost any other country in the world, it's not "funny" if the USA falls into ruin because it will take the entire world with it. You won't have popcorn because the global infrastructure that brings you that packet of microwave popcorn won't be available anymore--nor will the power to run your microwave for that matter.

I get your sentiment and feel that way sometimes too, but sadly, nobody will be safe if the USA falls apart...

Trump has learned that he can be a criminal and Republican voters don't care,
It's not that they don't care, it's just that they are brainwashed to think those are just accusations by the "establishment" against Trump (someone they think of as a savior with all his empty MAGA mottos) just because he goes against the "establishment".

P.S. Speaking of Fascism and dictators it is worth knowing that Nazi party came to power because of the economic failure of Germany and the more the "establishment" failed and the more economic hardship grew, the more power this radical party gained.
USA is a failed system as well with the ever increasing debt, political isolation, war crimes around the globe and more. So it is not surprising to see people being tired of the "establishment" and look for a change. A need that is obviously exploited by radicals like Trump...

It appears that after having Larry Fink as the new mayor of bitcoin we might have a president of America that will be supporting bitcoin if Trump gets the victory on November hehehe. This is certainly shocking and very unexpected. I did not know bitcoin and the cryptospace would bring him much votes because why is he doing this if this is not a trick for bitcoiners to vote him?

Former United States President Donald Trump and the leading Republican candidate for November’s election appears to be warming toward Bitcoin  BTC +1.25% , having been critical of cryptocurrencies in the past.

In January, Trump said he'll “never allow” central bank digital currency issuance in the U.S. if elected. “Such a currency would give the federal government, our federal government, absolute control over your money… They could take your money and you wouldn’t even know it was gone,” he warned at the time.

In a recent town hall on Fox News, alongside South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Trump was asked if the next logical step was for him to embrace Bitcoin, given that it’s decentralized, the government can't get its hands on it and all the young people who are particularly interested in it, host Laura Ingraham suggested.

“I always liked one currency. I call it a currency. I like the dollar, but a lot of people are doing it [Bitcoin] and frankly, it's taken on a life of its own,” Trump replied. “You probably have to do some regulation, as you know, but many people are embracing it. And more and more, I'm seeing people wanting to pay Bitcoin, and you're seeing something that's interesting, so I can live with it one way or the other.”

Am a bit curious on one particular note by the way and that's the aspect of mixers here in the community and the united States government as a whole, I just wandering if the case could be reverse if actually Donald trump's vouch for Bitcoin is sincere enough and he gets to win the election and becomes the united States president for the second time, is there any chance that Bitcoin might have a friendly picture in the affair of the country and law makers.?

Well, Im not saying that you are wrong in thinking this, but you still have to admit that it is just speculation at this point.  And for my part, Im just pointing out that none of those massive changes happened during his first term despite all his "promises" during the campaign.

In Trump's first term:

1. He did not expect to win: he and his people were completely unprepared to do anything with the presidency.

Now: The Republicans have created a complete plan for what they want to do two years ahead of time called Project 2025, which puts everything in place for the mass deportation of American residents and banning abortion nationwide on day one of Trump's presidency.

2. Trump was not a convicted criminal when he won in 2016.

Now: Trump has learned that he can be a criminal and Republican voters don't care, so it would be absolutely stupid of him to be constrained by any sort of law--and breaking the law as the US president is worth billions, if not trillions of dollars to him and his family.

Trump's next term in office would have absolutely no resemblance to his first term. He will be as close to a dictator as the US has ever seen.

Dont get me wrong, Im not rooting for Trump, but if you are going to use this argument, it is fair to mention that during his first term in office, Bitcoin went up more than 3900%Cheesy

That's why people don't want Trump.

If we trust the democratic process, the majority of people will get exactly what they want (or deserve, some would say).

Elon Musk has said he plans to commit around $45 million a month to a new super political-action committee backing former President Donald Trump’s presidential run, according to people familiar with the matter
Looks like crooks always find each other and help each other as well specially if they are the rich oligarchs.

It's interesting to point out that in a topic about positive stance on Bitcoin, it is brought up that the Elon FUD Musk is helping Trump, the same Musk that has spread a lot of FUD about bitcoin Wink

What a wonderful world it would be, if our main econonomy was on a blockchain. And imagine voting tokens. Maybe we could even save up our voting tokens(and wait to use them for a proposal we really care about)

Every thing would be voted on the blockchain, wouldnt that be beautiful? Would have to make sure everyone actually control their own private keys though, but u could say when a person is born they get a private key that are their ID. Ofc they will only share their public key.

Maybe we could microchip everyone like dogs, just with a private key Wink

This thread is going a bit off-topic with the last few comments... I understand the concern of people with certain political views about Trump possibly being elected again, but why do you think that would be so bad?  He already has one term behind him, right?  Have there been any draconian laws?

He attacked the US Capitol, leading to several people being killed.

He corruptly pardoned criminals who gave him political donations, including one who was found guilty of ripping off his own supporters.

He is a convicted criminal, and is indicted for many other crimes which are extremely serious.

He has promised to surrender Ukraine--and the rest of Europe--to Russia. He repeats Kremlin propaganda on a daily basis.

He said the patriots buried in Arlington National Cemetery we "fools" because they needlessly threw away their lives instead of using his family's money to get him out of serving in the Army.

He will deport 15% of the American workforce, building up a massive new government bureaucracy and police force to do so, and decimate the US economy while doing it.

He will make abortion illegal nationwide, leading to a massive new police force in order to stop the millions of abortions in the USA that occur here every year (akin to the Great Prohibition, which created a massive new police state in the USA).

In his first time Trump was a one-man crime wave, and his voters have demonstrated that they don't care about this in the least, meaning he would be an absolute idiot if he didn't commit more crimes while in office to enrich himself and his family.

In Trump's first term, he didn't think he could get away with very much. Now he knows his voters don't care, because they actually want a dictator, not a president. He knows he would be stupid not to use this power, which will be unlike any president the United States has ever seen.

Under Trump we will see massive changes that will disrupt the lives of all Americans.

Or we can get Biden, which will mean the same stuff we've been living with for the last four years when, well, Bitcoin went up 500%.

That's why people don't want Trump.
